Before and After

Before Dental

After Dental

I miss my upper fang! I'm embarrassed to smile now. I'll make Mom look into  a denture for me.

After the Dental

Kitties!  I must have been having some discomfort or even pain before my  dental extraction.  Because I am eating like an eating machine now.  WowWEEE! I am showing I am back with all cylinders firing.

Mom is surprised that since Leopard went on vacay again several weeks ago, I have not chosen to lay on her head.  I see it..I know I can, but I think Leopard broke me of it. She's glad, yet having that warm warm fur mashed up against her face and hearing my purring is such a sweet thing she said.  And now, no more.  But, she CAN breathe.  I won't even stay the night these days except to be on her chest until she turns the light out.  After that, I may get back on the bed sometime in the night.  Mm has felt the warmth around where her waist is on occasion, but not all night. She misses me.

I do help with housekeeping though.  This was last Sunday as we changed the sheets. I was waiting to re-fur the clean ones.

Oh, and the roaming pawparazzi crept up to my napping place later and snapped this!

She has taken so many pictures of my delicious looking furred feets I could have an album just of those!   I can't keep her away for pity sake! A paw is a paw is a paw I keep meowing.  To no avail. Those get smooched so many times I'm surprised there's any furs left.  It was my contribution to keep her virus free till she got her vaccination.  What would she do without me.  I ask you.

You Know What They Say

Kitties!  You can lead a Floppy Mousie to water, but you can't make him drink!

He is out cold from thirst because of his stubbornness.  He's lucky he didn't drown though.  I put my Shrimpie in the water bowl the other day out of kindness to return him to his watery home.  Mom rescued him.  I think Floppy Mousie will get my mouf-to-mouf resuscitation.

Return to Previous Normal

Good morning Kitties and Woofies.  I may try a selfie this time.  I never checked to see if Google changed  the way we do that and just assumed they had,

I had a big horking time this morning.  The last week I haven't done that at all.  I haven't had any hard food and mom thought that may have been the problem all along.  The hard food.  But apparently not.  She made the mistake of giving me a full serving.  I made the mistake of giving it back to her.  Sigh.  Back to teaspoon servings.

Here I am, finally up on the back of my chair last night.  First time since the surgery. See my poor arms?  Well, one arm.  The other one is just as bald. Mom said I look like a miniature poodle coming down the hallway!  NO end to insults!

Whoops!  I forgot how to do the selfie.  I was just set to do it...had my selfie picked out and when mom started to help me she was like...what ?  So, maybe another time.  She'll embarrass us by asking someone to remind her of the steps.

Time and Tide

Time and Tide waits for no kitty.  But I am on the upswing.  So much so that in the deep  dark night time, I overturned my toy basket again.  I didn't sleep with Mom again though. Not since last weekend. I refused breakfast.  Mom opened 3 cans until there was something I would eat.  I went UTB again several times but Mom and brother had to go to the Big City for him before 7 this morning so I couldn't play on her heartstrings very long.

I fell asleep on her this early afternoon so things are looking up.  Oh.  For some reason..do you know why? I laid in the litter box last night as though it was a cushion!  Mom was horrified.  It's a hooded one, so she got me one of my tents and out it in the living room where I could see it, and I came straight out and got into my tent.  Maybe I wanted to be alone but not UTB?

My other favorite brovver sent this picture of a cracker to momma last night and me on my sick bed!!! and said that it reminded him of someone.  Mom bit, and asked what or who?

Then, she opened the file and saw it.  He was making fun of ME again. He was saying I am fat.  See the way it looks like ears on the cracker in the picture?  Looks like a fat cat head he is saying.  I am SUING him for damages to my self esteem!!  I can't represent myself...you know what they say about that...so I need to get in touch with the J-Cats right away and sue the knickers off my other favorite brovver.  How DARE he say that about me???  He also calls me a pot roast! Who's with me here!?!

Look at me yesterday afternoon in the door way soaking up the rays.  And the other picture is me late last night after my brief sojourn in my litterbox.  Biggafy and you'll see my eyes and mustache.

That Was No Fun

Kitties!  I got home from the dental and really it was too soon.  They should have kept me longer. When mom opened the PTU in the kitchen, I tried to come out and head for my food dish- but I looked like a star fish on the floor.  All of my legs spread outward. Mom was horrified and I wasn't happy.  I CRAWLED in a swimming motion to the dish. But with the cone on, I couldn't eat.  (I have a cone and a T-shirt because I am wearing a pain patch). My legs would not support me.. Mom made a call to the Vet and they weren't alarmed in the least.  It wasn't their baby unable to walk and eat I guess.  In other more fair words, they are used to the effects of anesthetic, and mom isn't.

Mom picked me up and put me on the carpet that first few minutes and I was able to stand and stagger a bit.  The kitchen floor is shiny wood.  But I  collapsed.  My legs just couldn't do it.I got better the next day, yesterday, and walk fine now.  I only had one large P clump from over night Monday and  I made one for the day, Tuesday.  There were two very small ones over night for Wednesday, today.  No solids. I'm getting Forti Flora again. Hope it helps.

I am using UTB for my safe place which I go to many times a day for awhile. I refuse brushies, and act a bit afraid of mom occasionally. I don't help her when she's in the bathroom making up a face and hair do, they way I always have each morning, while begging to be combed. I'm afraid she'll take me to theVet again I guess. I am not myself.  Mom's helping me a lot here.  I ate a lot when she took the cone off but didn't drink nor use the box until hours later.

I didn't until this morning make it to bed with mom even though she had some helps there for me.

Mom has been sad at my total change of personality though she knows why. She is waiting for me to come out so she can remove the T shirt and pain patch.

That's my update Kitties and woofies.

Before they came to take me back

Before mom took that cone off

Purrs for me Please

Kitties, I am in the hospital having my upper fangs taken. They will x-ray and mom has told them not to  take any others out until they call her first. She is sure hoping not to hear the phone ring.

I was a naughty girl yesterday.  Look at my toy basket and what I did with three fourths of my stash:

Later before bedtime, this was me.  Mom was going to do a video as I was pushing the basket upright by its handle only to have it come back.  I was still trying after half a minute or so, so mommy just took this picture and fixed the basket and my toys for me.

Mom has taken me to my Dr.  this very early morning.  No food and no drink.  It was as hard on mom as it was on me.  She can't stand for me to not have everything right. And even now I am having my dental.  Mom told them not to take more than they said unless they call her and tell her what's going on.

See you later, kitties and woofies.  Be glad for your loving pet parents.

Looking Back

Kitties!  Mom was going through some old pictures and look who she found.  Admiral.  Looking lovely and feminine; and all that with her superior mouse catching skills!  That girl could get them.  AND as with me, Katie, she could and did bring them into the bed in the middle of the night for Mom. I took a page from her book and did that one time.  So far that was the last time.  I had only been here for a  month when I caught that mouse. I have to say he was still lively when I laid him in the bed.  I was leaping around playing with him among the sheets when mom turned on the bedside light and saw him.

He was leaking a little so mom had to change the the sheets, then chase him, and he disappeared the way he came in.  I, Katie, did not inflict a great deal of harm just then, but enough to mess up the sheets when I presented him to sleeping  mom.

Ah, those were the days...back in Jan. 2012.

Got Something For You Mom

Kitties!  Each night I bring in just two of my small family instead of the five I used to bring.  Donkey and Floppy Mousie.   The other mousies and duckies in my family are brought to other good places in my house.  The entry way of the other rooms in case they wish to spend the night there, or in the hallway where they can make their own choice.  Here are the two that always come with me and with an announcement-- each night.  Mom just says "thank you" with each of my bellows.  You can also see the footstool mom uses to get into bed (mattress topper makes it more difficult, as it makes the trip up there even higher).  Look at all of my feets tracks!  Mom loves vacuuming to make it all smooth again for a little while.  But I am on patrol and I like to show that evidence.

Swiped these from FB I think... I LOVE that one with the Tuxedo, and what he was saying!  Troof!

In Mamma's Chair...Like it or Not, I told her.

Kitties!  It's raining hard again. Mom wants to head out again, but she just washed her hair and  she said she doesn't want to get it all messed up with windy rain.  Like that would bother ME! Not.   Her hair is long though.  Mine is too, but not like hers.

So, here I am, and here I will stay instead of my own chair...the recliner. Mom'll have to deal.

Yes?  Is there something I can do for you?

She wants to drift off if she gets into the recliner and I am on her lap which-- is why she doesn't want to do that. The warmth and the purring just knocks her out of "D" and shifts her into "N".  She won't actually nap.  She opens an eye between  my purrs and sees what the minute hand says.  She'll close her eyes and look every couple of minutes until 10-15 minuets tops, is up,   Then, she gets active again because to fall asleep means lying there in the bed at night waiting hours to go to sleep she said.  Me, don't have that issue.
