Woe is Me...Woe....Woe....

Kitties, I can barely dictate.  And who knows what SHE will say.  Will she follow my dictation??

Kitties, she made me to to the v-e-t and besides having my claws cut to the NIBS!  She let them give me the State required rabies shot.

Now, my poor left leggy is hurting where they stabbed me and I am favoring it ever so slightly.  And I am wandering about not seeming able to rest in one place very well.

Mom put on my baby shows and I fell asleep watching them as she went to the grocery store, but I got up and I am just not able to settle long.

Here I am in a fuzzy got-to-get-it-before-Katie-moves shot of blissful slumber last night.  I'm in my recliner.  Little did I know I would be ambushed and stabbed today.

So far in life I don't sing the song of my people.  I barely "struggle" as she gathers me and carries me to my PTU.  I am quiet to and from.

This is the third and I hope the last v-e-t I will go to.  Mom changed me again, and this is the third one. ... because those front office people at the last place are, as she put it..not me Kitties, I don't use that kind of language...she said crappy!  She did.

Kitties, look at all the hard work I did in my room, getting out my toys and carrying them around the house.    And then, look at me as I rest up from all the exertion!  Both white tipped feets in the air, my mustache shining whitely and...my eyes, green jewels, are shining back at mom.  Biggafy for seeing my sweetness.  xox  My white whiskers are laid out on my puzzle box too.

Kitties and Woofies and pawrents.  I just visited Tales From the Foster Kittens and they had a fantastic blog posted among all the others great blogs.

Here is the eye opening blog she wrote about a touchy subject with me, since there are so many cat haters and detractors out there.  This blog showcased a good example of that misinformation on an NBC show.  Here is my comment that I just put on her blog a few minutes ago. I am going to ask her permission to publish this and if she says all right, I will.  It's a topic near to my heart.  Please read the link I have included above this sentence "an NBC show".  Then you will see my comment on her blog below.

"I hate shows on cats and dogs or just cats. They are NEVER going to get it right. They just repeat the useless hogwash that started however long ago, and never bother to try to sort our what is wrong. MY cats have always loved me because...SURPRISE! If you love them, they love you back! And show it!! That's what Katie's blog is all about. Her love of me. That I love her too is a given and obvious. But it's a relationship that we BOTH have worked on and contributed to".


I could have written an essay on the topic in my answer but I wanted to be courteous and not take up a lot of space. I wonder if you all too have noticed the seeming never ending prejudice against cats. They are NOT dogs and don't have dog personalities. Seems most people insist that cats must act like dogs or they say cats are just deceitful and not worthy of loving or caring about. Human attributes for an animal! How smart is that? Attributing human thought patterns and behaviors to an animal. Yup. That's smart. Expecting two differing species to act alike. Smart squared, huh? It won't do any good for me to keep ranting. See ya laters. I'm gonna cuddle Katie. She will appreciate it.

I will add here before I close that all Katie's blogs are meant to show just how sweet AND loving a cat can be. All of her stories are true, and when she says she loves me, she does. This is because I love her also. If the haters out there would treat their cat in a manner consistent with the personality cats are born with, there would be happier cats and people families.

Special day to Me and Mommy

Kitties!  My mommy is elebenty squillion years old toDAY!  She is.

I gave her one of her favorite presents that I don't do every day.  That is I can running from the kitchen and did it with my back arced up into Halloween mode and ran/hopped all the way across the living room to her delight. My face was turned toward her, so I know.  It just makes her so happies to see me look at her, straight at her when I show her what I'm made of.  I entertain her as well as love her.  Last night as a prelude, I had both arms in my wooden puzzle box, and here is why. She had dropped maybe fifteen pieces of kibble in there and I reached in and gathered them in my paw, one by one and put them in my mouth!  That totally enchants her.  I bat some out too.  Not saying I don't.  But when I reach in like that for maybe six or seven pieces, she just gets all tickled and delighted.

I love to please her because she pleases me so much.  So, picking up my kibble and putting it in my mouth and running past her several times Halloween cat style while looking her right in the eyes...that was my birfday pressie to her.

Sunday Selfie

Kitties, do you even have the same problem spreading your toes wide wide wide to press the iPhone button?  How about when you don't use the back camera and you get some blurry mess on the floor..sorta. Then you gotta hit the back camera again and spread spread spread your toesie again.  It ain't what it's cracked up to be, I'll tell ya.

The Furries of Whisppy ~~~ Cathy, the loving mom of all of the kitties of Whisppy is so deserving of this award.  She loves all animals no matter what species they are.  She loves and respects their lives and who they are individually.  She has been responsible for many rescues and her own family of fur babies are rescues.  She is everything I want to be and does everything I wish I had done.  She is the very sun in her city, her compassion is a light to all .

Sweet Purrfections~~~ Mom Paula, the mommy of two gorgeous girls, Brûlée and Truffle.  Mom Paula works endlessly for all of us here in the CB.  The work she has and is accomplishing in the Calendars we all have loved and use each day come with Mom Paula's hard and exacting work.  Aside from the fact that her girls are funny and loving and a delight to the eye.  <3 to all three of them.

Then,  I am to write a short paragraph on how I am spreading the light.  Darned hard to do.  I can only think of one thing.  I try to spread love and I try hard to spread the sunshine that is Katie Isabella.  Kathryn Isabella, she said.  She likes me to get it right occasionally.  Katie's and my purpose while helping her log is to tell true stories about her accomplishments but mostly her antics which make me burst with love for her as she  is extraordinarily loving and as sweet as a bowlful of sugar, unerringly.  We just want to share that love she has AND shows for each and every single person, stranger, worker, friend, anyone she comes in contact with.   If she and I make one CB blogger smile a little, we feel we have done something good.

LOVE each of you.  Really.

Demanding Monday (and all the rest of the week as well)

Kitties, woofies, I have standards.  Class starts in half an hour and I will explain them so I will always be pleased.  Mommy?  You are in the front row.

Big Bonanza

So then, there was yesterday meowing when mom was doing alllll she could to get out the door at 0730.  She had been literally fast-walking for an hour trying to get herself ready,  dressed, and more importantly feed me then mash a billion of those little piss ants she calls 'em that have come through the ONE place that wasn't caulked at the window in the kitchen.

She uses masking tape to stick them to the tape and man, she man really pound that stuff down onto the counter and get hundreds within less than a minute.

OK.  Where was I?  Oh yes, it was 0730 and she HAD to get gone to Knoxville THEN.  (Most of the time from 0545 on was mashing ants).  So, shoes on and door open she asked if I wanted a treat.  I said yes, I would.

She reached into the cabinet where they are along with the 3# can of coffee and as she took the coffee out to reach for the treats (Party Mix---grilled) down came the large bag of Party Mix.  And guess what Kitties?  She'd forgotten to press the top to seal the bag.

Oh Kitties, it rained treats all OVER the kitchen counter, floor, trash lid, stove and across the narrow kitchen floor to the sink base.  SO.....we have to scoop them up, sweep, and in general  start late.  Meanwhile I am vacuuming up the treats as fast as I can.

She finally got out, late but out to the car and I had to sit ALLLL day till 1700 by myself.  She and a beloved guest, Brovver, got here, had supper, so did I and the rest was normal.

Sheesh.  All I gotta say.

Thoughtful Friday

Kitties, it's just so sad.  Not only for me but for Mom too.  We suffer together when one of our furriends runs off to the Bridge and now, Star of CelestialKitties left her family and the rest of us so quickly I can hardly believe it.  Please go by her family blog and leave a word of comfort for her siblings and her mom and dad.  I heard mom say she was heartbroken.  I think she is--  her eyes keep leaking.  Good bye sweet girl.  I will look for your star, named after you darling girl.

Helping Brian Get the Word Out on These Kitties

 

Greenville, SC A mother cat had her kittens at our Vet's office and we are unable to find homes for any of them,  Time is running out to help them and our local shelter is overrun with cats and kittens and I know they would not have a good outcome if we cannot find them a home soon. We have run adds in the newspaper and tried everything and we cannot seem to find even one home or interest.   They were born April 21st and are fully vetted spayed/neutered, up to date on all shots and dewormed and deflead.  They have not left the wonderful care of the Vet's office since they were born.  They are highly socialized and beautiful and just need a warm loving home.  We are truly struggling to find even one or two homes to save a few.

My Name is Katie and I Lick the Shower Curtain

Kitties, I confess.  I lick the shower curtain.  I do.  I am always in there straddled on the tub edge every single morning to help mom put her face on.  One arm dangling on each side and one foot dangling on each side.  I am flattened and my head is down like that too.  Until I recall the shower curtain liner is there.  Mom has a silky fabric one and the plastic liner.  Well, I love that liner.  When I am not telling her how to apply make-up I am licking the shower curtain liner.  Mom always stops me.  WHAT is her PROBLEM?  Is it costing her anything?  No. So, what's up with it??

Here I am puzzling about it.  Mom took this a few hours ago.
