All is Forgiven

 Kitties!  Brovver will be here July 2.  And I have to go get my claws manicured on Thursday, July 6th.  Glad he will be here to distract me.  However...observe!

I am in my carrier!  Mom always has had it out since I came here in 2012.  I sleep in it a lot but avoided it after that fiasco Tuesday.  So I am over being frightened. 

I'll show you how I sleep in my new beddie too.

A Day in the Life

 Kitties! I had a bad day yesterday for the first time in my life here with Mom.  

Mom gathered me up to put me in the PTU to take me to have my nails trimmed.  Mom never gets concerned about that because I never put up a fuss.  Well, this time I did- and it was a major one.  Before that happened, she got me poured into the PTU as always, but the floor of the PTU shifted diagonally and crowded me..scaring me.. so I managed to squeeze out.  A scurry took place all over the house and I won.  Mom was devastated that she scared me and she run after me ---and all that.  My swords are still on me and now she's worried about the next time she will try.  I hid under the spare twin bed and Mom went away feeling terrible.  I came out four hours later and came close to forgiving her.  She was pitifully grateful.

Mom! Who Moved My Cheese?

 Kitties, mom double crossed me yesterday afternoon and I don't mean her arms!  

My Client and his mom came over on a surprise visit later afternoon.  We are always up for that!  BUT while she was here, & while my Client was in my room using the computer,  my Client's mommy and my mom got this horrible idea!  

Mom had bought furniture sliders the size of the lion paw-like legs on the heavy heavy solid oak dining table and chairs.  (The chairs got sliders too that are tiny- and are stuck onto the chair leg bottoms.) So, first they moved that dining table away...rolled up the area rug under it!!!  That was a crime!!  I used that rug!! and they took it away.  Worse still, they laid it out in MY room!  MY ROOM!  I don't like change like that.  Made me really grumpy. 

So now, I still have one area rug in the living room.  (I claw carpet.  That's why.  Mom would rather I claw the area rug.) But MY room is desecrated with the other rug!  

 

But I did get my new beddie back!  I won!  I don't fit, but I won! I went straight to sleep.

Rainy Tuesday

 Kitties!  It continues to rain.  Yesterday's weather said nine additional days of it.  It's not every moment of every day.  But close enough.  Mom ran out hoping to to get several things at the store before it started in again.  She just made it home the same time as the thunder got here. 

Mom bought me a new beddie,  but it is really too small though I use it.  I get out after a while to nap on the floor where I can spread out.  Mom sneaked and took it away this afternoon and put my old beddie back.

I sleep with my arms up in the air a lot of times.

The picture of me on the table wide eyed was taken one month after I came home to live with Mom.  I was young then.  No freckles in my eye and so lovely, my Mommy said.  She took this with a Nikon V1 she was trying out that one of her brothers had at the time.  

Around the House

Kitties!!! It's a sunny day- at least so far.  I am enjoying it as I nap.  A sunpuddle will fill my beddie and cover me up as I nap here in about 45 minutes.   

If you haven't seen Da Tabbies o Trout Town yet with their tribute to Father's Day, you gotta go!  My mom snickered and she even snorted for pity sakes while reading it, and went back today for some more.  So did I.  But my snickers and snorts sure sounded better than hers.  Sheesh! 

Thought I would show you a Christmas present that Mom got a few years ago from one of my brovvers and wife..and talk about an ATTITUDE!  That kitty sure had one!

And Kitties, look who was outside the bedroom window!  A NEW- to-us Tabby with the classic coat design.  (wonder what it cost?)

My Client

 Kitties!  My client is going after me, checking my depositions and writs against his parents to enforce their compliance and submissions I have prepared.   to wit:  They who work my Client's fingers to the bone!!!  He had to clean up his toys!  Not spill his drinks at supper nor indulge at table in the artistic talents he has honed to a fine point, by using his supper as a medium to create a work of art...fit for display.  

Here he is.  His earnestness is filling the room!!  I shall start a Conference with him in a moment outlining the above!  Can't have this, if he wishes to remain my Client he has to do as I say.  Otherwise, I shall recommend a J-Cat! 

Old Dear Friends

 Kitties!  My old dearest friends ever are back, thanks to me.  The past several weeks Donkey and Floppy Mousie had come into our bedroom after lights out.   I imposed a long hiatus on their coming in with us.  They were always asking me for things like a drinkie or a morsel.  I got tired of it and told them that for a while, they had to stay in my room or the living room.  Both Pink and Fat Mousies are next. 

Mom has enjoyed hearing my announcements each night and always thanks me as I bring in the family.

She also said we have the most trackable carpet in the universe. Sigh.  

  

Holding Feet for Comfort

 

 During our tornado warning last night, we were holding feet for comfort.  We didn't get the rotation here at our house.  Just driving rain, hail, high high winds and thunder and lightning.  

Loud cracks of thunder drive me to UTB.  But I had Mom.  

Here I am afterward.  Took over an hour for the activity to finish.  I know my Mom will protect me.

  

3---Count 'em

 Kitties!  There are three kitties next door. They are in and out she said.  I have seen them all, but I didn't know they were claimed.  I just see them now and again.  Mom made friends with the 12 year old girl who was outside,  and paid her to move branches mom had cut that afternoon, to over the fence in back.  That was to ask about the kitties.  Worth the money to find out.  The whippet they have is ancient but still going.   That's a mystery solved!   They are in and out...mostly out.  Even the girl mentioned that she at least was worried about cars.  It's the Indianapolis Speedway right in front of the houses here. 

Here I am, relaxing about it just a few minutes ago.  A weight off my Tuxie shoulders. 

Mom thought this was so true.  

Kitty Update of Sorts

 Mom saw something VERY heartening yesterday.  Apparently, all three kids next door are going to summer school.  Yesterday morning while mom was at the kitchen window, she saw the cat next door that she wrote about running as fast as her legs could carry her straight down to the boys who were waiting for the school bus.  The kitty ran straight up to one of the boys and he immediately with no hesitation sunk to the sidewalk and started gently petting and petting the ladycat.  Who had her tail up, & crept into his lap and was loving every second.  That sort of goes with her not being afraid of my mom when she is here in the yard.  She really is being treated lovingly it seems which made us very happy.  First we have seen evidence of that, just because mom was standing at the window in the kitchen at the perfect time.  

Mom and I mentioned last week that we don't see her out all the time, and that she is well fed (we are hoping with cat food, not the dog's food)  and so we have no real idea whether she is out all the time as mm said.  I am beginning to think not.  She wasn't in my yard during hard winter, huddled as some have been through the years, and broken our hearts.  Mom has had to work for the welfare of those few cats through the years so treated badly.  

Mom said she doesn't like that I sleep in here more than my beddie now or anywhere else. 

Mom gave up with the couch covers and did as Brian does..stretch a sheet.  I love it!!!

There is a bee, maybe more than one smack in the middle of  the clovers visiting all of the flowers.  Mom kept the clovers this time.

 Me when I was here maybe less than a year.  How I loved and still love that chair.  It's mine.  I am sound asleep, mouf open, teefs showing. 

Bags R Us

When I was in my home with my mom, the first several years were endless fun.  Fun afterward too, but the first years were a joy for sure.  Mom laffed even more than I did.
