Oh Noes......

 Guys, I commenced sneezing last night.  'Nuff sed.  I hope it doesn't bloom into a full blown cold.  I have had three since being here all these years and all three were from Vet offices.  Misery totally for several weeks with running eyes, running noses, and constant sneezing.  (in her face all night.)  Seems like there is nothing that can be done for cats.  If there is, tell my Mom..please.  

Did the weekly Fill-Ins over at Auntie Ellen's house this morning.  Those were fun.  Mom was remembering two other family members, Robin and Hopping John during them.  

Just saying hello this morning.  It is a beautiful day.  Soon as Mom finally leaves the computer and gets dressed for pity sake, she said she's headed out to take a bouquet of roses from the front of the house here, to her oldest.  It's his birthday and he aways loved walking the yard all around the house enjoying the flowers and bird activity.  So, Mom will take him some flowers today.  I bonded with him as he was here when I first came home.  He was visiting for the weekend.usually.  (Home cooking!!  Laundry done for him!!!)  Let's get bizzy.  I have pestering to do, eating and getting brushies!

Lucky Girl

 Who's loved?  That would be me.  Here I am on mom's lap but this is the first time I lave laid my head onto her chest all relaxed and asleep.   I a still sitting though very asleep.  My head just softly dropped right there. 

 

Mom was trying to take my picture and pull her (still chill enough in the house for it) flannel night gown up out of the way.  Awkward. 

Grandson headed over.  I have to man the battle stations! Make mom tell you what she did in the arrangement of our bed!  I'm mad.  If I was not the lawyer myself, I'd call one!!!!

Little Mrs. Sweetheart

 

Kitties!  My mom took me you-know-where yesterday.  I got it really hard!  First, a blood test where they stole my bloods just for meanness!  THEN after THAT, they gave me a B-12 shot!  Yeah.  And then, and then, they gave me a bolus of water!!  THEN for pete sake, they cleaned my ears out and stole some of my claws.  WHO went through worse than that!?  No cat. AND I lost three ounces!  I did.  I was 6# 3oz.  but this time just 6#.  That stinkin' tech said, all un-asked of course, "She still lost weight!" (you can supply the crappy tone!) when it rolled to 6 pounds.  Pi$$ed my mom off and me too when she un-necessarily said that, but we neither of us said so... or changed our look.  Well, I looked pretty pi$$ed myself after all they put me through.   Results this morning.  Dr. Paul said I was high normal.  I didn't get my meds before the visit..that is part of it and there are times when I make mom skip a day by being totally, well,  pi$$y about the process and Mom doesn't get to give me my meds though she does keep trying thru the day.

Mom's Helper

Kitties!  I am going to help mom change the bed linens.  IF she doesn't get the door shut before I can get in there that is.   For some reason, my help is not welcomed.  That's an insult. 

She came in here to type what I told her to, to get me off her trail.  I have refused two separate cans of Feast.  "Here we go again" I heard her mutter.  She will call the V-E-T and make an appt. for my annual T4 test and of course that will include claws and ears and B-12.  Maybe she can catch me before I become more fussy.  Last month it took two days for my appetite to return after I got my shot. (B-12)

Mom here:  I have noticed that when Katie moves to my head after the light is turned off at night, she steps carefully into placed after a few seconds of decision making on her part, she lowers herself down and pokes her face into the niche of my neck and head I fall asleep almost before I could count to 1!!  That warm little face, whiskers and light purrs just send me off immediately.  Without her there..it takes a while as I can't easily quieten my thoughts.   Mom Finished:

Mom said she is going to present the newest breakfast offering again in a minute  I stand on my back legs risen up to get my food- so I am hungry,  NO idea why I refuse  the offering the way I do,  none at all.

Gonna Get Hotter

Kitties!  Been cold enough to need a light jacket or heavy sweater for the Mom when she goes out till about noon or thereabouts.  But this is typical for this area.  Cold (it was 47 last night) or cool weather hangs on till mid May or thereabouts as Mom and I have both mentioned and then...molten lava heat comes in and stays till somewhere in November.   

The heat comes on here when it gets down to 68 in the house at night.  Mom has lain there in a short sleeve night gown way ahead of time and froze her patootie off in the night because she was dumb enough to let a few warmer days and nights fool her into taking the blankie off.  She let an extremely light fleece thrown stay on the top sheet...and usually that is enough  these past several months.  (warmer in the bed with that than you might imagine.) 

Meanwhile company is coming here in a few minutes so I wanted to get my claws moving to say Howdy, and how are ya, before that.  Wanna see mom's roses?  Well, here they are anyway!!  

Mom'll be getting us a new front door within several weeks.  Then a new HVAC unit.  Waiting on a little warmer because the front door will be open a lot till all is installed. $$$$$$.  Gotta do it she said. 15 yrs. old.

when they started making new leaves waaaaay back in late February, bugs got the leaves.  Mom fixed THAT! 

Making it Up to Her

 Kitties!  I scared mom with my itty bitty heart beat in her ear night before last--- but:  Look what I did to make amends!

I bought Donkey AND Mousie in last night with all appropriate sounds and salutations.  Pomp and circumstance that they both deserved!  I hardly ever bring  my babies into the bedroom any more.  When I do, it is a day to celebrate.  Mom said it's easy to see who I love most.  Donkey best of all, Mousie next!  Then, Fat Pink Mousie (but he's not here this morning).  Lion is favored, but he doesn't make the cut as often.  

We have 16 inches of rain for the year so far.  Not much for almost 5 months when you come down to it.  Supposed to rain off and on the rest of the week and the weekend. Better than many are getting though. 

Mom said I have to quit  I need my meds but keep running away.  I started that three weeks ago and Mom doesn't know why.  I've been excellent till then.

Oh What a Night!

 Kitties!  There Mom and I were.  Asleep.  And it being the middle of the night of course.  

She woke..she always does for no reason about 0300.  She became aware of a racing heart!  Racing like gangbusters!  She laid there galvanized at how extreme the heart rate was!  She slowly reached one hand to the other hand to feel her wrist and pulse for the zillion bpm heart rate.   She never got to her wrist because she became aware of the soft warmth against her head.  That was me.  I was still parked there from when she turned out the light and we went to sleep.  

She lifted her left arm (I sleep on the passenger side of the bed I told ya) and that includes her rather flat (preferred by her--- and me ackshully)  pillow.  There was plenty of it sticking out to the left, so I occupied it of course. Racing heart continued however and she started to reach again for her wrist and maybe the yelly-o-fone to call for help.  

As she was more awake by then, she noticed, or felt the ripple of my six pound body's wee spine pressed hard against her head. She concentrated for a few seconds and only then realized that was ME and MY normal heart rate she was hearing against her head.  She has no idea I was pressed hard against her until then!  She dared to  move her head slightly to the right then. WHEW!  OH my GOSH!  "What an awful scare thinking my heart was beating that fast" Mom said aloud to the dark room and me!!!  How she could think so- when she felt perfectly normal is a mystery to me.  I guess it's from being dazed in just woken up sleep.  

Not fun.  Nope.  Sure wasn't. She moved me off the pillow so she could go to sleep without the trip hammer going.  There are times I heard her say that  a fella wishes they were married.  Then she could wake someone else up and scare them to death I guess!

Good Golly

Kitties!  I swear, can't keep Mom outta trouble.  Here she goes again with the eye thingy!  Well, this time, she didn't wait long, just a day and called for a work-in at the Ophthalmologist office.  Got the appt. within an hour.  Mom told a friend that the Dr.  had to turn her upper eyelid outward to see what was going on, as Mom thought she had a painful speck in her eye.  Dr. knew that wasn't it.   Cutting to the chase as this is MY blog not hers...she'll go do her blog  next...it is/was a very painful dry eye syndrome she was having. Whoda thunk it?  Lots of stuffs to help out, and it DID!  She is going to make a change as soon as she can to keep air from blowing into her eyes over night.  (Don't ask.  Boring.) 

Sun is out..still in  the 40's in the night which Mom likes and really me too.  I am curled on her face, ear and head.  But it is rising to low 70's in the day.  Meh.
