Many Faces of Me

Well, Kitties, not really many faces.  I have but one.  But here it is again from last night about 45 minutes before we got up to go to bed.  (Mom slept terribly badly last night).  I was getting warmed up!

Sound asleep...Just been smooched.

Mom loved this one.

These two are still brought in every night to sleep with us.  Every night.  It always makes mom smile and happy to see their little bodies in there.  With L-O-U-D howling announcements.  They are Floppy Mousie and Donkey.

Keeping Warm

I told Mom you have seen two of these but she's stubborn.  Here they ...the two...are again because she thinks I look pretty.   The bottom one is me hugging the wall heat vent this morning.  I have one in each room of course.  A girl has to do what a girl has to do.  Don't see no mancats to snuggle with.

Finally!

Kitties, eight days with Mom here 24 hrs a day was starting to spoil me worse than I already am. Snow and ice as you know, but when she tried to leave yesterday finally on the 7th day,  when enough clearing had taken place the car wouldn't start.

So today, afternoon,  After it got to 37f, with a lot of gasping, choking, and smelling of gas...(the car...not mommy) 😊 Micah started-- and she sat out there letting Micah warm up a bit while I watched, till the car remembered its good manners.  She left and finally got to go to the grocery.

So...I got an early supper start since I did not like breakfast.  I'm walking around meowing.

This is what greeted mom when she got home from the store.

She saw me and that I missed the sunpuddle.

Closer up.  I am running over into her part of the couch as well as my own.

Ah. Mom's Wrapped!

Kitties!  Mom is wrapped around my paw.  The last week she's allowed me to sleep against her head.  It hurts her shoulder joint when there are almost 15 pounds on it.  But...she decided what was more important?  Her or me.

This was me just before we went to bed last night.  That's her flannel nighty...and that's me on it  Looking back at her. She was reading  a thick book, and as always, she put it down to pet and talk to me when I crawl over and lay my head... or more of me... on her.

I can see this happening any day now.

I just found out that Speckie has flown to the Bridge this day.  It breaks my heart.  Soon after her brother Dido passed.  Here is the URL.  https://mariettesbacktobasics.blogspot.com/

Gotcha Day 2024

I came home to Mom on January 16, 2012.   Today is an early Gotcha Day today though.  I was laid out  on the bed alongside Mom all night on 1/16/12...though she didn't know that till she woke up the next morning.  It was the clearest sign of love everlasting.

Everyone was so kind to me in the CB and came to greet me and make me welcome.  I haven't had too many Gotcha Days "out loud" because Mom was always horribly busy.  But she isn't now except to do what I say.  I have just a few things to nom on, on the buffet for the furriends who want to come by.  I have a liberal stash of Nip for those who wish some, and lots of things to do.  I have beddies for those who need a nap.  If any ladycats need a litterbox, I have those too.  Tall ones for the Mancats.  Flowered scoops for the girls.  Manly ones for the guys. (Mom'll be by to scoop once every half an hour).

I'm sending the bus around to pick up those whose tunnel isn't tuned up.  The schedule will be flown to you through my own tunnel to yours.  Be there or be square.  OR:  Tell me if you need my Bus.  It can travel under the ocean just great.  No worries.

Mulled catnip wine

hot chocolate

Come all!  Celebrate with me!  Eat, drink, and have fun.

More regular wine for the grownup kitties

See ya here!

Bet You Didn't Know....

Kitties!  Look what mom found posted by a friend in Canada.  She is a rescuer- and has done monumental work for kitties through the years that mom has known her on Flickr (her photos are beautiful) and on FaceBook.  Mom asked her if we could please use it for all of us here.  She said yes.  However, she could not recall where she had gotten it.  But I know Mom and I smiled really big when we saw it and we hope you do as well.

(I LURVE the Tortie description!!!)  ALL of them are fun and so well named.  I wish Teri could see the Nudist...Mudpie the Party Mix, and I of course, am Formal.

Narrow Escape *I think*

Kitties!  Mom here:  Imagine if you will...what would YOU think if you went to the "necessary" room and saw THIS startling, chilling scene?  Was Donkey in need?  Had Katie put him there with a dark reason in her mind?  Was it something he brayed?  Had he gathered his strength and leapt up on his own?  Was he thirsty?  Was it a dare?  Was someone very near but unseen on her back rolling and meowing in laughter?

Katie here: Meanwhile, Mom rescued him and talk bout braying, she was doing just that noisily as she kindly carried him into his morning  P.O.D. meeting with Lion, Floppy Mousie, Fat Pink Mousie, Floppy Duckie, and Fat Duckie.  That is when and where the P.O.D. is discussed by Donkey with his membership.  All must turn in their report at the end of the day-- so attention is needed during the meetings.

I know poor mom was shocked seeing Donkey there, and she will never really know how he got there.   Me?  I'm not meowing.  My mouth is closed. Mom's sure isn't.  Just sayin.

Oh MY! MY MY MY!!!!

Kitties!  Woofies!!! Guess what??? I will tell you!  I had guests yesterday.  Ones we enjoy very much each time we have been fortunate enough to see them.

Maybe you recall. Simba and his sister Audrey, (a beautiful pale ginger girl) lived up north.  Simba was a Ginger too, but more golden.  After they flew away to the Bridge their Mom stopped blogging.  But my mom has kept up with them all these years.  Wonderful friends.  And *I* remember the mom and dad each time we have seen them here in my home.  And yesterday was my lucky day!  Well, Mom's too.  They were visiting their family a few miles away and came to see us before they go back home.

We (they) had Earl Gray for the dad, and Sweet Cherry tea for the mom  and chocolate mint cookies before they left.  I even let Simba's mommy pick me up!  I never allow anyone to do that and I don't even like my mom doing it.   I stayed in the living room the entire time where they were, and if anyone got up to look at something I accompanied them as that is the way of a furred hostess.

This is me.  Taken by the Dad.  I was in a fabulous sunpuddle.

Mom and I enjoyed every minute.
