Gonna Get Hotter

Kitties!  Been cold enough to need a light jacket or heavy sweater for the Mom when she goes out till about noon or thereabouts.  But this is typical for this area.  Cold (it was 47 last night) or cool weather hangs on till mid May or thereabouts as Mom and I have both mentioned and then...molten lava heat comes in and stays till somewhere in November.

The heat comes on here when it gets down to 68 in the house at night.  Mom has lain there in a short sleeve night gown way ahead of time and froze her patootie off in the night because she was dumb enough to let a few warmer days and nights fool her into taking the blankie off.  She let an extremely light fleece thrown stay on the top sheet...and usually that is enough  these past several months.  (warmer in the bed with that than you might imagine.)

Meanwhile company is coming here in a few minutes so I wanted to get my claws moving to say Howdy, and how are ya, before that.  Wanna see mom's roses?  Well, here they are anyway!!

Mom'll be getting us a new front door within several weeks.  Then a new HVAC unit.  Waiting on a little warmer because the front door will be open a lot till all is installed. $$$$$$.  Gotta do it she said. 15 yrs. old.

Coming around to the side door.

Right outside the front door.  Within another month they will be crowding the front porch.

when they started making new leaves waaaaay back in late February, bugs got the leaves.  Mom fixed THAT!

It's hard to know what to do in the spring. It's cold one day, hot the next and then back to cold. You're not alone.

Your flowers are beautiful. Wow.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to Katie. ♥

Beautiful flowers! It's stayed chilly here too, but low 80s predicted next week. We're loving the extra cuddle weather though!

Spring has been long and cool. Once it warms up, you'll need the A/C.

Katie those Roses are magnificent. Your mommy has a green thumb. Roses aren't blooming way up. They haven't even made flower buds yet. We had our last frost Monday morning though. Good luck on the door in the air conditioner.

We are having unseasonably cool weather in our corner of France. But we do have some lovely flowers, including roses, in our garden.

You wouldn't think a front door would cost much; one of the cheaper home renovations, you might say. Nothing is inexpensive anymore. Beautiful roses: such beauty is still free, thank goodness.

Chaplin: "Our Mama and Dada got a new air conditioner about ten or fifteen years ago! We weren't around, but Dennis told us all about it, and also about how when Mama mentioned to the A/C contractor that old man dog Tucker couldn't tolerate the heat, the A/C people offered to add a new vent directly over his favorite dog bed ... FOR FREE."
Charlee: "Apparently doing something like that for Tucker was a sure-fire way to get our Mama's permanent loyalty."

Fabulous roses! We've had lots of chilly nights lately too but we're expecting the heat to come blasting on soon, too.

The roses are incredibly gorgeous. Bet they smell great too. When Mom and Dad were first married, she was always cold and he was always hot ... now it is reversed. Dad adds at least two afghans on top of the bedding every night. Mom can't sleep if the temp is over 63 degrees. Exciting things coming at your house. Hope you do not have to spend too much time OTB.
