Oh NOES! Snowmageddon! Or at Least a Flurry!

Kitties...the sun is shining right now and I took the covers off the bushes but:  temp will go down to 9 tomorrow is back on, but worse still Mom says ice and snow.  Don't know how much of either.

That rotten Mom got me to the Vet so he could look under my hood and check my plugs, see how much gasoline I have.and do I need a paw rotation again. (for nail trim, ear cleaning {methemizole in them} and Vitamin B12 again. )

I went straight back to our bedroom, then to the same brother room and back to our room...over and over.  Had small drink of water, a bite to eat, and another tour of the house.  I do that each time on return when  I have to leave it.  I have settled in my newest favorite, the peacock blue green chair Mom bought. If she gets up...I get into it.  So guess what Mom discovered three days ago?  After living with Mom 14 years out of the 18 years I have been in Earth, I finally scratched the dickens out of the chair arm support.  I can't believe I did that.  Mom can't either.  I never claw anything I shouldn't until three days ago. She trimmed the fibers hanging and got a full sized top bed sheet and draped the chair.  Looks like H-E-Double Hockey Sticks!

She just shoveled in a HUGE bowl of her vegetable beef soup.  Chock full of veggies.  She doesn't kid around.  Eating that soup is like having a four course meal! Tender tender  and lotsa TENDER beef and a zillion veggies.  Oh my Heavens it is SOOOOOO good.  She's stuffed-- and there goes her prancing around later I'll wager.

What's with the scratching, Katie? I know in one's old age, one is free to take up hobbies, but I'm pretty sure this shouldn't be one of them.

Chairs make the best scratchers!

Oh Katie, you really shouldn't take up chair scratching as a hobby! That soup sounds delicious!

Katie, I'm sorry if my bad habits have worn off on to you. Lynn and my chair looks like a blue long haired cat with clear shiny duck tape all over, mol. Soup de jour is the way to go in winter fur hoomans. We are expecting zero degrees and feets of snow. That'd cover da bushes fur sure.

Chair scratching is an interesting hobby sweet Katie but maybe something you shouldn't do long term. I hope the weather isn't as bad as everyone thinks!

Maybe you were getting your aggressions out from going to the vet. XO

That soup sounds delish! It's definitely going to be a soup weekend. Yikes about the chair! Maybe it was revenge for the vet! Mudpie had a vet visit this week too :(

Betcha they checked your undercarriage, tire pressure, and topped off all of your fluids too, Katie.

Please try not to worry your mom, sweet Katie Isabella, like this sudden destructive behavior. Then again, we all get cranky with age (no offense intended). Best wishes to you and yours, my dear.

I think they just took us out of the ice and snow chances for the weekend but it's still iffy, aargh. Oops on scratching the chair, Katie ... Our ruffians will most certainly scratch chairs ... Much preferred over scratchers.

Scratching furniture is not the best idea, most people get very upset about it, we work hard for that furniture.

Well, best to be late than never...with the scratching stuff...wow, it must have looked so tempting, and you succumbed in your anger at having been to the vet place. But don't do it again, Okay??
Soup!! That'll warm up the innards for sure!

I found my favorite furniture scratching place because Angel Sammy left his scent on the old (and I do mean old) sofa in Mom's studio. He tore it to shreds (Mom let him because she hates that piece of furniture Dad won't let her get rid of) and now I'm doing MY bit to make it disappear. Dad is FIRM. Mom is POUTY and I "scratch on" !! Hope your checkup proved you are as in fine a form as you look to be dear girl!

Hugs, Teddy

Ewww...Scratching a chair is not a good thing. Maybe a payback for the vet visit?
I laughed at the last bit- I am the same way- step on a person's toe-and say-Oh, Sorry! and about come to tears if I step on my pups' paws or hurt them unintentionally some way. Profuse kissing and hugs and sorry-sorry-sorry...lol. xo Diana

Chaplin: "Hey, nice work scratching up the chair, Katie! Our beloved brother Dennis would have approved!"
Java Bean: "Ayyy, Dennis scratched chairs? I thought he was a vizsla."
Charlee: "He was, and he didn't scratch chairs, he obliterated them with his teeth. But it's the destruction that counts, not the means of achieving it."

Katie, shame on you with your mom's new chair. But I bet you have been forgiven. Sometimes a vet visit requires taking one's aggressions out on an inanimate object. Better than taking it out on the mom or the vet. That soup sounds delicious. Our dad made another huge pot of his chicken/vegetable soup yesterday. We giggled at the "joke" at the end. Definitely that happens at our house, and we bet your house as well. We have a very wobbly forecast for here ... very cold temps for certain, but snow, ice, sleet and how much is anybody's guess. You two stay warm and safe. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid & Sawyer, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Kizmet, Audrey, Raleigh, Gibbs & Tali

Hmm, maybe chair scratching isn't the best hobby to start, Katie. You and Mom stay safe in this storm, okay? We love you both very much!

Katie, you and your Mom had best snuggle up close under a nice warm quilt, until the horrid snow storm is past.
