Mom took me to what I term The House of Horror. I heard my human brother call it that and I agree completely. I got my claws cut off! But the v-e-t wasn't in the room, just two girls, and they got it done with no fuss...no burrito, and that was that! I was bundled up, carried down the hallway and out the door after mom paid.
Hey..does anyone know where I can get some valerian filled toys? I have my Ratsy that was made in Wales. Mom keeps him tightly enclosed so he maintains his flavor! But it would be so good to have another something...mousie, whatever, filled with Valerian as well. Please mom, please? I had a wonderful 10 minutes with him. He's in the living room waiting with Lion and Donkey and Floppy Mousie. Well, Floppy Ducky too and Turtle.

Katie, we here have not heard of Valerian cat toys. Lynn knows it is a good herb
for hoomans, but never considered it for pets. If someone tells you where your mom
can get it I would like to know too. And what is this silvervine stuffy we read of?
I have nippy only. But I love my fresh salad Lynn picks daily.
Nice to hear it was not torture on the toe nails this time. I hate getting mine done,
but they do get done at home, so no PTU for me. Precious

We have seen valerian toys on Chewy and/or Amazon. Glad you mani/pedi was a bit less traumatic than before !

You might try going to the health food store and buying some capsules of valerian, than you can empty one or two into a mousie.
Congratulations on surviving your nail trim! Those girls knew how to do it without causing pain or scaredy-cat stuff! YAY FOR THEM AND YOU. Etsy and Amazon both have valerian toys and you deserve a basket full of them dear girl.

No muss, no fuss is a great way to get your paws serviced, KI. I think you were very brave, anyway, and I'm glad that's over with for now. Usually, I stand there nicely when they work on my nails, but one day I screamed bloody murder for every nail. Mom says maybe I just wasn't in the mood...

Glad there was no fuss. My mum drinks a tea at night to help her sleep and it has some valerian in it mixed with other herbs. The valerian drives me crazy and I keep trying to sniff Mum's cup and then I start rolling about feeling happy. Doesn't have the same affect on Mum, just makes her fall asleep.
Try searching around for valerian cat toys on Etsy and Amazon. Sadly, my human hates the smell so much she won't get them for me!
