Kitties! LOOK at this! Mommy went to try and get me foods today again after just a few cans of stuffs I'll eat that is good for me two days ago. She was hoping against hope there would be more.
There may be 2-3 varieties of FF that I will eat, None of the ones I always got before. None. There aren't many FF at all...there is some kitten foods, and stuff with beef which I cannot stand and shrimpies which sadly have a bad reaction with me. There's some Friskies, very few Purina, Royal Canin, and very few other brands. Welruva had maybe a dozen cans and those brands aren't what we ever bought We always buy FF. Mom doesn't buy me FF or any other foods with veggies, cheese, broth, and all that. But that was about what they had for sale..outside of the many variety of beef types.
The dogs fare better.
I heard all the tired stories about what's up with cat food and I don't really believe sourcing food is a problem. The cattle/birds etc sheep, whatever-- didn't suddenly fly off to the moon. Now, it's no aluminum. There's plenty for other animal food and human food... Yeah. OK. I'll be looking for the Brooklyn Bridge soon to buy. Or a beach front property newly available in the Sahara. But I know it has to be something, I just wish they, the manufacturers would be open and honest.
LOOK! I got something new today! I LOVE it. And no..I am not that fat. Mom did NOT consider angle one bit when she took this, I am embarrassed. There's her camera/ glass taxi on the right. Mom, use it for me next time instead of the phone!

Haha, you found that brush in our work shop I guess?! Our kitties long have abandoned that...
But you have nothing to complain about looking 'fat', next time you just stand up and look great! Your own fault 😜
Our kitties love the Friskies and the shredded but also no beef. Just found another Kitty paté that I'd used for Barty during his Hospice period in October. We ought to get that used up (uhm, the kitties that is!) soon.
It is crazy that certain brands are not stocked up.

I don't know what is behind the recent Purina shortage but it is everywhere. Our local store got a lot in on Sunday, so maybe better days are coming.
That is a sad sight to see those shelves so empty. I wonder why there is such a shortage of cat food but not dog food.

Well that's pathetic how sparse those shelves are. That's even worse than when mom and dad go to get my prescription dry food and they have everything BUT my brand.
Yikes! We could understand the shortage if this were May 1, 2020, because everyone was stockpiling human and pet food, but now? Crazy. We sure hope you don't starve, Katie. ♥
Katie, boy do we understand the need for the right cat food. Our shelves don't look much better here and even so precious eats Purina One dry food I struggle to find it on the Shelf. So I try to always have two bags in the house and as soon as I open one I start looking for another one. But in the meantime Katie you photograph quite well.
The food thing is totally ridiculous! Totally. Mom has a terrible time finding any "metabolic diet" cat food in ANY store and Chewy and Amazon and everyone else in the universe is "sold out".....Mom resorted to getting a bunch of stuffs I HATE just so I wouldn't starve. She cheated on the "diet" thing and added liquid treat to the icky wet food and of course I fell for the trick and ate most of it. Sigh. What's a guy 'sposed to do Katie? How can I diet if there's no diet food??? Anyway, I'll just hang in there and hope things get better. That new toy/brush thingie is pretty cool. I've seen those - we supposedly can brush ourselves if we walk through the hoop - Mom says I might like one of those. We'll see if it's just TALK or if she gets me one.

There are, but there are certain things cats need that we can't get into home cooked food. But that's what they say. I see a lot of cats eating hime prepared foods who seem quite well. I don't have time unless forced into it. And that may happen.
Katie Isabella...I happened to look at our store when I shopped on Thursday. There was plenty of canned food. Now that being said I did not check flavors/varities. That is a biggie 'cause Angel Madi had 3 flavors she would 100% eat and there were some she was kinda ok with but never ever anything except Pate no slices or dices for her.

Everything your Mom says is true, Katie Isabella. There's a crapload of the FF flavors our cats won't eat - and none of the kinds our cats will. I started ordering online from Chewy and Amazon - though that comes with its own issues (buying a 24 pack is the quickest way to ensure a cat stops eating a flavor). Chewy has a great feature where if they are out-of-stock, you can input your e-mail and you'll actually get an e-mail when it's back in stock (several other places - like Walmart - claim to do this - but we never get an e-mail). But then again, you can't order by the single can. Bear won't eat any of the fancy stuff (Weruva for one). Bear says your "feline fine" is on full display in that picture of you, Katie Isabella.
Yikes Katie, I hope your favorite foods are back in stock soon!
We've had the same problem finding food. We hope this gets resolved soon. Strange how there is so much dog food.

It is the same up here in Canada too! Mom tried 2 different cities on her 4 trips out of town this week and she DID manage to get some Extra Gravy and One box of FF with Cheese. Hopefully we have enough for a couple of weeks. We hope something happens soon.
What's going on with Fancy Feast? For a while there wasn't much around here, either, but it's been much better. Our friends in MI are having a hard time, too.
What's with Fancy Feast? I haven't noticed a diminution of supply here, but I've heard it from other cats and humans. I have heard that Fancy Feast is eliminating a number of flavours, which I can understand, however regrettable it may be, but that shouldn't mean less of whatever is still available.

We are being told not to do panic buying. But people do go and crowd the shops. I haven't been to the shops yet since we went into this fourteen day restricted movement. I wish we had online shopping though.

Since I have not been feeling good I have been really picky and NONE of the flavors I like are available. Lucky I found a few new ones. Yeah what is up we do not believe in a second that it is sourcing. We cats are just shoved to the bottom. *Sigh* Love your new brushie!
TBT hunts foods fer us at the Wall Mart sometimes but mostly has other hunters at Amazon and Chewy send stuff. Which means a bigger selection and we like THAT.
Favorite foods are good, but so is variety. We mean, sure we love fishie stuff, but turkey an chicken an cows are good too. We have even had duck an evil deer and 'roos.
I heard it was due to lack of the delivery peeps. But if so, why then all over the place is there shortages.
Sometimes the dog foods are rather scarce, but not like the kittie's noms. We used to get Pipo's food at Chewy's...but then we had a ton left over way back in November...I donated it to a local kitty shelter:)
They need to eat too!! Boy were the volunteers there happy, you'd think they were given gold!

Hi Katie you big white pal here Rumpy Bump. Dad is having problems finding FF that Timmy will eat too and says some shelves are empty. We just got a case of Liver and Chicken. Nice since he will have a can and then part of a second which I get to finish at bedtime.
I would be happy to help work on your tunnel if it wont bring me there and put my tail in Timbuctoo. Oh, right, no worries there, maybe I am the right cat to do the job. Truth is I would like to cuddle too!
