In this photo I feel sure he was questioning his pawrents about those two meowy babies that were coming into the household after he had ruled supreme all by himself. That is a loook of disbelief and "why???" if I ever saw one.
No one in the traps today and mommy put the hummingbird nectar back out early this morning. She hates bringing it in at night as the hummers like to visit even when it's dark. Mom and I have seen that. But better to do so despite the hummers bulking up to go home, than draw unwelcome visitors to the deck.
Speaking of the deck, here is the view the critters get and how far they must climb. The trees are Fall pictures and the side with the privacy fence is the low side..the other picture shows the high side. My home is built on a decline. (or incline however you wish to see it. We live in hills and mountains).

I love the colors of the trees in your backyard !!! The ones in mine are all green. Pretty but I like yours better.
Cute dog. I'll have to go check them out.
Enjoy your weekend.

What a sweet Kiwi doggie face.
You deck IS high. That raccoon must have been determined. Maybe Mom can wait as late as possible to bring in the nectar - when our humans had a raccoon visiting our deck, it was in the real middle of the real middle of the night. It used to cause the motion detector light to go on, that's how Mom knew. It was stretching out from the deck to reach the bird feeder. So they chose a farther away spot to hang the feeder and that solved that. They never seem to have had a problem with their hummer nectar and raccoons, thank goodness, but theirs goes in test tube style feeders that fit into a hanging thing, no too appealing for a raccoon.
You have a terrific backyard Katie and I too can understand the attraction! I'm gonna go visit your pal!
Goodness your deck is high! That raccoon must have been mighty hungry to get up there.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Your deck is very high Katie. Those critters were very determined! xx
WHat a beautiful place you live in, Katie! We too have experience with these critters. Once we found one had gotten into deer corn in the bed of our truck! They can climb anything. Good luck! We'll pop over to visit the Ambassador. Happy Friday, sweet furriends.
pretty doggy. pretty trees too! i miss the fall colors.
incline vs. decline, is that like glass half full vs. half empty?!
What a handsome boy! We'll go over and visit.
Purrs,

Sir Ambassador Schonheit has been visiting Ms. Stella and we have them on our blog roll now too. He's lovely poochie and so very thoughtful.
You have pawsome bird tv!

What a lovely picture! And what a lovely home you have, Katie! A beautiful home for a beautiful ladycat :-)
Any friend of yours is a friend of mine so we'll be off to visit our Kiwi friends. :)
Mommy just can't get enough of how beautiful your surroundings are.
Dear Katie,
Thanks for the comments, we feel better now.
It took me a long time to get over the time I was scared of either a racoon or possum, so I understand. Maybe in time, you will understand.
That is a cute woofie! Your yard is very pretty and we sure hope the critters have decided to move on for good.
Those two tree photos are very beautiful, so serene and what a lovely view!!! Katie, I think your avatar looks a lot like mine of Annabelle!
Ambassador Schonheit is too cute and so handsome too!! And he is a true diplomat getting on with his feline siblings!! Yay!!!
Me and Charlie think you live in a very pretty area lovely Katie Isabella!! You have a most beautiful view!!! Take care

That is such a cute woofie and we love woofies too so we sure will go visit.
That is a really high deck. Does the orange cat have to go up there to bother Katie?? Those raccoons must be really hungry.
HOpe all of you have a terrific week end. Take care.
We love your yard! Your mommy might be able to leave the feeder out until her bedtime. We hope no more critters show up in the cages. We will go visit the handsome German Shepherd :)
Ambassador Schönheit is indeed a handsome woofie. Where you live reminds me of the state park in WV where we sometimes stay. Here is a page about the climbing abilities of raccoons:

That raccoon must be very curious to come all the way up on your deck, Katie! We will go and meet your friend now, okay?
Hugs to you and the Mom!
Oh those nasty racoons - they can be a pain in the neck M says. Your doggie friend is very very handsome and we'll go over and say howdy! Your mom's pictures are great - they always are.
Oh geeeesh - M did it again. We read two of your posts back to back - then she got confizzled when replying. We loved learning more about your mom too Katie. Things we didn't know before. That is a really high deck. Those critters have to work hard to climb it - at least you make them work for their dinner.
Our hummers are lucky. The feeders here hang from the roof and critters cant get at them.
That doggie has an adorable face!
Wow, I can't believe those critters climb all the way up there on your deck! I hope it's a good thing that nothing got in the trap, as in their was no one left to get in it!
Leo nearly fainted when you said he could kiss your half 'stach! He's going to work up his courage, but in the meantime he's giving you a shy buddy bump.
Katie
You have a spectacular view and now we know why you enjoy looking out so much. What a cute woofie!!!

Ah, I have long loved your beautiful yard--as you know, I always take a little stroll through it when I visit. It is glorious--no wonder those, uh, woodland creatures are drawn there.
Dieschonheit has visited me a few times now, and although I am constitutionally 'spishus of the woofies, he does seem pretty nice. And of course there are the KITTIES!
XOXOXO my darling!
Ambassador Schonheit looks like a pretty nice doggie. I will go and visit with him. Your woods by your house really is beautiful. I have two decks on my house but they are closer to the ground than yours is.
You live in a beautiful place, Katie!! So much colour already!! Will go say hi to Ambassador Schonheit. He looks a decent bloke … for a dog!!!!! xox
Maxwell: Nice to meet the Ambassador! *sneeze!*
FaRAdaY: dieschonheit!
