No, Mom.

Kitties, today is the day mom is supposed to take me in at 1100 to get my claws trimmed. She hopes.  For unexplained reasons, I took up with lying partly  UTB again.  I'm not afraid.  I just want to be there, just as I did when I came home from my dental May 10.  Then it was hiding  Now it's just because.  So she has several plans to get me out so she can put me in the PTU.

She'll play music here in my room on the computer and that usually gets my attention.  If that doesn't work, she'll u-tube it for some cat meows.  That oughtta do it.  If not, she'll have to cancel my appointment and it's been two months.  It's tough getting an appointment.

Guess she'd better finally get dressed.  She washed her face and that was it.  IT's good she said, to sit around as that's something she usually doesn't get to do.

Me...I love my puzzle box!

Fanks yoo Kitties and Woofies

It's all over, even the shouting and meowing, and youngest favorite brother is doing very well!  Your purrs, woofs and prayers made a difference.  Mom and I thank you for love and hope.  Mom said she slept like a rock layin' in the field last night.

Look at ME though.

I'm on HER side, too!
This was me when she finally got home yesterday and started a bit of housework.  She changed the sheets which is always fun for me.  She shut the bedroom door while she did that as she just didn't want the process to take an hour.  Well, Missy...guess I showed you!

When she finished spreading the sheets, she opened the door.  I was waiting!  And I got straight onto the bed about 3 pm and never moved till after 6:45.  So, no bedspread! HA HA Mom!!

She cabled Leopard who was vacating in Africa with his extended family, to come home.  Made me mad.  I had become worried with the fire boomers 4 July and wrapped myself around mom's head three nights in a row.  Leopard arrived home with all his souvenirs the next night!

That thing in front of Leopard (and me) is her wrist brace she wears to beddy at night because she has Carpal Tunnel syndrome.  I bite it when I feel like it.

I Wish I May....

I wish I might...have the brovver who came to see me here tonight.  I'm warming the beddy.  He will be, but after tomorrow- he will leave me again! (other usual favorite brovver will return back here though).

2PM today

Here I am kitties and woofies.  He's out and about (brovver)  seeing friends today and this will be his next to last night here.  Mom's been feeding him well wishing he could stay (he's a Teacher, but teaching summer school; so he will leave Friday morning).

We are all together to wish youngest brovver well in his surgery tomorrow.  He's always been totally well, but something crept up and got him.  It will all be alright however as soon as it's over.  Thought, love, prayers and purrs and woofs would be so welcome in the morning at 9,  and tonight before he goes on in.  XXX

Thank you furriends and parents.

Kids

Mom told me a true bedtime story. She was speaking about how fortunate we kitties are who are in a home and  are loved by our human parents.  And sometimes, by their human children we live with as well.

Robin was such a girl in our household.  Her three human brothers picked her out of a litter across the street when she was 6 weeks old.  They named her Robin.  She was a Tortie, but mom here was ignorant about differing cat's furs and their meaning.  Ginger cats were called Peanut Butter cats by my human brothers, and Mom for example,  and just Striped Cats for the tabbies and so on.  They had never seen a Tortie nor had Mom.  And Robin was, we thought, mostly all black. But she had an orange chin and an orange paw.  She had, as she got a few weeks older,  faint orange mottling in her furs. Signaling some Tortie but we didn't know

She was completely used to being picked up, loved, taken to bed, to sleep with them and as she was the very last of indoor/outdoor cats, she was let in and out... and the brothers supervised her usually when she was out during the day, whenever she asked and that was alllll the time. King of run-on sentences, mom!

She brought many many meals in for us, and that very proudly.  We always praised her.  It got exceedingly difficult when they were still alive- meaning rats and mice.  Sometimes we had to live with them a while before we could capture and turn back out.  Sometimes they expired in the overstuffed everything closet.   There was a proud and continual assortment of snakes, rats, mice, chipmunks,  rabbits and squirrels and assorted other creatures.

She used to knock with her left paw on the deck's window to come in at night; and we foolishly never learned,  just opened the door not seeing her but hearing her, to let her in.  That was when supper was brought in and served most frequently.  We finally learned to keep a flashlight by the door to look at her. mouth.  We'd try to slip out TO her rather than she come in with her gift.

About 5 in the morning she would want out to use the bathroom as she refused the litter box though it was there through the years. Usually the middle boy got up and marched her to the deck, opened the door and let her out.  They also dug many a trench through deep snow  for her so she could go to her favorite place in the yard.

But my part of the story she tells to me was how Robin would always lie asleep in someone's lap when the boys were in the living room.  If something needed doing, the phrase; when they were commanded to do this or that always was stated---"Can't. Cat." I'd look and there would be a tiny 6 pound cat asleep in their laps.  So I did it myself whatever it was.  They could if THEY needed to get up, pick her rounded circle tiny body up and place her on another boy's lap...she never opened her eyes or missed a beat.

She went to the right cabinets and pawed open the door for her paper plates and went to the right cabinet for her Fancy Feast too, and would paw out a can IF she could reach it. True.  Smart as can be.

The last thing mom told me was when she developed KD and the vet gave samples of the dry KD food, while mom was slaving away at work one night, she came home and found Robin had found the packet, and truly and really, put it in the litterbox.   The was from a table to her box though she never really used it except in dire straits.  Robin was deeply loved, and still is to this day.  Those were HER boys.  I counted for nothing to her.  She raised them.  She is gleaming with her furs perfectly bathed by her.

Robin was 14 here and we didn't know how to work the camera.

My Goodness...Oh Dear

Kitties, Mommy and I have no idea how to do the "follow me" thingy so if you like us, we hope you'll keep us in your "bookmarks" now that Feedburner is no more.   If it drops off too much we will just rest the blog and let it be.  She said the same for her own blog.

Mom's not one for using Face Book as a blog place, sorta kinda.  When so many quit blogging several years ago and went to Face Book as an option, many of us knew no human names and couldn't friend them.  Then, I think Face Book is unfriendly to the idea of blogs in their space.  I might be wrong.

Meanwhile, me and my little one  love seeing you all and hope we will continue.  If not, we'll do as we mentioned earlier up there in the first lines.

Mom said she still has the Yellow Jackets out there in their burrow.  People tell her what to do ,but she is a yeller bellied chicken clucking away at the idea of doing it herself.  The pest control man doesn't like coming out to a customer's home at 11 at night...so...he offered instructions -which mom won't follow.  Have to do something here before long or my yard won't get mowed.  Brovver from over the mountains will be here July 5-8 for youngest brovver's surgery.  (Oldest brovver is doing alright for now).  My brovvers are having a time of it lately.  Middle brovver who will be here early next week, said he would help mom and me.  He loves us and we're glad. The other two brovvers are temporarily unavailable.

I am dictating from the corner on my comfy newly washed soft soft red blankie Admiral's MIL made for Admiral once upon a time.

I was going to ask Spidey to assist us with the Yellow Jackets~ but he is, well, um...well, sorta indisposed.

Which Way

Kitties!  Which way did they go!?

I had all kinds of brovvers in here to keep safe in the night.  They're gone!
