Kitties!!! Brovver went back home this morning He lives in Charlotte NC. We enjoyed every moment. Now it was hotter than you-know-where from early Saturday afternoon last week till midday almost Tuesday this week. We really suffered some heat here in the house. It got up to 86 and very humid in the house. I didn't sleep with mom as the big box fan which hardly did any good was too loud and Brovver had one on his room too...same thing, They hauled them into the living room when they each got up and I still had to deal with all that noise!! I was hot too. Those three days and nights were awful. BUT because there was no reason to do a lot of things besides installing the new one...it all got done so quickly!!! About 2 hours. Took up old one- put in new.
WHEW! Now Mom is cleaning house. Guess I should let her up from the computer. She has work to do. Next is swabbing out the entire bathroom, and then, vacuuming, and swabbing out the KITCHEN too.
If you want to help, come on over and get her started in the kitchen by sweeping before she mops.

Katie, good thing the new AC is running, 'cause yer mommy is gonna work a dampness on her person with all that cleaning. Brovver could not have made that much mess, mol. We had the hotz too but today it cooled off. Lynn took a bike ride today 'cause of it. We girls are home alone until Sunday night. Luv the cartoon.

Oh, tell her that the little back space will get trampled when the fence is replaced. Hostas are so hardy that I hope they'll come back just fine next year. 🤞 The rest of the garden, though, well, I don't know how it will fare. Probably most of the perennials, planted last year or this one, will be destroyed, unless I dig them out and put them into pots temporarily. Which I might do, I'll see.
I'm grateful it's reasonably cool here. I chuckled about your mum getting up from the computer because as I read it, I have Presto the kitten on my lap - and have for half an hour: he crashed after 90 minutes of playing with his siblings.

Henry dislikes the fan noise too, but he seems to enjoy snuggling with his people enough to do that until they fall asleep, then off he goes to get as far away as he can.

We are delighted the HVAC swap was an easy one, and you have cool air again. It has been dreadfully hot here. Our mom absolutely hates it. Mom said that if we weren't such slobs (Dad included), she might be willing to visit and help with the cleaning. We don't believe that for even a second. MOL! So happy you have a good visit with your brovver AND that you have a new AC unit - it's not fun being hot and icky all the time! Mom and Dad got all the housecleaning STUFFS done yesterday so today should be quiet (SHOULD BE and WILL BE are two entirely different things around here!).

Hey there, kinda sorta neighbor! I feel you on the heat & humidity thingy. We're on the second floor over here in Black Mountain, and mom loves warmth and dad hates the heat so it's always a battle of sorts (though mom does have the a/c on for when dad gets home from work). Sorry your brother is gone, and about the heat. We have a couple of those bladeless fans. NOt the really expensive ones from Dxyxxx but the equivalents from Lidl which are a quarter of the price. They are quiet and work really well.

Mummy neffur got round to fixing our A/C - but We do have one of those portable desert cooler-type towers, and Mummy thinks that it works better than the A/C effur did!
We can't imagine why anyone would be so enthusiastic about doing the cleaning (mol) - especially in hot weather!
