Kitties! Mom has really been going through it with me these past three weeks. I keep asking to eat, I lay by my dish, Mom has bought and served everything made, and I refuse all of it. I am hungry and won't eat but a mouthful, wet or dry.
Until the other day, Mom bought a 5 oz. Friskies. Chunky Chicken with a LOT of extra gravy. She put it down expecting the usual, but I fell to it. I scarfed it up and licked the bowl clean! Mom waited 20-30 minutes and put another spoonful down. I heard that and hurried in and ate it down quickly. Mom was afraid of regurgitation. In an hour, Mom put in another heaping teaspoonful. I hurried over and ate it to the ceramic. One last blast at 2100 and I ate that too!
This morning, she knew it was no use as it hadn't been in close to a month, but she served some from the Friskies can. I ATE it to the ceramic of the bowl. Mom gave me another serving knowing for sure this time I wouldn't eat it...licked the bowl clean and no horking! She took Micah to his hospital to have his fender fixed and when she got delivered home (Micah has to stay overnight) she fed me again. Again, clean bowl. She's waiting to give me supper at the usual time.
Mom here: At least I know now she's not hurting, teeth OK. She just hated everything I opened and wasted can upon can of food---- all her old faves and new ones too, and I had to throw it all away. Additions, no additions, warmed, cold, The answer was no. However long this lasts at least she'll get nourishment for now. Biggafy the cartoon. Even the parrot is muscular!

That is good to hear your mom has found something you like, Katie. Keep eating!
Katie, is it too much to hope that you'll keep eating it? 😄
I certainly hope you do, it's a HUGE stress to we humans, trying to find something our kitties will eat, especially as they get older. ❤️
Dearest Katie Isabella,
WOW that is great news and a wonderful tip for trying out with our 3 senior kitties.
Spooky horked up his food this morning... It is getting so hard to find something good for them that they like and what stays in their tummy.
Hugs,
Mariette
I am glad your mom found something you like. I have this trouble with Joanie, but nothing goes to waste here with so many mouths. XO
Yes, that's very frustrating but what a joy when you find something, anything, that gets gobbled up!
You guys like to drive us up the wall with your eating antics! (Can your mom put the unwanted food out for the wildlife instead of tossing it? At least then it can make somebody's tummy happy.)
We are so glad you are eating Katie I ! We know how anxious we get when a kitty is "off their feed." Purrs.
Cats can be the most infuriating of animals... It's the worst feeling for humans when their cats don't eat.
Glad you’re eating your food, Katie!
We have a winner, let's hope it keeps winning!
Thank goodness Mom found something yummy to you, Katie. Keep up the good eating, okay?
The whole family in the cartoon is definitely taking advantage of that gym membership. MOL!
we can make our parents awfully happy just by eatingl.
Hallelujah! I bet your Mom thought along those lines when you decided to finally eat!
Keep up the good work, Katie!
That cartoon made me LOL!!
Such good news Katie, to find something yummy that you really enjoy! Keep on chowing down!
Dear Katie if we could only read our kitty cat's minds and know what their taste buds want. And here I thought my anorexic angel Seney was difficult to please. Sure hope you like that same food again today and tomorrow. And we laughed about the cartoon. Bigify the people and bigify the pets, lol.
That is so soul-destroying as a cat owner. At least I have the advantage of owning a dog so can mix leftovers with his food. Glad Miss FussyPants has found something she likes!
Hugs,

Happy Day! I'm glad you found the right thing to spark your appetite Katie!
Carole I know exactly what you went thru with Katie Isabella...OMCs
I can recall many times where there was more Fancy Fest 1/2 eaten cans in the fridge than human food. I told Madi there are staving kitties all over the world who would love the food she refused. I declare the look she gave me said: "feel free to send it to them". I don't like it.
Then in a few weeks all that I had thrown away was all of a sudden her food of choice....Made me crazy...
I send you
Hugs and many thanks from your unappreciative K.I. for all your efforts on her behalf.
Cecilia
Oh Katie you not eating would have been a worry for yor mum, I am glad you managed to eat something
Cats will be cats. We are divas and should be treated as such. Purrs, Snoops and Sgt Stripes
Don't scare us by not eating, my dear; and take care of your mom. :D
