Kitties! Mom did it again. This very morning. We got up at 6, and went into the kitchen where I am always served before anyone else. She got my fresh waters, laid in a small amount of morsels, and popped my can of FF. She served some of that. Then she made brovvers breakfast of four eggies, bacon, cinnamon toast and coffee. THEN- her own breakfast. Oatmeal laced with walnuts and dried cherries and a tad of sweetening.
See this picture: It shows the line up of walnuts, catnip treats are there somewhere...mom'll have to look again, and the dried cherries.
So, oatmeal ready, she reached up and grabbed just the two add-ins on the end. She opened the cherries first, added them, opened the next bag and added them and put the whole thing back. Only thing was, after she popped them in the microwave she had a clear vision in the forefront of her mind, of the appearance of the bowl's contents as she put it in the oven. You already know what's coming. She had sprinkled my Temptations catnip treats instead of walnuts. You know...this is the same woman who put cat milk in her coffee. That time she didn't know till it was too late.
Meanwhile , this morning she changed coasters on the sink counter where her coffee cup stays. Another brovver gave it to her several years ago. It's perfect for her. She is so loving to me. And I to her.
Hope mom gets more attentive and awake as they day wears on.

You are so sweet to share your treats with her dear Katie!
Katie, iz bet them TTs on her oatie things was delish. iz would eat mine dry, if'n iz
were ever to git them again. lynn sayz iz too big for TTs. precious
PS, from Lynn here, Precious had to quit the Temptations a long while back. Hate that
for her, but life with a pudgy girl can be difficult to handle. My oats every morn are
stirred in with raisins and pecans. Thinking a lot alike here.
That is pretty funny. :) XO
That was funny! I have walnuts every morning too, but I have fresh fruit and a dollop of Greek yoghurt with them.
Did she try eating it as it was, Katie?
It may not have been too bad...
MOL! That sounds like something our bean mom would do too. 'Cept she keeps our treats on the counter.
So ... how did it taste, Katie? Maybe mom is on to something good!
She may have invented something tasty there.
What a waste of your Temptations! MOL
So nice to be served first in the day, no, Katie?
How funny!
Bwahahahaha!
Has she started meowing yet?
Uhoh.....purrrrrrhaps she would have liked that better than her usual "toppings" ???? Was she not quite awake?
Hugs, Teddy
Katie Isabella,
Da Mom must have fallen on her head knocking her senseless!! Otherwise, I'm certain CAT TREATS would be so numerous, they should fall out onto the counter each time the cabinet door is opened...
I too love the coaster!!
Hugs Cecilia
Did she give you some of her newly flavored oatmeal??
I bet the trashcan will smell yummy, though.
That is a wonderful coaster!
Ahahaha funny! Maybe the two of you could have shared the bowl . . . I can see that as an animated video sequence . . .
So how did they taste to a human?
Dearest Katie Isabella,
Haha, that was hilarious and you had me laugh out loud. Needed that!
Hugs,
Mariette
Dad has those days sometimes where he is on automatic until... the auto kind of gets dram-atic MOL
I often go thru life on autopilot
.GAH! That is a BAD mistake and an awful way to start the day, KI. Your mama made it through all the complicated stuff, and then blew it on the simplest one. Ugh! She needs to switch her nuts and cherries into Ziplock bags so she can see them better in the morning haze.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
OMC that is sooo funny but what a waste of good Temptations!

I hear you on food service issues Katie. I'm glad that after a few cans of unapproved stuff your Mom was able to find something suitable for you to munch. The only thing I eat these days is Royal Canin "loaf" which is quite tasty but pricey. Supposedly a weight maintenance food. Weight Maintenance Food = not as tasty as my old food. Sigh. A guy has to do what a guy has to do I guess.
Hugs, Teddy
