Better Day

Fanks you efurrybuddy for encouraging me and poor Mom  who acts like I'm on my last legs or something if I don't eat.

I laid on her face a good part of the night, and had my arms around her head.  She said she could stand a good nights rest. I did MY part toward the cause.

I got up...took a bunch of good morning smoochies, gave plenty of headbonks which have been missing for two days.  No Donkey, Mousie or anyone for three nights now... I was anxious for breakfast and woke her to get it.  I ate it all.  She only feeds me a teaspoon at a time till my  tummy says it won't give it back.  I had an entire half a can of marinated FF chicken.  Still in my tummy!  I am napping and snoring in my thick beddie. here at 1130 as I dictate. Even sleeping.  I am clever.

Here I was yesterday morning all pitiful, stretching my poor cold paws out to the heaty blowy thing trying to warm them.  She keeps it 69 in here usually and acts like there's a heat wave when I ask (and I do) for at least 70.  A few minutes before she ran for the phone, I had both paws ON the grille.

I am glad you are feeling better. You need a heated throw like my kitties have. We keep the heat at 67 degrees, but they are all warm. XO

Dearest Katie Isabella,
Glad you can eat again and yes, you need to warm up!
I used to set the thermostat like your Mom but living with a 90-year old who gets COLD as a side affect of his meds, it is different and the kitties LOVE it.
Looks like the vent is being 'sealed' off/closed by many years of painting it. Hope it still 'gives' some heat for you girl!
Hugs,
Mariette

Yay for you feeling better Katie!!
We are heat seekers too. Lucky for us the vents are on the floor ;)
Unlucky for us, mum turns the heat down when she goes out!

Katie Isabella thank goodness for today day dawning with your getting your groove about 95% back. Mom's job is to worry...yours is to get better.
Sending warm hugs...it is 69 in our house too.

Sweet, beautiful Katie. We are sorry you have been feeling a bit "off-colour", but furry happy you are now feeling better. What you need is a nice, bracing Magic Carpet ride to the Enchanted Forest. Just say the word and We'll come and collect you. It has got a bit colder here at night, but there's still plenty of sunshine during the day - and no sign of rain, as yet.
Purrs and kitty kisses from Trixie, Caspurr and Shimshi.

I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better, Katie! We worry about our pals when they aren't well.

Katie I'm glad that YOU think you're alright - now if we can get your Mom on board with that concept all will be well! Our Moms get worried when we change up our routine. I change mine up regularly so Mom stays on her toes.

Hugs, Teddy

Leo says: Katie! You weren't eating either? I'm heartbroken that mom didnt see that sooner! I'm glad you're getting back to yourself though, and hope your toys start making their excursions at night again. My mom blames my weight loss on being sick; who wants to eat when they dont feel good? I wonder if you had a delayed reaction to that sleepy meds you had to take to go to the v.e.t? I think we need to get together and have dinner and lots of treats! Lots of them! Tonight? By the way, you with your paw on the heaty thingie? Goin' in the mancat cave.. ;)

Katie, it's got to go into the front end, so it can come out the back! A loaded litterbox makes humans happy...weird, I know!

We're so glad you're doing much better, Katie! What's up with moms, though? Ours keeps the house at about 68° and tells us we have coats on so we shouldn't complain!

I'm behind a bit; sorry about that, Katie. But it does allow me to read both the worrisome entry and the better one that followed. I know well the concern over not eating, or throwing up - anything out the ordinary with our cats. The fact that you wanted to eat, and that what you ate stayed down is good news indeed.

So glad you're feeling better and staying warm, KI. Mom keeps our house 77 all year round. She's always freezing. I'm not complaining. I'm always freezing, too!

Love and licks,
Cupcake

I know what your Mom is feeling. Bear's struggling too. I haven't talked about it on the blog yet - but it's got me super depressed (thus my lack of desire to get posts up as reliably as I used to). Just when I think things are better ... we go back. I need to make changes and get the cats off kibble and that seems a bit overwhelming at the moment.

We hope you are back to your magnificent self and give your Mom a run for her money as you're so good at!
