The Dreaded Van

Kitties!  Someone asked me about the Vet and I wanted to tell you that it didn't catnap me and that I made it back into the house OK.  With shorter nails I might add.

Someone else thought I went out in mom's or the nail clipper's arms.  No..I was in my PTU all zippered in safely for the trips to and back again to the house.

Not sure why the person insists on not coming into the house.  Mom asked twice and both times was told a resounding no.

Mom only does this to keep me from having to be hauled out every month for claw cuts.  The cost is the same with the groomer person as it is at the v-e-t.

Must be Spring.  Mom bought a camellia yesterday and it's waiting on the lawn man to dig the hole as mom can't get the shovel into the rock hard dirt.  Red clay.  This morning after hauling herself around for her walkie in the freezing temps,  (now it's low 50's) she went to Wally World and got another lopper.  Someone she doesn't remember who, had to have borrowed the one she had all these years, and failed to return it.  Returning home, she lopped off the lichen ridden azalea branches while I snoopervised from the window.  Can't prune azaleas today, as this is the time they start setting buds and so on.  Late Spring she can prune them back (give them a haircut).

I'm dictating through thought processes as I am snoring and can't be bothered meowing to mom.  But here I was before that.  The sun  beam is showing my underwear...cinnamon colored.

Katie ...OMCs girlfriend you cracked me up with cinnamon underwear!
I'm glad you and the clipper person parted on friendly terms in spite of he/she being kinda grabby.

I wonder what's with the resounding no as a response to being asked in. Well, it sure is nice you don't have to go for a drive to the vet and it's the same price! I like that you're able to dictate via thoughts and not have to wake up from a nice nap.

Katie, they must be afraid that they won't make it back outside, or something weird like that!?!
LOL!

Would you believe that our mom cuts our nails? I mean, that's just rude! How are kitties supposed to scratch the furniture if our nails are cut? You should hork up a bit one tonight just to get back at your mom. Lexy does all the time.

Didn't make sense to me.

We're sure glad to hear the nail clipping went well, Katie. We wonder why that person doesn't want to come in the house? Probably scared of your fierce self! :)

Sorry you had to be taken to the van but at least you didn’t have to go on a car ride, which is good :-) With cinnamon coloring, you look a bit like calico kitty :-)
Happy Sunday, Katie san xoxo

My human is lucky that Boodie and I are easy for claw trims, and that she can handle most of Binga's.

Katie! All clipped up and ready to rock huh? What's this about showing your undies? Ladies don't do that you know! At least that's what my Mom tells me.

Sweet Katie we are sorry you had to go to the van to get your nails clipped...we wished we had a van to come to our place so we did not have to drive to the vet to get nails clipped. We think your cinnamon underwear is quite pretty. Chancy would love to come help you with your yard work. :) Hugs and nose kisses

Maybe there is an insurance problem if the nail trimmer comes into the house.

Thank goodness you made it to the nail stealer and back safe and sound, KI. Mom files my nails every 10 days or so. She thinks she's smart, but I still manage to scratch the floors when I lose my mind and start running, sliding, and jumping. She worries I will scratch a kid or a veteran when we go to work. Why would I do such a thing? Nails are meant to wreck the house. Anybody knows that!

Love and licks,
Cupcake

That’s a bit odd that the claw-trimming person won’t come into the house. Perhaps it’s a safety measure, and she figures if she says ‘yes’ to someone who is obviously no danger, such as your mum, she may have to go into houses that are a little less homey-looking. In any case, I’m glad your mum took you out in a carrier. I dread one of my cats getting loose and me never being able to catch him or her; it only takes a second.

We are glad you came out safely, Katie!
Our Mom clips our nails, and with three of us now, it can be an ongoing process. We always hide one sharp dagger from her...
