Help on the Way

Kitties!  My Israeli fellow Cattourney's  are taking my case into consideration.  I shall await their learned reply.  They did advise me to recuse myself from the case because of conflict of interest.  I have duly done so.

I did want to rush to say that Sticky One didn't grab anything IN the litterbox.  (thank goodness)  Just ran his fingers through the litter.  He's a rambunctious little thing!  Any of your mom's reading this should know he was washed thoroughly each time.  Maybe next time we'll get a harness and leash for him for pete sake!

Oh.  Mom finally brought back a flavor of food I said a firm NO to five years ago.  She happened to have accidentally bought a can last week of that very flavor.  Running very low, she cracked it open for me and I licked the bowl to a SHINE!  And when she simply said "supper" to the empty air as I was in the back bedroom, I came out at a trot, tail straight up, and stationed myself purring at the dish.  I waited as she dished it out and I ate every morsel and cleaned the dish thoroughly.  This has never happened with any of my foods!  Not till I got that previously shunned one.

Me...awaiting my consultation. I am VERY serious as you can see.

You look so professional and ultra serious, very trustworthy. And we luff that food story, a classic example of how to be a cat.

There are few things that make me smile like a cat with a healthy appetite, Katie. May that continue for you.

Katie, that’s what us cats do...keep the humans guessing. Now when your mom goes out and buys a whole case of that food thinking you’re gonna eat it...don’t :)

Maybe that food was like a fine wine, Katie. Only good in certain years?

Sounds like your cattornies know their stuffs!

Putting a harness and leash on the little human does not sound like a bad idea, says my human! But then, she has never had any kids and that is probably the only way she could deal with them, MOL!

Katie I think you forgot to hate that food....sometimes we forget we're supposed to ignore things and gobble them down anyway. These things happen. Harnesses for stickies? Definitely!

What you need to do Katie is now, when mommy buys in a whole crate of the stinky goodness, is ignore it totally and walk off with your delicate nose in the air!! I do that and it makes her mad!! ;-)

Katie, you have just demonstrated one of our finest food talents! (We have cans and cans of arbitrarily rejected food stocked in the pantry, to the point where Mom has considered donating them.) And about the Sticky One--we didn't think he touched anything but he did leave his cooties. You have to remember that!

YOU are RIGHT! The Sticky Person Cooties!!!!! Of COURSE!

LOL that's too funny about the food you once rejected! I think, though, if your mom buys a box of cans of that food, you may decide to reject it again. That's the cat thing hahaha :-)

Sometimes you just have to let mom know what foods for don't like. She can forget sometimes. Hope you are having a great Thankful Thursday. Have a wonderful rest of your week.

Tastes can change, KI. And then change again. And then change back again. And then change back the other way again. I used to eat fruit a lot. Now I chew it and spit it on the rug (like a pig, apparently). Turns out fruit is not chicken or cheese. Case closed.

Love and licks,

Dearest Katie Isabella,
So glad you recused yourself from that case!
And what a surprise that you liked all the new foods this time around.
Well, I'm policing our kitties at breakfast and dinner time as there is one, the benjamin, she is such a fat girl. She was stealing from the others... Now that will not happen again. Tiny Tiggy Tiger always finishes her bowl a couple of hours later, she eats the remainder and is very happy.
Want to see if Speckie, the fat girl will lose weight in a month time...
Hugs to ya'll,
Mariette

Yes, Katie, you're very serious and very, very beautiful. We do the same with previously shunned food. It keep the lady on her toes.

I'm glad you have a cattourney to take on the case of The Sticky One.

Taste changes over the years Katie, and now you love the food you once disliked....until your mom buys a crateful.

There was a brand of food that none of us would eat when we were younger. But when TBT bought some of it recently, we all ate it right up!

Why do all the cats try to confuse their humans about what they like in food. It’s really not a big mystery. Perhaps on that particular day they did not want that flavor. That’s truly understandable as humans might crave fish one day and chicken the next. So please stop blaming the kitties and figure out a way to communicate the different flavor choices they have for today(or the next couple of days out of 1 can if they are an only cat).

Maybe canned food could come with scratch and sniff labels so kitty truly has a choice of what they will eat for the next couple of days (when there is only one cat).

The food companies need to learn how to communicate with our feline overlords and let them smell before we open the can! My mommy likes leftovers but only if it’s a food she wanted to eat. She’s not going to eat leftovers that she didn’t crave yesterday. She says Spaghetti is a great leftover as it picks up more flavors after a day. But alas, us kitties don’t usually get yummy things like spaghetti. (Maybe because of the garlic and onions). But it surely smells good!
