Gave Her a Break
Kitties, I let mommy sleep without me pressing down on her head and neck. I volunteered to sleep right next to her face where she can feel my furs and warmth but not my 14 pounds of fabulous Katieness. She did much better. She said she has a little tiny bit of muscle strain from that collision. Her neck and shoulders and a bit of her back are just a bit hurting. Nothing to make an issue about she said, but now I know I was hurting her by pressing her head down with my full weight and pushed her neck over and a touch out of alignment these last days, so I moved over a bit. You know of course she would never in elebenty million years ever make me sleep outside. I was kidding that day. She would have heart attack if I had one soft paw outside that door.

We didn't understand that your mom was *in* her car when that other one backed into it--we thought it happened in a parking lot or something. Eeek! We hope she feels all better soon--you're a good girl to attend to her.

I like sleeping next to Mommy's head. She likes the warmth next to her face. Only, shhhhhhhh! When she finally falls asleep I go to my little pillow (that's the tan colored pillow you see on some of my pictures) which is on my dresser at the bottom of the lovely big bed. I can kinda watch over her that way. Aren't we good to our Mommies?
I like sleepin by my momma's feets.

I hope your mom's pains are soon better. It was good of you to not make her feel more sore when you slept. Eric used to sleep on my head and I would wake up with a stiff neck. Flynn slept on my tummy and I would wake up with a stiff back. I would put up with all that stiffness though just to have them back with us.
I know what you mean. I think of my babies who are gone from me now. They can do as they wish.

Strange that Barty who's usually my head-sleeping cat-boy, did go over to sleep near Pieter's head instead. Did he know what verdict would be read to his Mama on November 2nd? Pieter's heart output is ONLY 27% suddenly, very weak and following the catheterization yesterday, the verdict read to me was that there is nothing they can do at this point. No surgery, no stent and hope to help those diffused small vessels still function... That was my hardest day so far. Does not sound good and don't you agree with me that our felines pick up our emotions and pain? Barty came midnight when i very tired hit the pillow and he wrapped himself so lovingly around my head.... They give so much love, comfort and support!

Katie, you are so nice to your mommy. I lay my 13 lbs of Tortieness on my mommy and she acts like she's being squished. She's a drama queen. Daddy doesn't even notice when I walk on him. He just makes happy little grunts. Just sayin.

Every ache and every pain is worth it, KI. But still, it's a good idea to give your mom a break. When I curl up and press too hard against Mom's tummy, she calls me the word, "Move over, Chubby!" Sleep well, sweet girl.

Cinnamon is the one who likes to sleep on heads! I, Marvelous am a cuddler, but I sleep mostly by Mommy's feet as she thrashes around too much.

Mom is lucky...Misty May who sleeps on her head and face only weighs in at about 9-10 pounds. She doesn't just sleep face-face but likes to throw her body against mom's face smothering her in fur.
