It is still just as hard to not have that precious face to kiss and that dear little body to hold as it was when I returned home without her that day...one of the worst days I suffered save when Robin passed away. I recall I did not bother to wipe my eyes for the tears fell like rain from first waking moment to last. My shirts were damp.
They are precious to us. Their innocence, purity and love are like the veriest richest treasures we have been given, along with our human family. Our fur kids are family too and their love is a never ending gift. I have equally precious Katie Isabella chosen by Admiral to comfort me ever after. What love I have to hold.
Admiral, Lady Bianca, I miss you so much. I will always and forever love your memory.

Sending you a warm hug.....I certainly know the feeling and knowing that they are ALWAYS in our hearts and we ALWAYS feel them there helps a little - but not quite the same as having them in our laps, brushing their furs, and seeing their eyes look into ours with LOVE.

Five years already...Hugs and purrs to you, Carole. It will be 10 for Chumley in January and six for Annie in February. McGuffy Ann is right, they never live long enough and we don't ever "get over" the loss. We just become accustomed to the absence.

Sounds like you have big shoes to fill, KI. Mom's old dog, Smoki also sent me to her to help her sadness when she left for the bridge. Smoki lives in my belly now, so Mom can still kiss her while she is kissing me.

We loved Admiral a lot. She was a wonderful LadyCat who was well- loved for all her life. We think each kitty has something to teach his or her Human about how to love and care for us, and so when the next one comes along, the Human is even better at being a loving companion and that's the legacy one kitty leaves for the Ones Who Come After. We think Admiral did a pretty great job with your Mommy and you are teaching her even more in your turn, too. XOXOXOXO

My dear Lady...M knows you were inconsolable. The Admiral touched our lives is ways that will always be remembered. My boy Nik fell for her right away. We were all happy when she finally said, "Yes." Now they are together forever. ♥
