Oh my goodness...mom and I had visitors today and what a joy it was for her and also for me. I got to admire and flirt with her husband (I LURVE menfolk) and since I naturally gravitate to men because of all my brovvers...I have become a regular tart when one comes in. Even the carpet cleaner!
Momma said these are two very dear friends. And we BOTH loved every minute of the visit and hated for it to end. It was almost like having family as we, the friends and mom and me are of the same mind in many things.
Mamma brewed real tea for them. Turned out slightly cool when they got to it, but...it was wet! Right? Mom made sugar cookies, but they eat better than that. She also found some Dutch cookies as well. So she gave them a choice. Pieter had a sugar cookie and both had a little of the Dutch cookies.
They brought me, Katie, two little containers of seared salmon and their juices. Their 5 kitties (all black) love it and one mancat Dido sent it to me...

so I know when I have some tomorrow, I will too.
And they brought some Stollen. I could not stand seeing mom wait, so I urged her to try some. It was HEAVEN! Mom said she can't make it as good as this. It was German.

We just returned from the Rooftop restaurant where we had a bite; indoors that is.
