Wordy Wednesday

Kitties!  Mom got her covid shot yesterday with one reaction that was unlooked for, but it's over now.  I helped her out, so no problem.

Mom's been on a Mini Wheats binge.  I swear, she'll be sugar coated like them if she keeps this up.  She's been eating them like kibble or something.  She's been eating them for her supper.  Bet she'll get tired of them and not eat them again for two years!

I have to have an appointment soon for The Vet Visit.  Mom'll call in the morning and try to squeeze it in with everything else she has going.  I hope they let mom stay while the gabepentin is working for that several hours.  When this all started, the covid disease, they wouldn't let her in and I was beside myself.  My second visit was scheduled in August of '20,  and they gave me that horrible shot and wake up shot that about wiped me out.  This time, they said mom could be with me sitting quietly somewhere while the gabepentin takes effect then, we will be separated.  They wish mom would medicate me but she has helped me tell you in my blog here that I will N-O-T take anything into my stomach any more that has gebepentin in it, you can't fool me twice; and she can't pill me in any way.  Hence...it's nothing, or they have to do it.

I'll let you know how it all works out.

Looks like a lot of our parents got their shot either yesterday, as Mom did, or  this week sometime.  I'll be getting mine with my doctor soon.  UGH.

Well, nothing more to say so I'll get into my beddie and nap 'til it's bedtime.

XOX

Raise your arms in the air like you just don't care!

It's so frustrating that the vet visits still have the Covid restrictions that make it difficult for you, Katie. I am purring for things to go well.

We sure are glad your mom got her shot, Katie. Sorry she had a side effect, but we hope she is doing better now. We will be purring and praying that everything goes well when you go the vet, sweet girl. Hugs to you both.

Hope the vet visit goes well. Angelique is overdue, but she has had seizures at the vet before and needs her momma to be there to keep her calm. Since she's otherwise healthy, we're just waiting for the restrictions to be lifted.

Sorry your Mom had a bit of a reaction to her first shot - I'm sure you were a big help though! As for you dear Katie - I know what a tough thing it is right now to go to the vet and have to be without your Mom for support! I went last week and when they took me from the car and my Mom I cried out loud. I was a big (and I mean big) baby. But it all turned out OK other than then putting me on a diet of course. Hopefully soon we can have our Moms (or Dads) with us when going through the torture of the vet experience!

Hugs, Teddy

Pretty bad when both girls in the same family have to get shots almost back to back. Glad your mom did okay with her shot I go for my second one on March 26th. In Katy we got our Paws crossed that your doctor visit goes very smoothly. No bad reactions other than your dander is up about the visit. Precious is looking out the window into pouring down rain. But at least it's warmer up here.

Katie, it's great your mom got her first vaccine, we're glad that whatever reaction she had was short-lived.

Good luck with your appointment! Humans still can't go inside our vet clinic at all (beyond staff, of course). Derry has a check up on Friday and the biped will have to wait outside, as she's had to for a year now. She wonders if they'll ever let clients into the building again. :-/

In our opinion, your mom is already sugar coated and so are you, KI. You're both the sweetest. Good luck at the vet's house. It's unfortunate that your mom can't hide your pill in something yummy. Mom "hides" my medicine in cream cheese. I lick every bit off her fingers.

Love and licks,
Cupcake

Bummer that your Mom had a reaction. Mom gets her second tomorrow. We hope your VET visit goes well and we're sorry you have to be medicated for it.

Your mum had a medical appointment and soon it will be your turn, eh, Katie? I am glad your mum will be with you for a while. I'm lucky in that I get to stay with my cats when they visit the veterinary hospital. I know limiting admissions is meant to reduce the number of people who come through a facility, but there should be taken into account the effect on the patients.

Katie do you have any visiting vets near you? That would be ideal. I think this is a business opportunity for a smart young vet who does cats and dogs. Purrs dear girl

Hey Katie, I tried to answer your comment via email but it came back. We hadn't heard of that one. It should really be reported to her family physician or to the CDC at: We hadn’t heard of that side effect. That one needs to be reported to the CDC:
