Kitties! Patience wins. I finally nailed that impudent mouse that has been here shaking its tail under my radar a lot of times these past 6 weeks or so. Beware! Picture is coming.
This time I did not bring it to the bed for mom. You may not remember back that far, but mom sure does, that I brought one into the bed in the night about 1 in the morning when she was sleeping hard. It got loose from my fangs, so I was chasing it all over our bed. Mom thought I was "just playing" and I was, but not how she thought it was. I was so rambunctious, she finally turned on the light and saw the blood all over the bed and the mouse plus me...wild eyed...playing with it.
Of course that meant a complete change of bed linens, a thoroughly awake BOTH of us AND...the mouse escaped!
Beware: Here comes my triumphant feat, captured. AND a secret message from me. (thanks CK) ❤️

Kozmo is totally impressed with your hunting prowess and wants to invites yous on a mouse safari in the back yard! However he will has to lays off the slaughter as he has totally decimated the populations here! Not only the mice and voles, but the Moles too! Mt D has not caughted any in his traps for a month! Last summer, when evfurry body was in the townhouse in Vancouver, he was catching 3 moles a week.

Congratulations to you, our great hunter.
Wow, Katie. Well done! You are a mighty huntress, indeed!
Wow, great job, Katie! I doubt I could ever do that. I've always needed my human's help to catch critters.
Katie! You did it! You conquered the invader and showed it who is boss in your house! Concatulations - I know your Mom was impressed!!
Hugs, Teddy
Dearest Katie Isabella,
Oh good grief, you had me laugh out loud here!
What a story about your previous mouse.
Glad you captured this one though.
Our kitties are always very loud if bringing anything up that they caught.
So I jump out of bed and retrieve it and often rescue!
Not mice, they're always dead when they bring those.
Hugs,
Mariette
Wow Katie san, you are such a mighty huntress!
I'm sure your mom is glad that you did not bring the mousie to the bed this time :-D
Well, KI. You never disappoint. Mom and I thought this dead mouse from under the stove was horrific, but the story of the last mousie-chase on the bed is A THOUSAND times more horrific. YIKES! Bloodshed and all!! OMGoodness. We are 100% goosebumps and shivers. Nevertheless, congratulations!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Patience and persistence won the day, even though your human is less than thrilled.
So far, we've only had one mouse get inside, and the cats chased it into the cupboard, where it died of fright!
Oh, a mouse a mouse! Precious is jealous of you catch.
And a mighty fine catch it is. Better to leave it off
the bed I think. Good job, Katie. Precious wants me
to go to the pet store and buy some white ones! I
think not.
Katie you surely are a Mighty Huntress! Well done. They do that sneaky sneaking thinking they can come into a home Guarded by a Great Cat and then they learn, the hard truth, we rule!
Dad thought we would have a few "presents" when the cat yard was opened but seems the wild mice are smarter than we would think

Katie, you are a skilled huntress indeed. I do feel sorry for the mouse, but I know it's the way things go with kitties.
Katie Isabella Huntress of the entire region of East Tennessee, I bow to thee

Miss Katie, I am so, so impressed!
Purrs,

*swoon* Oh Katie, you gottest to catch a true live mousie? Pawsome!
Way to go Katie, I feel the only good mouse in the house is either a dead one or a stuffed one as in a toy one
I'm sorry for the mouse, Katie, but I know you did what had to be done. And you did it well, my girl!
Wow, Katie Isabella! You taught that mouse a thing or two! My Kitty wasn't interested in mice until she was 9. One morning, I walked to the front door to get the newspaper and I walked past something I disregarded as a toy mouse. RIGHT BEFORE I TOUCHED IT, I realized it wasn't a toy at all! And it wasn't living. Then came the mouse she brought into my room and dropped when I turned the light on to see what all the commotion was. Eesh. Eww. I swear, all of a sudden she picked off four or five mice in like a month! All but one died in my bedroom under the furniture. I'm beyond honored that she hunted them all for me (I was anorexic at the time so maybe she thought I couldn't hunt enough food for myself?!) - I just wish I didn't have to deal with the dead mouse thing. On the other hand, my fear of mice went away!
Katie! You are mighty indeed! I may have to use these expert services some day.... Love, James the Client
