This was early yesterday morning. I found great ones later too in the spare room and in the living room. This one was taken in my room. I am patrolling too. Weeks of worrying mom is over.
Does anyone else sleep like this? I have ceased draping all over mom's head and half her face to settling in, with my arms folded in, and resting my chin and throat on mom's forehead while she sleeps. She woke in the deep night time, just barely coming to consciousness (I can tell) and felt white satin on her forehead...minimal weight, just warm enough, and soft as a whisper. It was me. I have come up, lain on the other pillow and faced her forehead for several nights now...resting my head on her forehead. Mom said that is far easier to sleep with (her) than enveloping her head with half my body.
See you at your house. We can trade secrets.

We like that you sleep so close to your mum.
Georgia sleeps beside mum, but Julie sleeps elsewhere in the house.
She only comes in in the morning when she is sure mum is getting up.
On weekends she is on the bed a lot longer ;) MOL!

No even my Barty has opted for sleeping outside, mainly on the still warm driveway! All kitties do that. Maybe part of the night Bandido decides to sleep at the feet of his Daddy and Speckie wants to do the same at the feet of her Mommy, or on the side of Daddy's pillow. Not ON the pillow though.
Glad you found back to usual routine and enjoy kitty life once again.

I am sure there your mom would agree that there is nothing better than sleeping with a warm pet next to them, even if it's the head.

Katie I knew you'd find your way back to your "normal" - we do stuff in our OWN time don't we..........our humans want this and that but if it's not on our agenda - it just "ain't happening!!!!"...........sounds like you have decided to give your Mom a little more breathing room at night - purrrrhaps both of you ladies will sleep better??

I'm pretty sure Mom would not like me on her head or forehead at all. Of course, I am a "large meatloaf" compared to your delicate self, KI, so I totally get it. We're happy to hear that you are back to your real self.

I sleep against Mum's legs when I'm cold but when it's hot I sleep at the foot of the bed.
Katie Isabella you have quite a unique way of sleeping...and you are a bit of a contortionist.
Early on Madi tried sleeping on us...her spot of choice was between out legs...but we moved to much which disturbed the princess so she sought better sleeping places

Precious sometimes sleeps on the foot of the bed. But not too often.
Such an independent girl, she likes her recliner in the living room.
Or her window seat with the blind up a bit to see if we get night

It is good that you are back to "normal", Katie - although We are of the opinion that anything a Feline chooses to do must be regarded as Normal by Our Staff, don't you agree?

Great news! Your sunpuddles missed you.
We need to see a picture of the new sleeping arrangement!! It sounds super sweet though. My cats wish they had such wonderful sun puddles. Half our unit is underground and the other half faces a retaining wall so we get very little natural light. Perhaps you'd be willing to share your sun puddle with two sun-destitute kitties?
My Cammie used to lie across my neck while I was in bed. I don't think she slept like that, but she seemed to like it: she purred during it. I grew used to it enough to fall asleep while she was on me. I miss that.

Neither of us are drapey sleeping kitties, though Saku luvs to cuddle in when mom bean sits in her chair.
