There was a sigh from the receptionist when mom asked, not knowing of course, if they were allowing pet parents in yet. "Sigh". "Yes, in some instances". So..a late appt. They do all the parking lot waiters in the morning hours. Glad they are allowing some cases inside afternoons.
I have been quietly meowing often, eye to eye right to mom's face as though I am trying to communicate. I have been horking a lot and often. And eating like food was going out of style. Unusual. And I look unkempt. And I'm not patrolling nor am I lolling in sunpuddles. My litterbox looks good in that all functions are normal. Not too much..not too little. Right on target. So far I haven't horked today. Mom said she heard me thundering in the hallway last night. That pleased her. Maybe I am on the upswing BUT I need my bloods done and a few minor things. Wish Mom luck in getting my gabapentin down for my appt. Wednesday at 1pm.

We hope you are fine Katie. Dad worries about me and it is time for my yearly check up. He wants to be there with me as I do get upset. I like to graze so it is hard to see how much I eat as the food is out for a few hours till it is all gone. Then dinner the same. I love my treats but parents worry. We are going to see about getting Gabapentin for Einstein and Rumpy. They go NUTS and Einie bites.

I'm glad the vet can accommodate your human when you have to go back there, Katie. I'm actually due for my checkup and evaluation for therapy work in August. My human is hoping she will be allowed to be there by then. We both know I would be fine by myself, but she really should be there for the evaluation since she is my partner.
Well I'm glad they will let your Mom go in with you this time - could be just the right calming touch for you dear Katie and you can at last get your bloods done. It's impawtant!

Healing purrz, Katie. I hope you don't have a hairball struck in your tummy. Dr. D. didn't get my bloods last time either only she doesn't make me go back. She knows stressing me will make me sick. TW is concerned cos I've been retching every couple of weeks and nothing comes up but she and Dr. D. decided against me coming in since the peeps can't be with me. TW is ordering some hairball glop.

Don't forget to have your T4s looked at, Katie. Extreme hunger and an unkempt appearance can be signs of hyperthyroidism. But don't worry: medicine can be compounded and rubbed in the ear. My Tungsten had that. But it's best if nothing is wrong, so let's aim for that, Katie.

We are purring that all goes well when you go to the v-e-t. We are glad that your mom will be able to go in with you. Serendipity went to the v-e-t yesterday and mom had to wait in the car.
Daisy gets extremely stressed out at the v-e-t. She went into respiratory distress last year and had to go in the oxygen tent. One of our tabby brothers, Johnny or Cash, used to start open mouth breathing/panting when at the v-e-t.
