My Results

Kitties, all my bloods did furry well!  Mom always gets worried about them as I am a mature Queen.  I'm close to thirteen now.

Mom noticed two things.  I am more able to wash my pantaloons better now that  they have been made less lush and plush what with my long furs and all. But the other thing mom said she noticed  after my vet visit is I am starting to go slightly UTB.  The foot of the bed  and on the floor, and you can see my legs sticking out but...its the back "passenger side" of the bed. Right around the bed's right leg.  I have done that since I came home including several hours under there this morning.  I was acting fine till then.  That was/is my storm hiding place.

Can having been sedated caused me to me vaguely afraid as an after effect I wonder?  Except for UTB partially hidden, that's the only aberrant thing.   I finally slept with mom last night. But not on her head. Just on the bed.

The results were all normal though including thyroid.  There is one thing that is a worrisome however.  The Vet came out and said to mom "I didn't get a urine sample.  She has a bladder the size of a pinhead, and I don't think she had anything in it anyway".   She is the third vet to say that they couldd'nt get a sample; but the other vets just said that the fat pad on my undercarriage was too thick for the length of the needle they use to aspirate urine from the bladder.  This Vet was joking to make a point though.  So while we would all like to have a urine sample  from me to corroborate the excellent T4 reading...no can do.

I'm still a little leary of being placed on mom's lap by mom since my return home.  But when I leap up there on my own...that's another thing.  I got lots of kisses and pettings and talking to me last night while on her lap while I laid with my head on her chest.  I'm still not 100% myself and that surprises me.

PS Mom and I are having trouble commenting on all WP blogs now..not just the usual 3. If you don't have a comment, please know I tried.

No worries, Katie...take your time to relax again. You'll be right as rain in no time, I'm sure.

Katie Isabella...thank goodness that is over. I sure do wish the vets would invent a way to squeeze pp out of litter clumps.
Rest dear friend and hugs to you and mom...

We know you always read so if you can't comment we understand, but I'm glad you were able to comment tonight. I'm so happy your results were good and in a few more days that sedative will be all out of your system sweet Katie!

I am glad your bloodwork came out good. Your mom could get some nosorb for your litter box to get a urine sample, the vet usually offers it- it is plastic pellets that don't absorb the pee. XO

I suspect slipping under the bed is just a bit of a delayed reaction to the visit, Katie. The sedation undoubtedly knocked your bodily balance off a bit, and this may be your way of coping. Otherwise, things are looking good, eh?

We’re glad you got a good report on your bloods, Katie. And any time you get a little sedation, it can take a day or so for you to get back to your normal self so we bet you’ll be just fine.

Hi Katie san. I’m happy your bloodwork came back with good results! I hope the vet will find a way to get urine sample in the future. And I hope you will be back to your normal self soon. xo

I'm glad the bloodwork was good, Katie. I bet you will be back to normal in a few days. I think things affect you more strongly than they do a lot of kitties.

I am glad your blood work results were good.
When I had to test Flynn's urine every week the vet said he could give me special non absorbent litter specially for collecting samples. I told him I didn't need it because I knew when I took him for a walk he had his favourite clump of grass he liked to pee on. I just put my container under him and caught it. It is so much easier with boy cats.
Maybe your vet has some of that litter.

Oh I'm ever so happy that your vet visit was positive......know what? It takes me a while after going to the vet to get back to my "usual" behavior. Mom says it's just my way of reminding her how much I PREFER to be home and not in a place where they poke me and take my bloods and stuff. Usually two days of "different" and I'm "ME AGAIN" ! Main thing is you are OK - that makes all of us happy including your Mom.

Hugs, Teddy

I think it's pretty typical to be a little weird after such a thorough visit at the vet's house, KI. Especially considering the sedation and all. Yikes. Then again, I think it is typical to be a little weird every day! So there's that! Today, I went to the farm stand with Mom, and I was afraid of the shopping bag behind us. Mom said the word, "Weird." plus "Quit licking the ground." plus "You've been here a thousand times - stop acting like you were just born."

Love and licks,
Cupcake

Great re your results! You maybe remember going to the vet and coming home, and the part before the sedation took effect. Glad you slept on the bed again.

Katie - we will continue to send purrayers and POTP that everything is back to normal soon.

This may be TMI, but one of my cats peed on me as I lifted him out of the carrier, and the vet tech was able to get a sample by wringing out my shirt tail.

That is the best news we have received all day. We hope you don't have any more medical issues for a long time.

We are so glad everything checked out well, Katie! Maybe you are still a little shell shocked about having been sedated and going to the vet. We will purr and pray for you to be back to normal awesomeness real soon. XO

Are you feeling more yourself now?

We're so happy to hear all the results were good; happy but not surprised. :)

Purrhaps your behaviour is a result of the sedation. We're sure you haven't forgotten what happened entirely. Meanwhile enjoy all the cuddles and kisses!

Dearest Katie Isabella,
This sure is good news!
Did not have time for visiting sooner as I wrestled with the proof reading of chapter 12, the final one and the biggest one. Yesterday one of the crew members that take care of our yard, came round 7:00 AM, to do some extra work. Heavy and dirty work and Pieter went with him all morning till noon. Needless to say that only after nap time we got to it, then to Mass and gone was the day! But today we managed very thoroughly. The Pdfs I got from chapters 1 through 4 and 5 through 8, had both errors, as some photos were wrong inserted. One was twice inserted and the correct one, missing. One showing the info being left, should be right and the other way around and there were two photos just blank. Will get hem Monday and in England they're 5 hours ahead so she will work while we sleep. Then I need to make changes right in the Pdf, need to get the updated version for corrections, will do that tomorrow morning. At 6:05 PM I did upload the FINAL chapter and then took a shower, shampooed the hair and we changed the bed linens. Cuddled with my Barty boy and the others who ALL prefer to sleep outside, on the driveway or on the patio. Katies pantalon made me laugh as I noticed that Bandido did completely 'remove' his belly part, completely over groomed and bare and so did his sister Tiggy Tiger, they both went for the almost bare version I guess. Barty does not to remain in my lap, nor does he want to stay on the bed. Spooky has taken his spot on the bottom pillow, the big European square. One thing is sure; having 6 kitties is tough and I feel always like one or more of them don't need the full attention they deserve and all want! Love them and we spend lots of time with them. Barty's favorite durning the day is to lounge on the balcony! Tiggy Tiger, Bandido and Speckie even jump down, not Barty, he walks on the edge of the ballustrade though and jumps on on it. That scares me if watching!
Sending you both hugs,
Mariette

Now I continue with removing some more of the google+ links below my older posts, did that yesterday morning while Pieter was out in the yard and when he naps. Will get that done. Have you tried the new Blogger yet? WHY do they always have to change things and make it hard for us?!
