Kitties! I was just paying my respects and saying thanks to mom for feeding me when Mom got ungrateful with my efforts. Why?
I was pacing at the placemat where I have my food and water. Mom had just refilled my gigantic (seriously I think it holds close to a qt.) water bowl and was setting it down on the mat...always watching me, having learned the hard way, for my enthusiasm... aka headbonks.
Well, she misjudged that particular headbonk that I gratefully laid on her elbow; and a goodly amount of water splashed onto the wooden floor. Trying to put the bowl on the counter, she misjudged that too, and bonked it onto the hard counter edge. More water spilled all over the floor. No way to wake up she said, with cold water splashing her feet and legs at 6:30...and having to get it all cleaned up before *I* was served breakfast! Towels were hurriedly fetched from the bathroom to sop it all up. A refill was done after drying my placemat too, and then, at last breakfast! Sheesh.
Here I am last night...when I was thinking over my day to come...ya know what I mean?
And here I am a few minutes ago, reminiscing the watching of mom running thru the house..literally. AND note, I am stationed at the hot air blowy thing.

Well I'd say that considering you were showing her a "term of endearment" with the headbonk and she was unprepared for the affectionate headbonk, it's just one of those things that happens...sloshing some water on her feets probably was slightly uncomfortable BUTTTT she got some towels and dried herself and the floor off so it wasn't a DISASTER! I'm sure on reflection she was happy for the headbonk in spite of the surprise foot-wash!
Hugs, Teddy
How awful that your breakfast got delayed :) XO
Dearest Katie Isabella,
You ARE a naughty impatient girl at breakfast time... Nudging your Mom so she spills water and more water over her feet.
But as always with our royal kitty residents, they get treated well and first too!
Yes, we have turned the setting to heat as well, it got rather chilly and the kitties were all huddled in the living room on their blankies...
Hugs,
Mariette
Humans need to ALWAYS be prepared for kitty headbonks! So the whole thing was pretty much her fault.
Dad is pretty good with most of our bonks and bumps but we do get the occasional spill or knock off the table in. We think of it as keeping him mentally active. Hoomans need that
PS We have heat on too and I love the vent
Sounds like an eventful morning! Mudpie has already staked out her space by the vent too.
That sometimes happens to mum, but not because of headbonks!
She is just clumsy. MOL!!
We love our heaty floorvents too and have already enjoyed them this Fall :)

Late breakfast is never fun but the heat vent thingy sure is sweet Katie!
Sighs. Moms so often just don't understand cats. PS: has your mom seen the trailer for Picard? I know she's a Trekkie but.... how can anyone not love Picard?
I saw it on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FySrgrKJguE
Sheesh! You had to wait! Poor you. Felines should come first no matter what!
The warms sound amazing. We are envious.
Purrs,
Winston and Emily
This made me laugh, just saying
Definitely her fault. Headbonks are to be expected.
We are glad the water did not splash on YOU, Katie. We love the hot air blowy thing, too! Hugs to you and Mommy!
Good Heavens, one accident after another. It's like slapstick over there. Well, at least it was only water...
That is a lot of water splashing at 6:30 hahaha :-)
Oh Katie Isabella...the unexpected headbonk to the elbow make me giggle
Hugs cecilia
Katie, The PO'M LURVs to give me a headbonk, just as I set down his meal...and it's been touch-and-go with dumping the contents on his head!
That made for an interesting morning! Lexy likes to trip our mom. MOL
Miss Katie, you sure keep your mom bean on her toes. Literally! MOL
Oh, KI. As innocent and sweet as you look, you DO have a way of bringing mayhem and chaos to your mom's day. Well done, little buddy! That's what we're here for, after all.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Katie, you are very good to be a challenge to your mom. It keeps her mind sharp
Let's hope your Mum gets you a smaller bowl next time!
Katie, our mom has had the same reaction to what we've done when she's dealing with the water bowl, except we had to wait for dinner while she fussed about it! Sheesh.
TBT smiled reading this. Iza is head-bumpy like that. So he puts down the water bowl EMPTY and pours water in from a bottle from above...
And she woke up to clean feets too with all that cold water splashing on them! MOL
Parents get upset with us when we spill water but they are the ones who make a big mess.
My Momma spills water ALL OVER EVERY NIGHT! Of course, we like to walk in the middle of her path and then just STOP ... but we've never met a person so unable to contain water! Now, as long as the water doesn't get on OUR heads or body - eh. That's her problem. But drop some water on us and some-Momma's bound to get hurt. ~Bear Cat and Ellie Mae

It sounds like you both had quite a morning! Our Millie hates the hot air blowy thingy. Gracie doesn't mind it.
