A Busy Night

Kitties!  I was sure busy last night.

Mom was sleeping away and  dreaming when I came in after a patrol--- and I really shouted out this time.  I was so loud I worried mom a bit.  She lay there kinda galvanized she said later when we got up...and wondered if she needed to turn on the light and see what the matter was. I shouted again after being quiet and she realized that I was bringing in my family but with more enthusiasm than usual.

In the morning when she went to make the bed... Look who she saw in there!

and next,  who she saw that caused the most hollering to be made!

He didn't make it into the bed after he fell out of my mouth as I was announcing him and Floppy Mousie.  Poor Donkey is between the foot of the bed and the heavy oak chest there as well.  I use that chest to get into bed at night.  Donkey fell plumb out of my mouth. Mousie almost got to my pillow there on the right, but I decided to let him keep warm in the sheet and blankie.  Mom turns it into a fitness course for me to go to bed!  Poor Donkey.

The poor Donkey almost made it sweet Katie, maybe tonight!

Katie, our Chucky used to growl a bit, as he carried my woolly socks around the house! The very last sock her carried is still on the beddy where he placed it; I cannot bear to put it away.

Maybe donkey will have better luck tonite.

Taking toys to bed is better when you hide them way down under the covers to be discovered in the middle of the night.
Have a great Thursday...

Maybe one of these days you'll figure out how to announce yourself and get all your friends up on the bed all the way at the same time. Mom and dad have a small step stool next to the bed for me, mostly since they don't like me jumping down from any height and injuring a leg or something because of my weight.

Donkey got very close to getting up on the bed - the fitness course makes it tough to carry your family members AND yourself up to the "nest" doesn't it!

Katie you were getting all your family in one room in case of stormy weather.
I have known 6 cats in my life and never known one to have a midnight round up.
MOL You are a one and only

We bet donkey understands :)
Katie Isabella, you are just too sweet! When Bear was younger, I'd wake up with my bed full of his toys. Then again, he (frequently) and Kitty (rarely) would meow in the middle of the night for attention. I'd get up thinking something's horribly wrong and Kitty chased me back to bed nipping at my heels.

You are such a sweetie. XO

Geez, I'd be worried with such hollering, too, Katie. I'm glad it was just a matter of enthusiasm.

You are just the sweetest little thing, Katie Isabella! How thoughtful of you to bring your mom gifts. (P.s. thanks for letting us know that the link to Marvin's story did not work. You can tell your mom she can read it here if she wants: https://www.lolatherescuedcat.com/2015/08/rainbow-bridge-remembrance-day.html). Oh! And our mom is working on a cat cafe post as we meow!

Hi Ms Katie!
I too announce when I bring Ratty to bed. But alas, right now the horrible beast Cinnamon is in my bedroom! I have been forced to hide during the day (in my closet) and sleep in the Cat Tree at night. What are siblings so disturbing!?!

Dearest Katie Isabella,
Haha, you really do some exercise before jumping into bed!
Had to laugh out loud last week when I heard our Tiggy-Tiger growl... So I had to check what she'd 'catch' this time around.
It could be anything from a living prey or else. Lost my stylus pen for a while until I did some better cleaning and found it under my night table. She carried it off.
This time she had the denture adhesive cream that Pieter uses for his bridge. Just imagine when she would bite that and end up having that stuff on her lips/mouth... It made me really laugh.
Hugs,
Mariette
