A Present for Mom

Look Kitties! See what I gave mom yesterday.  She saves them like the treasure they are.  I am the Queen of the household and I am used to adulation like this.  I  can don't let it cause me to be insufferable.  She has a bag full of mine and another of Admiral's.  My other favorite brovver has Robin's, what's left of them.

See me on this finally sunny day?  I had to make Mom take it for me.  I couldn't be bothered with the timer for my selfie.  Busy melting down off  of my perch.

What's the point of staff if you don't put them to work?? Your gift is lovely. After mine were gone I found a whisker and mounted it as a memorial. Someday I'll post a picture of it.

Katie, we got our mom to add your selfie to the blog hop. We sure hope that was okay with you. You know, our mom never collected any whiskers through all the cats that came before us. Then she saw other kitty moms doing it and now she has a whole bunch in a box Angel Sammy and Teddy's mom gave her. They are all mixed together, as she has no way of knowing which of us lost the whisker. That's a magnificent one you lost. Quite a treasure. I find some of my beasts' whiskers around the apartment, but I can usually tell only when I've found one of Renn's. His are long and curved, like scimitars. I wonder, though: I'm told that cats have a specific number of whiskers. If one is lost, does that mean they don't have the requisite number for a while, until a new one grows back?

Whisker? Eyebrow? Either way, it's lovely and delicate! At least your mom has the grace to treat it like the treasure it is. My mom would've vacuumed it up and called me the name of Filthy Pig.

Love and licks,
Cupcake

Dearest Katie Isabella,
At least Mom knows it is one of your whiskers when she finds one.
We have six kitties and there is not telling for sorting them out.
Love your melting picture; pure happiness!!!

I have a baggie full of fur clippings, claw sheathes and whiskers from Kitty. I can't say why exactly - but it means the world to me.
