Girl Cats

I was thinking, Kitties!

Mom said she was reading the latest edition of Catster and found an article on the personalities, or ways, of girl cats and boy cats.

She has had the pleasure of boy cats all the way up until Robin came to be with her, and knows them well she said.   There is, to her, a distinct difference sometimes and it pleased her to see the author of the article thought so too.

Mommy was told by me not to do a book report here...or a magazine  report. So I demanded she not go farther with this.  She and I both wanted to say however, that girl and boy cats seem "hardwired" slightly differently.  But both are equally loving and devoted to their fur and human families.

I just had to swat mom with a mostly soft paw because she said she is bustin' to make comparisons and say what she has noticed through the years.  But that is better left for her own blog I told her.  This is mine!  There she goes again...wanting to say stuffs!  I'll tell her I'm done and to stop typing!

I have had boy and girl cats too, Katie, and I agree that they act differently.

Our mom knows there's a difference too. Not only that, since we're just boys now, Mom misses having a girl.

You're right, Katie. We've had both boy and girl kitties in our family, and can vouch for the differences. Equally loving, but different. :)

My human's first cat when she moved out was a boy. The rest have been girls - no reason, it just worked out that way. I guess male and female humans are wired a little differently, so it only makes sense that kitties are too.

Yep, it's your blog Katie and should be all about you!! Our mom bean interrupts us a lot too.
Maybe a soft paw should turn to a claw. MOL

Although your mom is quite correct, it's good that you keep a stern paw on your own blog's going ons.

Just with humans, the sexes are different - and I like that!

I've had only one girl cat, Annie, and three boys, and among the four that have been in my life, I agree--there's a difference! (The boys have all been needier -- lol.)

Thank you to you and your mom for the kind words you left on my blog for the loss of Tallulah.
And I agree, this is your blog Katie and you decide what goes on it. XO

Same here.....Mom had girl kitties AND boy kitties and while they are different they are the same in one thing - both totally lovable and loving - just in different ways!

JJ is the only boy here now and he is quite old at 22.
Does he act differently?
Well, he is pretty laid back and just goes with the flow :)

Your mama certainly has a great example of a girly girl kitty with you KI. That's for sure. I am also a girly girl, ...except when I lose my mind and want to hump people. Then Mom is puzzled and calls me a weirdo.

Love and licks,

As the Furrench say: VIVE LA PETITE DIFFERENCE! (MOL).

Oh, yes! There is certainly a diffurrence! Mummy has had ladycats and mancats and there is definitely a diffurrence. But ALL kitties are beautiful and purrecious!

Have a lovely week, sweetest Katie!

Well Katie there have been more girl cats in our family and extended family.
Our first was Milky-way a male. In 15 years he rarely meowed UNLESS there was eminent danger...like the night a tornado passed over our house in 1987. Meowed non stop.
My BIL had 2 females who talked all the time, My daughter has been owned by 2 males and 2 females both her females talk non stop and then there was Madi we had only had her a few days when she had already surpassed Milky=way's 15 years.

In short my husband compares female cats to teenage girls: he says you always know how they are feeling good, bad or indifferent

Katie, while we LOVE you my Mama is partial to BOY everything! Both her kitties were boys and of course Dakota is a boy!

As long as the kitty loves its human it may not matter if it is a boy or a girl

Hee! Hee!! My Mom says the same!
Both us Boys and Grrl cats are great, but we are different

In a betrayal of her own sex, the Human says that (despite ME) she thinks boycats are ever so much nicer and less dramatic than girlcats. DON'T BE MAD AT ME, Miss Katie, that's HER opinion.

Well, it's a good thing you didn't let her continue! Our mom had boy cats before us, and that's all she's allowed to say! P.s. There's a new cat cafe post up on our blog! We know your mom loves reading them to you.

Dearest Katie Isabella,
We have 3 girl cats and 3 boy cats at this time... There is hardly any difference but it is not fair to compare them that way.
First they all got neutered and spayed, so what's really LEFT to compare?!
I know one thing, the 7th cat, a young handsome grayish male cat who thinks he is one of us, he is spraying our cars, our garage and the other day he was playing upstairs in our bedroom with a mousy toy! He'd obviously sprayed against the bamboo laundry hamper. That is so nasty. Don't know what to do about it. We have enough with 6. I've sprayed his but with vinegar... and chased him downstairs, out through the cat door but there will be a next time, no doubt.
Guess I ought to write that neighbor for having him neutered as well.
LOVING kitties but this is no fun anymore...
Hugs,
Mariette

Our mommy had boy cats when she was little so she knows there are some differences. We just know we're much prettier!

Well, we have both Womancats, a Mancat, and the ManTBT here. There are differences. Each of us three think they make more sense. But we are all probly not. We can just try our best.
