Kicked the the Curb (sorta)

Kitties!  The last time favorite brovver was here, I sorta kinda kicked mom to the curb.  Oh, she got my attention off and on during the day and I laid on her lap in the evening while I watched my baby shows on PBSKids.   BUT:  When she went to bed, while I usually come in about the time she pulls the covers up this time I didn't.  She waited and waited and finally put the brace on she uses for the carpal tunnel syndrome in her left hand.  Petting goes out the window with that thing on her hand!  I get petted with her right hand.  But I still didn't show up so she turned out the light.  I still didn't show up.  Time passed and she sank into sleep.  I never showed up all night nor did I bring ANY babies in for the first time EVER!  NO Donkey, no one.  No announcements.  No visit.  No sleeping with mommy (who got the best night sleep in years!)

And she missed me Kitties, I know she did as she told me when I did show up to assist her getting up.

She was going to be saying goodbye to brovver that morning since he was going home, so she mentioned it to him as he ate his bacon, eggs, toast, jelly and coffee and orange juice.  (Mommy does it up grand for him whenever he's here). Dad Burn if he  didn't say I was with HIM!  He told her we had quality lap time and petting and smoochies on my head and all that while she laid there cold and alone without me to guard her.  I was guarding him instead.

Just sayin'.  Don't take me for granted, Miz Lady!  Don't take me for granted!

Snacking on my sushi...and showing mom who is Miss Thing.

How sweet of you to guard your favorite brother. And good idea to make her realize how special you are and not take you for granted :)XO

Ah...we're sure brovver was furry happy for your company. We're sure you'll get back to regular programming soon. Despite what she might have said about getting a good night's sleep we bet she just didn't want to make you feel sad that you abandoned her. :)

Well, Katie. We look at it this way. You don’t get to see favorite brovver that often so of course when he’s there you would wan to spend time with him. You can spend time with your mom all the other time. :)

Dearest Katie Isabella,
Well, as the saying goes: 'It is hard to serve two Masters!'
Since you love your human, whomever the lucky one for the day/night will be, very intensely it feels like a loss to the one who misses out... But you kinda made up for it!
Love your photo.
Hugs,
Mariette

PS Our kitties have had two entire days of hiding... About 8 men came to the home yesterday and today. For replacing our airconditioning unit from the attic and outside and placing the new one. And worse, for getting all the bathroom tiles out and today for getting the wallpaper off the walls etc. etc. A container stood below the balcony so things got dumped from up high... Hope things will be less frightening for them tomorrow! It already was a lot less dusty for all of us.

MOL, you dropped your human like a hot potato! That is so funny! My human's feelings would be hurt if I did that, I think.

Good job guarding your brovver like that, Katie. Mom will maybe think twice next time!

I guess you put your Mom in her place this time around Katie! I think it's grand that you gave her a good night of sleep (!) but I know she really DID miss her sleeping companion. She's gonna be happy to have you back I bet.......right?

Hugs, Teddy

Don't take it personally, KI. Your mom is saying she had a great night of sleep, but she didn't. Sometimes moms need to be reminded of our importance. Mission accomplished!

LOL Katie san, you are such a good kitty to guard your brother during his stay, but I can understand your mom may have felt like being kicked to the curb :-) Even though she had a good night sleep, it’s never perfect without you!

LOL-That was kind of naughty to dump mama in favor of brovver. I bet she will be even more attentive to you now!!!
Have a good night and behave yourself!!! xo Diana

Your poor mom! Did you ask her to forgive you? Well, we understand he is your favorite brother and he doesn't live there, but you could have said good night to mom. :(

Hmmm...Mom's LOVE to be LOVED. I am thinking that I will ignore my Mom when she comes back from from her vacation...have you done that Katie? Doe you have any hints about what I can do now so she feels guilty the whole time she is away?
I asked Queen Nellie, but Mommy never went away wwhen Nellie lived with her!

Katie, we think your brother was very fortunate to have you that night. You knew where you were most needed we think.

As long as she doesn't withhold treats, sounds like it worked well!

I can tell you, Katie, when a human is used to feline company at night and no one shows up, it throws the whole night off.

Awww, you love your favorite brovver so much! He's lucky to have a sister like you.

You showed HER, Katie Isabella! I bet she'll think twice before she takes you for granted again!

We're sure you made it up to your mom after brovver went back home. All is well once again!

Katie, one should neffur let the Humans start taking Us Felines for granted. So ignoring her for one night and granting your favours to your brovver is Good Strategy (mol).
