Wordy Wednesday- 4 Hours Too Soon

Kitties! Favorite Brovver is going back to his place in the morning.  He came here yesterday.  Mom keeps him company at the Medical Center during treatment.  I pamper him when he comes back with mom; and he gets fried chicken!  I don't!  No fair!

I gave mom an unexpected best treat ever this morning and during the night too.  I let her fall asleep after my two announcements for Donkey and Mousie coming through t be with her when she went to bed.  I did not drape myself over her head, face or neck.  I did not become a soft warm bowling ball to keep rolling up against her all night long.  For the first time in several years, she slept from the first few minutes after she went into the bed until 7 am.  No waking for anything.  Not once.  ALL night. When she opened her eyes this morning, she saw my face within 3 inches of hers.  We were facing one another on the pillow.  Face to face.  I washed her eyebrow and her nose.  She requested I wait and let her do that rather than tire me.  (Hmmmm) ....

Then, I put my footie on her mouth.  Mom decided to not think about their travels through the night.  That's what they made soap and water for, she thought as she enjoyed the softest paw in the world...warm,  with pink beans, and claws tightly tucked up into my paw.  I was making biscuits on her mouth very gently, as an 'I love you' thing to her.  Not a claw to be found. I am very gentle with her always.  She is gentle with me, and that's all I know to be to her.

So she slept wonderfully, first time in several years,  and has felt like a million all day! That is so unusual as I cannot leave her alone at night usually.   She had the best wake up call I could provide and the day has gone on so nicely since.

Put mom's face right there in front of my front feets.  My back feets were on her chest.

What a special girl you are, Katie. Especially when you put your foot in your mom’s mouth. :)

You are a very sweet thoughtful girl! My mommy is training me not to use my claws when making love biscuits on her by talking gently to me and holding my paws delicately in hers and cooing, “ no claws at me.” I am getting better. Even when she lightly pets my belly and tells me “no claws”. It’s so much better to be sweet to our mommies and then they are even sweeter to us! Luvz to you, Patzy

Katie, first, we think your brother's special circumstances warrant the fried chicken, so you do need to cut some slack there.

Second, OMC, you let your mom sleep through the night? Oh, that was too generous of you, be careful of setting a precedent!

Katie, you are such a sweet love bug! Flynn sometimes put his paw on my mouth too. Eric would just march across my head. Nothing gentle there!

Katie, that was very sweet of you to let your mom sleep through the night! Our mommy sleeps through the night after not sleeping through the night for 739 days straight. By then she gets so tired that we can't wake her up for nothing! Funny thing is, it's those nights that some floofy white cat's soft meows from the nightstand wake up Daddy. It's because Mommy is dead to the world and not dishing out the treats right away! MOL!

We hope your favorite brovver is doing well! Sending continued purrs!

Good job, KI. Moms need a break sometimes. I find humans who don't sleep enough get cranky. Mom sleeps like a log! The other night I had to stand up in our bed and slurp her ear to tell her to put the covers on me. She said the word, "Aargh." I mean what did she expect? Should I sleep on top of the covers like an animal??

Love and licks,
Cupcake

That was wunnerful yer Mom got to sleep through the night. TBT gets up every couple hours, which disturbs us somm, but he is careful about it.

He smiled about the "foot in mouth". In our case it is more than he finds grains of litter in bed. Or watches us clean out butts and them realizes we are licking his face. And Iza knows how to open the lower cabinets and walk around on his open pyrex pans and he KNOWS where those feet have been!

But he has been cleaning litter boxes for almost 50 years now, and it hasn't killed him yet, so he just shrugs and goes about the day...

You may not know it, Katie, being a cat, but for a human to have an uninterrupted sleep through the night is a blessing! No wonder your mum felt wonderful the next day.

The best of luck to your brother, as always.

Dearest Katie Isabella,
You sure do know when your Mom needs some extra gentle love and you're great at it! Sleeping the entire night through - WOW. That has been more than 10 years ago for me... Barty gives me all kind of treatments too, sleeping under the duvet for a while, very sweet next to me, or over my head and giving me acupuncture during the night. He is sweet but has needle sharp nails and will not ever let me clip his.
But he LOVES me and that's all that matters, he also goes from my pillow to his Daddy's pillow but he gets less of the special treatments.
Hugs to all, also your special brother!
Mariette
