Kitties! We had a meeting here this morning before Mom got up. Just me, Donkey and....Lion. The Tabbies asked about him and he thought it best to come out and show himself lest anybuddy thought he was sick and ailing. He's not. I know he came home with Donkey long ago and at first he and Donkey both were in the rotation to come to our bedroom. Then, after a few years I kicked Lion to the curb--- and no matter how he was marinated and fluffed...I just said no.
I keep mom and Lion on their toes however as I will haul him out two or three times a year. Now that Donkey is so tired, I gathered them up to have a conference. I asked Lion if he wanted to be the one to come in to see us in the night and he said "yes". I will take that under advisement. Donkey said that he has been at least down the hall to the threshold on more occasions than not and does not wish to retire yet.
Mom found a second Donkey that same occasion that the first Donkey was bought. She has put him out for me a few months ago and put my loved Donkey in a restful place... but I have ignored the new Donkey she has saved all these years. She has had him marinating a long time, as has Lion been marinating but for whatever reason I am being stubborn.
Here is the Summit meeting with me, Donkey and Lion on Mt. Katie this very morning.
We recessed right after this momentous shot of the Power meeting. Donkey was (and looked) exhausted so I made it as brief as I could.

I think they all need to share the power and take turns so you need to be fair to all Katie. XO
Katie that looks like one friendly power meeting of the minds.
Mom has baby oil on her eyelids and under her eyes. ..feels good but makes it hard to see.
Hugs Madi your bfff
Oh no poor Donkey. That is so sad. He needs to move here where we love the donkeys.
Katie, you know what you want, and everyone will just have to follow your lead.
Katie you're the head kitty and we know that what you decide is what is right.
Pawsome picture Katie!
Good to have meetings too to keep everyone on the same page ;)

This looks a lot more interesting than any meeting I've been to recently!
Happy St. Patrick's Day...

We can tell they all love you sweet Katie!
These executive meetings are so impawtant. We hope that the big decisions can be made soon, and that everyone accepts them gracefully.
Who knows? The Second Donkey and Lion may come into their own yet.
You three are a very powerful force!
Katie, I think you're loyal to Donkey #1. Good for you. You're a very good leader. We enjoyed see a picture of your power meeting.
Dearest Katie Isabella,
Oh, we know how stubborn kitties can be in rejecting for the longest time a once favorite toy.
But we can rotate them and low and behold sometimes it works to renew the love for one.
I had to jump up a bout an hour ago, as our birthday boy Barty (14) came in with a strange and loud voice. He'd carried a big frog up the stairs and laid him on his belly on the hallway tiles. I picked him up to inspect if he bled. Suddenly he jumped out of my hand and I had to be quick for grabbing him again - being faster than the kitties! So down I went and out through the garage, over the lawn to the creek. It was so pitch-dark so I had to throw him for the last part as I did not want to walk into the creek... Hope he/she is happy! I'd rather have them play with toys.
Hugs,
Mariette
Well Katie we have very strong feelings about our "companions" so I understand about Donkey #1 and #2. It's just not the same is it...the original has a certain scent over time - marinating helps but doesn't make up for our "spit" and other special scents we add. A brand new Donkey is DIFFERENT. In time it will be accepted I'm sure. I'm sure you will honor Donkey #1's wishes to remain as a favored friend. You are wise Miss Katie.
Love, Teddy
We sure hope they all go with your agenda soon, Katie. You are a good and benevolent queen, and we know you have their best in mind!
Aww it’s so nice to see Lion. So maybe he will make a comeback? :-) That will be nice! Also I hope new Donkey will be accepted some day :-)
I understand Katie. Eric only ever played with his old Scruffy Rat which he had from a kitten. No matter what other toys we got him, he was never interested.
Poor Donkey. He is straight up worn out. Once when I bit the face off my hippo, Mom threw him in the garbage to teach me a lesson. SHE was the one who learned a lesson, though, because the next time she went to the store, she bought me a new one!! Derp.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Sounds like they all want to be with Katie
Hi Mis Katie,
I, Marvelous can understand how you feel about donkey. Although I do play with my new Ratty, I still prefer my old Ratty. But then, I have not had Ratty for 3 years...I have only had him for 6 months. Mom says you take much better care of your toys than I do of mine.

Did you all recessed for a nap?

Clones are never the exact same--we totally get it, Katie.
We are surprised Mr Lion has been ignored. Nip marination has a powerful effect on our interest in some of our household friends. But then, they are mousies and we are attracted to them annyway.
Well, maybe it is like Duck is here, We are slightly afraid of him because he honks angrily at us iffen we pounce on him. Well, it was actually meant for puppies and they seem to love honky noises,,,
Donkey certainly looks well loved compared to Lion and the mini Katie Isabella. He deserves a place of honor for sure.
