Tuxie Tuesday

Kitties!!  And Woofies !!

Several Tuxies have reported that they too bring their babies in to their parents at night.  Some were wondering if it was a Tuxie thing.  I wonder too.  I know Angel of Beaded Tail brings toys to her mom...all the way up stairs I think.   She isn't a Tuxie.

Well, last night I was beside myself that mommy was home.  After we went to bed and I walked all over her 50 times,  we turned out the lights.  Within one minute, I came into the bedroom (turned out to be Donkey as it always is first) LOUDLY and repeatedly announcing that he was there!  Then, I left the bedroom and returned rather quickly and LOUDLY announced the second baby.  This went on for four announcements before I crawled on into bed and became a bowling ball at her waist. Each time she fell asleep which only took seconds as she was so so tired and sleepy, I came in with another baby and an announcement to wake her up.  She weakly said "thank you" and passed out again.

She had a long three nights with little sleep while away and the last night while still here.  No telling what will happen tonight meaning how many babies.  Favorite brovver is here so I may not carry as many.

All my feetie prints are visible too this meowning when I got her up.  The carpet holds them.

  3. No tuxies here, and nobody brings my human anything. Well, sometimes I'll bring her a sparkle ball if I want to play fetch. Boodie catches her favorite toys and carries them around the house, meowing loudly, but she won't bring them to anyone. Although sometimes, she does leave them on the bed for the humans to find.

  5. That really is sweet. Years ago I would bring mom toys after a loud nip fit but stopped after one of our moves. I never told her why. - Toby

  6. You were a busy girl, Katie! I take my mommy my deaded mousies so she doesn't get the variety of toys that your mommy gets. It's really fun when she steps on them in the middle of the night! :) Have fun with your favorite brovver!

  9. Katie darling, I love that you bring your babies to your mommy! It's so cute! What a dear you are to announce each one, so formal and regal of you, Queen Katie! Smooches!

Leo says: I see your tiny footie prints! They are as cute as you are! I should pop over and put some of my giant footie prints right next to them, wouldn't that surprise your mommy! hee hee! I'll bring some nip with me, mom brought it out of hiding and I've been busy trying to steal it!

  10. I love how you announce that you are bringing the toys to your mum. I probably love it a bit more than your mum did...

  11. The Staff wonders whether I'm a bit simple in the head, Miss Katie, as the only toys I ever carry around are the live ones from the garden! My argument is that the live ones run away whereas the others don't tend to (though I am sure they do when I'm not looking MOL)! Anyway I think you are very thoughtful to bring your toys to mommy! xx

  12. I think this makes perfect sense, KI. Once you walk on your mom to make sure she is home safe and sound, you must get all the babies in to be safe and sound, too! That proves all is well in your world.

  13. Katie, you are the most generous sweet huntress! Tommie used to herd his mouses at night and bring them to the bedroom. He was a big polydactyl tabby boy. We have never had a tuxedo cat.
It would be really interesting to find out if markings and personality traits are linked.

  15. I just love that you bring your babies to your Mom at night........Teddy carries one of his "things" (used to be a white mouse but now a pile of rags) EVERYWHERE including to bed with him but Sammy never did that. Teddy doesn't seem to be as "involved" with toys as other kitties I've had but he ADORES "Rags".

    Love, Pam (while Teddy naps!)

  19. Katie, you're too much. Clearly, you missed your mommy a lot. You kindly brought all your babies to her and of course had to announce each baby's presence.

  22. We so love the thought of seeing you bring babies to your mom. Our tuxie sister Tessa doesn't do this but ginger sister Miss Newton does bring her three IKEA rats up to the door every night before bedtime, making announcements all the way up the stairs!

  25. Poor Katie! Sorry you had to be alone. You should have told me, and I would have hussled right down there. I was alone too, but we were located too far away from the path it took, so it did not get spooky here at all.
