I rule the household. My needs are attended immediately. Now, I DO repay. The level of affection I give is unparalleled. Well, I admit other kitties also love their moms just as much. BUT, in MY household, my love is unparalleled. Mom said I would enjoy seeing all the moms and dads in the kitty food aisles carefully...slowly choosing just the right delectation for us. None of this "throw stuffs in the basket and move on" for US. Carefully handpicked and lovingly chosen. Right mom?
I lay my throat with its furs across her forehead at night to show my love along with its warmth and purrs, thrown in for no charge. So it's not a one way street. It does get me what I want and need though.
We kitties have an underground Network where we exchange what works and what didn't. I'm a frequenter after lights are out and she's asleep. You will never guess who founded the Network.

Awww sweetie, so are so very adorable in that picture. I just love you to pieces.! M does a pretty good job of hand picking my funds too at the store. She says she spends hours there. I must agree that she is certainly gone from the house a long time tho. But, she might be goofing around somewhere else too!

And mom sees the same type folks loving looking for the purrfect food on the kitty aisles. There was a point when I became ultra picky mom had to make multiple trips weekly to return something I didn't like and look for something I might like.
PS when my peeps took a tour of all the 8 lighthouses in NC they were with a group. In the group was an 83 yo lady. She was in excellent shape she wanted to walk up to the top of Cape Hatteras but her hubby did not feel he could do it. So my peeps told her to come with them. OMCs she made it all the way. Mom should have put a photo of her that she took a the top on the blog

Our Dad agrees with picking out just the right foods for us. He could spend hours reading labels and selecting what he thinks we'd like. And then, we might not like it at all, but that doesn't stop him from trying! He's a good Dad.
I think your selfie is perfect, KI. Your mom is smart to go out of her way to keep you happy and content. It's the least she can do to reciprocate for all the love! Sometimes Mom tries to pass off plain kibbles to me. Sometime she says, "Want some chicken??" Then she puts sweet potatoes in. POTATOES ARE NOT CHICKEN!
