Hug Your Cat Day
Mom here: My pleasure to hug this sweet girl. And one of the many reasons is this. In the dark hours of the middle of the night, I woke for a few seconds (back pain) and felt something light as a whisper on my hand. I sleep on my side, right side preferred and have my right arm under the pillow with my left opened hand resting on the pillow. That "whisper" I felt was Katie's little head resting on my outstretched hand. I opened my one eye and saw the barest outline of that little one stretched out beside me lengthways and her head resting there on my hand. What a dear sight. ❤ I closed that eye and went happily back to sleep. This girl took Admiral seriously when Admiral chose her and told her to take care of me. She woke me from a nightmare for the second time since I have had her the night before last. And last night she ensured there would not be another what with her dear presence guarding me.

Admiral did do a wonderful job picking Katie for you! She is such a precious, sweet soul and it's a blessing that you too have each other!

Thank you for the wonderful snuggle time last night. We need a few more hours then I can bring over some freshly dried homegrown catnip. Mommy isn't sure how it will turn out so we'll have to let her know! I'll come over as soon as it's ready and we can snuggle some more after we have a go at the nip. :)

Oh Katie what a sweet thing to do....resting your head on your Mom's hand made her feel safe and made you feel super close and that was GREAT for both of you. You two have a special love - and I hope that included bunches of extra huggies today!!

So special to know how much that love goes both ways! Sometimes Nik puts his paw in my hand. Sometimes, he rests his head on them. Either way, your mom is right: it's very touching and so dear.
I believe that those who leave us send us just the right one to fill the hole in our heart. It has happened to me more than once, with cats and dogs. Bless them all...and us. Hugs.

I would hug my cat but I don't have a cat I am not a cat person ok I am not a pet person had dogs for a while and my while I mean 20yrs but now I am pet free and loving it
