Mom got up and there was NO one in there with her. She heard me announce that Donkey or someone, was on their way but nothing was there when Mom got up. She looked everywhere in the house for Donkey and he was not too be found. That was scary as she has a spare Lion but no spare Donkey.
Time passed and after we had our breakfasts and she cleaned my facilities and washed her face and got dressed..she started making the bed and Donkey was caught between the mattress and the footboard.
I was going to bring Donkey all the way into bed for her and he fell from my mouth when I was trying to negotiate from the big oak chest at the foot of the bed, to the mattress itself.
Oh she was so glad that I was going to bring him all the way into bed, and sad that I was not successful and probably discouraged.
Just a story of our life one morning a few weeks ago.

Don't worry Katie, that happens to me sometimes when I take a live mousie to my mum, (not in the bed though!)I meow to tell her I have a present for her and sometimes it runs away and I have to catch it again.
Nothing but good intentions and we're very glad that Donkey is safe!

I know M gets sad when I don't play with my favorite toys and she finds out it's because they've gotten lost or stuck somewhere. The joy on her face when I bring my favorite birdie to bed! She says it's a sure sign I am well and that I love her bunches.
And I do.

I am so glad that you found Donkey. I remember when Squashies lost her fluffy ball... mom had to go to 6 stores before she found another. It too her all day and I didn't get any treats with her gone!
I think you should give it another go, bringing him to bed, Katie, dear. Nothing is better than being snug in bed with your friends.

Oh gosh, glad that donkey was saved. Poor thing under the mattress but very thankfully rescued. You all have a great evening.
Mama has found some of our toys in very strange places too. We are glad your Mom rescued Donkey, he was probably a little scared down there.
