Last night, she laid at the near edge of the bed, her side, covered up to her shoulders and fell asleep instantly.
I soon announced the arrival of Donkey (only!) and while she spoke to me, she went back to sleep. I wound up at her knees on the other side of the bed! She slept on. Without me. She even got to turn over a few times without really disturbing me settled on the blanket at knee level. She went to bed at 9:30 so she did well!
This morning I asked her to get up at 6 by lying on half of her pillow. She said my breath was stale! Can you believe THAT!? But she slumbered on regardless. Half an hour later I asked her to get up again and she moved back, revealing a warm space at her waist so I fell straight down and glued myself to her. I didn't stay long though. I was starved.
That is Chapter Two of the continuing saga "Sleepless in TN".

Katie, you do keep your Mom busy at night. About four of us keep our Person busy at night too. We take her foot place on the bed so she has no where to put her feets. So she has to get up and move us.

Even though it doesn't sound like it, we bet your mom wouldn't trade her sleepless nights with you for anything Katie!
Remember how it feels to get your beauty sleeps interrupted? That's how your Mommy feels except lots more tired. You mean the world to her. So does a good night's sleep too. MOL!

My human sleeps so soundly that even Binga can't do much to wake her! But once she begins to stir, Binga puts her wet nose on her to make sure she does not fall back asleep! Sometimes, actually, that does not work!
Just remember, Mom loves you sweet Katie!
You have to let the mums get a good nights sleep now and again Katie, or they get cranky.

it's really nice that your human is getting that much needed sleep and rest.
but katie listen to me, your fellow tuxie Emma, the way to surely wake your mom up and get her shooting straight out of bed is a little teeny tiny poke in her nostril with a little claw. that always solves my problem of mom not waking up when I wants my treat at 5 am.

Every night is an adventure with you and you Mom in that bed isn't it?! "Peaceful coexistence" is the name of the game for you two I think....sometimes it works and sometimes not...but at least you're together!!
