Kitties, today is my Gotcha Day. This day will start the fifth year that I have been home with my mommy. I didn't dream I would have a home of my own with loving brothers who visit and a momma. I was in a little cage in back of a Vet Hospital with four other kitties who were in varying stages of getting used to humans. I had a huge leap up in that department. How does mom know? Because while she was there to get Admiral's precious paw print, they brought me out to see her while she waited for the paw print. I was all over her. Under her shirt, kneading her arms, her face, her chest, squirming to get closer..loving the warmth she represented and my purr was as loud as a motorcycle engine she swears.
Though Admiral had only been gone five weeks, she fell helplessly in love with me. She took the weekend to think about it and came back to get me on a Monday morning. That next day I wrote my first blog.
Mommy had been visiting all Admiral's friends out of loneliness for Admiral and because it was a thread going back to Admiral. She didn't want to let that go. It comforted her. They have now become my friends as well. She kept saying how kissable all the furriends are and how she wished she could hold them. The other pawrents told her not to feel badly if she wanted another kitty but mom was firm about not doing that. She did not want to go though the horrible burning pain of losing another cherished family member all over again. Then she met me. It was all over but the shouting for her.
I came home..cased the place from one spot on the sofa all day. I only rose to eat and I never used the box though I went to it. Mom gave up waiting on me to go to the box and went to bed. Next thing she knew, I was stretched out full length about a yard long it felt like!! along side my new mommy in the middle of the night. Glued as tightly to her as I could get. It's been that way ever since.
Thank you Mommy.

Some Days You Get the Bear, Some Days the Bear Gets YOU.
Kitties. It's Tiffany. She waited and scooped me up and this is what followed! Foiled again!
pee ess: I sang, I hissed, and several times I laid there looking adorable when the towel aka Burrito wrapper, slid down, me on my back with my arms relaxed on my tummy. But mostly not. I struggled.

Sunday easies
Kitties! I am on mom's side of the bed of course and warming it up for her before she headed into bed in about an hour after I started warming it for her. Of course that was two nights ago and not this morning so needless to say we are up and meowing now. Well, SHE is. I'm in my crows nest.
Thank you for your replies about Google's notice. If mom had read more carefully she would have realized indeed that it mean Google Friend Connect. She read too fast, and did a grand job high jumping to conclusions. She just can be so annoying sometimes.
pee ess: Mom can do her own snow and ice now. Last winter was before her surgery. She wasn't worth a dime then. Heeee. But now..she's a blue streak.

Bad Feeling
Kitties, I have a bad feeling about this. Reading through, if I read correctly they may delete Admiral's blog because she originally started it with a Yahoo address years ago. My own human blog may be gone too, i.e deleted as it has another address other than google Unfortunately my black background messed the reading of this up.

An update on Google Friend Connect
Posted: December 21, 2015

In 2011, we announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.
As part of this plan, starting the week of January 11, we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.
We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.
We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

Furry Friday
Kitties, I am on strike I guess about snuggling all night with mom. I always go right to her as soon as the light is off and then after about five minutes of petting, I leave. I will bring some of my babies i.e donkey etc but I don't come up by her after that. I am at the foot of the bed. Mom complains when I hem her in and complains when I don't!
Of course it's raining. And a possibility of snow this weekend. That makes mom sad as we live on a hill and we don't navigate well in snow. Plus she has to shovel it. And THIS year she can handle that whereas last year it was a struggle. and a kind neighbor just came over and did it twice after the two ice storms. He must have seen her futilely picking at the snow and ice and giving up to go back in the house 'cause after that, he came over. What a blessing that was then.
But she is better as can be now.
See you over at your place. Got nip?

How DARE he?
Kitties, Woofies! There was a terrible invasion. It began at 0630 two mornings ago There was a heavy thump on our deck. The security lights did not come on. I was on my way to have my breakfast and this sound stopped me in my tracks. Mom too. I went to the vertical blinds, walked between the slats and THERE HE WAS!
It was a very handsome and young looking healthy and well furred Ginger boy. He had leaped VERY high to get to our deck. As he walked past the window and I was having a hissy fit, mom opened the deck door and shouted very loudly telling him to "Git GONE"! After two shouts at him, he jumped to the ground. That was paw jarring jump for him just as the leap to get ONTO the deck was also impressive, BUT! No Gingers or anyone else allowed. EVER! NOT WELCOME GINGER BOY! GO AWAY! (but you are a looker I have to admit). No spraying on either side of the window glass thank goodness mommy said. *I* don't spray but you never know what will happen if I get startled. So far so good. I have spent hours at all of the windows since.
Oh, and Donkey, floppy duckie AND floppy mousie were all in the bedroom last night. Just like ol' times. Mom smiled.
Donkey was afraid he would have to go to a nursing home as he is so in need of skilled nursing care. Mom said no, not now anyway. I think he brought his favorite wingmen in just to keep from having to leave home here. They can surround him (which they did) and prevent his departure to places he does NOT want to go. Know what I mean?

Happy MEW YEAR!
Kitties and Woofies!! Mom said our Mew Year got started right. Guess who came on back to keep us company last night? Looking rough and somewhat battered but he made it into the bedroom with an "all is forgiven" attitude.
So Happy Mew Year to you all. She cracked open the new CB calendar to see who was the Mew Year week furriend and it was CODY! We read the information in the front and we want to thank all of the Kitties who helped with the calendar. Ann too and many thanks to Stunning Keisha for the proof reading. Thank you.
Here is the exhausted but still able Donkey lying on his side this very morning . The relationship counseling worked!!
