Adventure Beckons!

Kitties!  Woofies!! Maybe another adventure! Here I have been feeling more my age of 18 until!  Until! A mousie challenged me and lost! Mom asked me why I am in a loaf in the spare room next to the closet...why I'm in the loaf position by the library card catalogue she bought some time ago...why I am in a loaf by the bathroom, by the entry coat closet and in the kitchen.  I've been working like...well, working like a dog the past several weeks.  I deserve a raise.  And I don't call what Mom thinks I don't know, a reward;  I have to go to the v-e-t if and only if she can trick me  so that she can get me into the PTU.  Blood test to see how the methimizole is doing...clars cutted, earsies cleaned, and um...well...she finally noticed for the first time my, well, sorta , my private area because of a so-called sanitary clip (NO BOY CATS CAN or ARE ALLOWED to  READ THIS!) and now she wonders if my ..well, my, um, well! sorta my glands need expressing.  Boy cats may come back now.

And look at THIS why don't you?  Mom had someone come and take my recliner!  IT IS GONE..Fini. Someone else took it to their home and she didn't even make them pay for it.  My new recliner is coming on Friday, so I can monorail again.  LONG time to wait.

LOOK at what she did!

and look what she gave me in the meantime:

I ask you!  Isn't this meanness?

I've been robbed.  Call the police!

Here's the new guy. Humph!  SHE says it fits her better. In the old one her feets don't reach the floor.  What about ME?  You'll have biggafy.
This is a blog hop!

Oh dear, Katie! That is indeed a poor excuse for a beloved recliner! We hope the new one will be lovelier than you can even imagine.

As for the vet visit, well they do seem to be a requirement for us older ladies, although I managed to avoid one when I was unwell recently. Our vet is really good about phone consultations, probably because she's a friend of #1's.

How awful to lose your beloved recliner, Katie. I am sure you will soon get used to the new one though. Good luck with the vet visit.

So how's da mousie sit-you-a-tion Katie? Did Mommy buy a bag full furom the 5 & Dime and turn one a day loose? There better be a soft spongey mat under that blankie on that hard chair. I bet yer mommy would not sit on a hard chair fur too long. Precious

Dear Miss Katie, my angels Maggy & Zoey (and pupper Ms Chessy) all had those dreaded, well we gently called them "special spa, girls only" treatments,
only princesses get them, so just consider yourself a Princess of the Highest
Order.

Done and Done I remember the girls well.

We are happy to report that after dispatching three mousies at our house, we have not seen any additional ones. As to stealing your recliner and replacing with a lousy dining table chair … at least she tried to be accommodating, and you have to admit your mom was very generous in giving away her old chair. If you take enough naps, Friday will be here before you know it. Thanks for hopping with us! Have a great week. I'm struggling to see how you can recline that seat? Maybe the staff needs to be there all the time and lean it backwards for you; is that how it works?
Oh gosh, I do hope you get to express yourself quickly so any discomfort from or attending the vets can vanish. Now as to the important stuff, do share all the inside info on this mouse, the stalking and then the battle. You definitely need a raise for danger money!
Have a wonderful and happy week, and may that new recliner come early, for you and your staff!

Dearest Katie Isabella...OMCs demerits are in order for so many things I can't even list them. BUT the worst is Mom thinking a dining room chair can replace a comfy recliner which is all softness. I hope and purr you get to be the first to put your adorable tushie in the new one.

MOL she thinks THAT chair is a substitute for your recliner? You'd better claim the new one right away!

That chair is a poor substitute for your recliner, Katie. What was she thinking??

pilch92 said...

That was so mean of her. She should have let you keep your recliner and she could use the new one. I hope you are feeling OK. XO

Thank you Kat. I have the fur heart you sent me. Maybe the v-e-t will not think my lady area needs cleaning. Mom just gets all hissy if she thinks something is not going right.

A new recliner will probably be good one you get it properly furred sweet Katie!

Charlee: "Hmm, yeah, that new chair is definitely not a recliner. I mean, I guess you could recline it, up to a point, but then it is going to change into a falling-overer ..."

You had me in FITS young lady!! Your recliner GONE, and the replacement... um... well * cough cough * It's not for long right?

What was she thinking with that chair??? MOL

Mudpie knows ALL about the sanitary clip and anal gland problem. I hope you don't need anything like that, sweet girl.

Katie Isabella, that chair can't possibly compare to a recliner, but we think you and your Mommy are going to LOVE that new one coming. Happy Sunday.

Awww, Katie, we're sorry about your recliner ... But hopefully there will be something you like about the new chair. Can't say the same about the v-e-t, but that will be over quickly. At least vets don't come to stay in your living room the way new chairs do!

messymimi said...

Catching a mouse, what an adventure. As for loafing, a loafing cat is a happy cat, or so I've been told.

I know the vet is no fun but it's better than being untrimmed and ears clogged up and all that, um, other stuff too.

As for the chair, will, it will all be over soon and you will love the new one.

Katie, that is impressive that you deaded that mousie. We are surprised that Mom got rid of your recliner after you did so. That is not a fitting reward, if you ask us.

meowmeowmans said...

Good luck at the V-E-T!

Oh man, if anyone tried to take away either of the big chairs in our living room, my claws would give them a what's what!

Eighteen seems a rather veteran age at which to be asked to like a new recliner, eh, Katie? I'm sure some sort of feline law is being violated...

Greg_1948 in_WA said...

You will be happy when the new chair arrives and should be the first to test it out.

Dearest Katie! I shall come over and you can monorail on me until you recliner arrives! Your Kozmo
