Kitties! Woofies! Guess what? The next door kitty who seems not to be allowed to stay in the house, has always come over here to MY yard and plopped here and there in the yard or on the side porch steps. Well, she has begun taking Spa days on my deck. Full luxurious baths...sunpuddles to soak in...quietness and peace and completely undisturbed. Mom shouldn't really for my sake, but she leaves the cat alone as she can't bear disturbing her since she is so relaxed- and deeply asleep many times. She feels safe here.
Mom took this picture through the big window looking onto the deck. Mom will move the tomato cages to store soon. It will be interesting to see if the lady cat changes her Spa location. Mom speaks gently to her always and she is not afraid of mom. If Mom says "go on...go on..." she does.
The neighbors who have a whippet always in the house...always...and finally-after 3 years- gave this cat a collar. She is not hungry, but I'll bet she eats dog food. The neighbors are extremely unfriendly so Mom gave up trying to find out even the name of the little girl. They are not good about truth telling, and if my mom asked on a sunny day if the sun was shining, they would say no. So mom gave completely up on trying to help or learn about the cat.
I am not pleased, and I growl and scrabble at the windows and run from window to window, but I no longer get hysterical the way I used to be.
