Dark Dark Dark

Mom said to me that she really didn't want to post these pictures as the room as so dark.  I don't know why.  Mom said she felt it would be impolite to ask.  The last place she visited was well lit and Mom was able to ask the owner about herself and the Cafe but this wasn't the case this time.  So here a few pictures are.  But know beyond any doubt mom loved every minute of the visit.  She was there well over her allotted time she said.  She held and kissed many of the youngsters and hoped to do the same for who she assumed were two of the mama's.

The Cafe's mail box

The Cafe's owner.  Very very nice.

The Cafe has been successful for the year and fraction it has been open and they have had a good solid number of adoptions.

I got to hold and snuggle this baby

Believe me, this curtain was used!

These were very friendly kitties and open to snuggles and carrying.

A patron next to me with permission.
Outdoors as you pull up.
There were fountains out on the floors well.
A cat wheel on the floor too.
.
A student was in there and said it was indeed her happy place as she had no one at home.

I loved this painting someone donated.

Kitties, I didn't know it was going to be dark and purple red but the babies were happy.  That is what matters 100%.  I didn't bring the Nikon so these were with the phone.
Wish you had been there.  This is where I got the toy Katie soaked while she enjoyed playing with it.

I hope ALL of the kitties find homes. Each one was loving and playful!

Just a few pics of other things...

Kitties, Mom has not been here hardly to help me with my Part 2 Cat Cafe.  She thought she would show you a few other things for today.

Here is the catnip and silvervine toy she bought me at the cafe.  Within a few minutes, I had it soaked from one end to the other and...the carpet was soaked under my head.

And here is my Plague Rat that is filled with Silvervine that she special ordered me several years ago.  When I don't play with it, it is tightly enclosed.  I was wetting it up too until the new toy came.

Here *I* am after my other favorite brovver left to go back over the Mountains.  All my brovvers were here this weekend.  I wanted to be where he was.  So I got up in my chair.  I kept him well past when he wanted to leave as I was on his lap, and he didn't want to disturb me.

Look what one of my brovvers gave to Mom..
He chose a pic that has my monocle.

Mom went to a Cat Cafe (Part 1)

Kitties!  Mom did go to the Cat Cafe yesterday.  She loved every minute of the visit.  It was kind of dark and kinda reddish light in there.  Made it hard to take good pictures.  There were all girl cats there...always a sweet pleasure...  all the boys have been adopted.  Some were teenagers, some maybe 3 months old.  There were a few probably former mama cats there...calico...and mom got her mitts on a youngster probably 3-4 months old.  She was glad to be snuggled by mom and mom carried her a little bit and smooched the fur off her back and head.   The really younger ones- not quite teenagers yet-nibbled mom's hands with their kitten teefs.  Mom got to love on them all.

There were three sets of curtains hung in the room (not over windows) for the cats to climb.  I loved that touch!  They loved it too.  (But curtains to climb, foster a regrettable trait in the kitties...)😻

Look at the outside:  LOVED the notices.

I don't know how to place pictures side by side,  so I will continue tomorrow.

Oh Noes!

Kitties!  Woofies!  Guess  what?  The next door kitty who seems not to be allowed to stay in the house, has always come over here to MY yard and plopped here and there in the yard or on the side porch steps.  Well, she has begun taking Spa days on my deck.  Full luxurious baths...sunpuddles to soak in...quietness and peace and completely undisturbed.  Mom shouldn't really for my sake, but she leaves the cat alone as she can't bear disturbing her since she is so relaxed- and deeply asleep many times. She feels safe here.

Mom took this picture through the big window looking onto the deck.  Mom will move the tomato cages to store soon.  It will be interesting to see if the lady cat changes her Spa location.  Mom speaks gently to her always and she is not afraid of mom.  If Mom says "go on...go on..." she does.

The neighbors who have a whippet always in the house...always...and finally-after 3 years- gave this cat a collar.  She is not hungry, but I'll bet she eats dog food.  The neighbors are extremely unfriendly so Mom gave up trying to find out even the name of the little girl. They are not good about truth telling, and if my mom asked on a sunny day if the sun was shining, they would say no. So mom gave completely up on trying to help or learn about the cat.

I am not pleased, and I growl and scrabble at the windows and run from window to window, but I no longer get hysterical the way I used to be.

Mom's Fixing to Cheat on Me.

Kitties!  I am in a better humor these days but still not myself.  I am hoping I will be myself, here in another few weeks.

Lion and Floppy Mousie came out but didn't make it to the bedroom.  I hope they both will soon.

Here I am.  I'm starting to do this at least once a day- but not to the highest one.

Brother will be here Thursday till Saturday morning.  I'm looking forward to that.

Last night.  Monorailing again.

This will be a special weekend and all three of my brothers will be here.  Yea, ME!  I can't wait till she leaves to go over the mountains though,  and I get to throw a house trashing pawty again.  One thing SHE is going to do is cheat on me Tuesday.  She's going to a new Cat Cafe in the Big City!

I'd better not smell any cats on her when she returns.

Tail Sez it All

Headed on into the food and water bowls last night.  Mom cropped out her bare tootsies and leggies.

She wrenched her back yesterday when she hopped out of bed, attempted to get her iWatch out of the charger and in doing so, let it slip through her nerveless still sleeping fingers.  She made an instinctive lurch to save it from hitting the oak floor and instead, felt like a bolt of lightening came through her back at waist level.  She sure isn't carrying me around right now.

Mom is Complaining a Little Less

Mom got very happy with a smile and talking to me a little in the night time.  I announced a family member on his way!  She didn't know who but she said "thank you Katie" as she always does,  and soon, she heard another announcement!  She said the same several times!  A delivery was made.  Mom fell asleep again and in the morning, she sawDonkey and Floppy Mousie, my other favorite right there near the bed!  That is the first actual time in several weeks.

(We have very trackable carpet)

Mom also took my steps and put them at the tree.

I definitely do not jump up and get down from anything much any longer.  She hoped my soft steps may be a way to get up and down again.   Mom thinks that my days of running and flying around the house...leaping as I did a month ago, are now in the past. She is trying to face it- and just be grateful that I am eating and using my box.

Perfect for Patrolling!

Still sniffing

And it has my NAME embroidered on it too!

The bottom picture is when mom first opened it for me.  OH what deliciousness.  Fresh catnip and a  beautiful handmade comfy quilt to rest on.

Now We're Cooking...I think.

Kitties, Woofies!  Last night at 11ish, I made an announcement.  Mom was already asleep and didn't hear me but brovver said he heard it as he was still up.  I FINALLY made an announcement after two weeks of not.  That alone was great!  BUT it was that I brought Donkey into my room and put him at the computer chair! That too was a first in two weeks.   Now, I may get him all the way to the bed tonight.  I hope so.  Mom misses me bringing him and the rest of my family in at night. To tell you the truth, I wasn't feeling well there for a time.

I transported over to see Rumpy Bump   and admire the trophy he won; The Golden Ass Rabbit Award. And to invite him for supper tonight UTB.  We'll use little battery tea lights and not real candles.  Don't want to roast mom in bed.  See how debonair he is?  He's bringing his new beddie.  We'll take turns snuggling in it.   We will look smashing- as I am mostly black and he is dazzlingly white.

Rumpy Bump

I still don't think highly of my new tree but I have gotten onto it at least one time a day.  My other one's perches were too small for me which is why I went to the crow's nest (sorry Tabbies) but...fell through.  Mom isn't taking any more chances.

Lots of flood warnings these past days but mom and I are at the highest point of town.  See you later, taters.

pee ess:  Rumpy's Dad taught mom how to get a pill into me!  So she got the last pain pill into me herself thanks to Dad Pete.
