Great Good Morning

Mom and I are here again.  Our hearts just weren't in it for a week or so what with things in our lives going on, and many  related things to do with that as well.  But though things are still going on..we are taking an "US" break.

Because of her kitty heart surgery 5 years ago, she, Mom,  is higher up on the list for the covid shot. (she's so well recovered she prances around like me)!  But since it wasn't a simple by-pass etc, she's further up on the list. She is going in the morning to have the first shot.   Hope she can open a can for  me the next several days!  It's the second shot that scares the fur off her head. NO choices as to days and dates and she is hoping those things work around her other duties that must be done.

Of all things mom cleaned the glassware cabinet this morning and she found several items that belonged to my brothers.  A clear glass cup with one of my brothers' name engraved on it.  She found other things in that genre as well up there.  And she threw out some year 2000 Mardi Gras stuff of all things.  Plastic cups  from then and one heavy glass.

I'm dictating from the recliner top where I am mono railing...enjoying a drenching sun shower.  I'm listening to Daniel Tiger on PBS.  I LOVE those shows.  IF I happen to rest my eyes and mom turns it off, I am awake...er...I mean...I open my eyes again in an instant.  She has to turn it back on.

Mom has to go fetch one of my favorite brovvers in an hour; and the other one will be here to visit in his Spring break April 2. I'll like that!  Him's a middle school teacher and the best player with cats there is! He and the other two were brought up by our old family member and Grand mére,   Robin, a tiny 5 pound Tortie...a fierce hunter... the family cat matriarch! They know all they need, to be the best of cat care takers.  She was also a nurse extraordinaire.

Have a happy sunpuddle day Kitties.  Sending head bonks and side rubs.

Having a nap last evening.

Enjoy your sunpuddles Katie! We sometimes have Daniel Tiger on our talking box too, but only when the sticky bean is here.

We sending our purrs that all goes well with your mom bean's vaccine shot. We wouldn't her not to be able to open a can of stinky goodness for you...that would be the worst.

We are sure glad your Mom is getting her shots, tell her no big deal, the Dad and Mom had very little side effects, a sore arm and tired for one day. Hugs to you and your Mom sweetest Katie.

Katie, hope your mom gets her shot. Lynn got her's yesterday and was
just fine. But she's not had serious surgery like your mom. I got my
crunchies opened just fine this morn. Maybe your mom should pre-open
1/2 dozen cans just to be on the safe side. Then she might only have
to open the fridgerator for you. I send her my purrs. Precious

We hope your mom gets the shot in her non-dominant arm, Katie! Everyone is different, she might not have any intense side effects. We're sending our purrs and purrayers! ♥

I hope your mom's shot goes well. We had ours 2 weeks ago. I have a fear of needles (not a full blown phobia though) and I never even felt the needle go in! Neither of us had any side effects.
Sending love to you, your mom and your brovver.

I’m with you in the sun, Katie! I hope your mom’s shot went okay. My mom got her second jab last week. She’s glad it’s finally over.

I am glad your mom is going to get her vaccine. I am trying to get one for my hubby, but it is not easy as there are not enough to go around. XO

Paws crossed that the shots don't affect your human too badly, if at all. I'm glad she's getting it done!

We are glad that your Mom is getting the shot! We are looking forward to at least another 3 -4 months wait up here in the Great White North. We know with your nursing your favorite brother and the Admiral, you will take terrific care of her, but if you need any kitty back-up Kozmo has volunteered to come over and help! We will all keep out paws and fingers crossed!

Mommy had no problems with the first shot. She is concerned about number two, which is coming in a couple of weeks.

Katie we're happy your Mom is getting her first shot today......my Mom gets her first one on Sunday. I think most humans are worried more about second shots and reactions but we must keep them ON TRACK and brave - we know our Moms can be very brave considering all the things they've been through! With the vaccine they will be SAFE. YAY!

Hugs, Teddy

We're glad your Mom is getting her shots. Our Mom had her first two weeks ago and goes back on the 19th for her next one. A lot of her friends have had both and only one had some minor issues.

We are the lucky ones - shot-wise, KI. Mom got both of her shots already. The first was a walk in the park. The second one knocked her for a loop. I had to sit next to her all day to keep her warm from the chills. Even worse, she couldn't eat because her appetite jumped ship for the day. That means no floor food or begging. Good luck to your mom. She should know that many MANY people get no side effects at all. So there's that. Either way, in 11 hours, Mom was back in action again. Plus she let me lick her applesauce cup.

Love and licks,
Cupcake

Katie, we are glad your Mom is getting her first shot today. We think everything will go well and send hopes that it does! You look very pretty today, Katie, in the sun!

Katie we are purring for Mom that this shot goes well and that the second one will be easy to schedule. We think of you both a lot and send our purrs and prayers of health, wellness and calm to you!

Dearest Kati Isabella,
Hoping that you and your Mom are doing well. Surprised that only now she got her shot... that is rather late, compared to both of us here. We're already two weeks + one day past our 2nd vaccine of Moderna.
You live in a family with wonderful kitty memories, for all humans to remember and that way, the sweet kitties will live on forever.
It is nice and sunny here and we still enjoy the remainder of our Japanese Magnolia blossoms. So many petals were under the tree, right with the heavy rain...
Hugs,
Mariette

Good to hear your mum got the Covid jab, no idea when I will get mine

A busy day all 'round, Katie. I don't know when my covid injection will be; I'm not in a hurry for it, as many others should have priority, like your mum.

Katie, we are real happy that your mom is getting her vaccines! Paws crossed that she will not have any side effects. My (meowmeowmans) mom got hers, and had no side effects at all.

Katie, tell your Mom not to worry about the second shot. Our Mummy heard all sorts of scary stories about it, and how the side-effects are worse than for shot no.1 - but, in the end, although She had more localised pain in the arm where She had the shot than She had from the furrst shot (well, actually, there was NO pain the furrst time), it only lasted a day and you can take Our Word for it that it did NOT stop her purr-viding Our meals and treats bang on time.

I heard the housekeeper say the last nationally mandated shot she got was for something about a pig flu. Not big on shots, anyway, she'll probably get his one, too.

Good luck to your mom with the shots. Our mom got both of hers because of her job. Not everyone gets side effects, and if they do they go away quickly. We love you ladies!
