My mom loves all cats. There were two, now one it seems, cats next door. They don't take good care of her. They have a whippet and it stays in all the time. Comes out for potty breaks. This little Ladycat is always out. Perhaps they allow her inside for harsh weather. No way of knowing. They are unfriendly.
She is over here a lot. Makes me crazy but..mom feels so sorry for her. She has food. We can see that but she is here many many times. Mom won't feed her because it will make her dependent on Mom and possibly cause her to leave her house. Mom WANTS to feed her but she's not starving, so better not to. I will not allow any other cat in my home. Nor share my mom. Mom came out of the house and saw the little lady on our sidewalk enjoying a really fat lizard type she had caught. She even allowed Mom to take her photo.
Mom and I hope they aren't feeding her dog food. We wish we knew if she'd been spayed. We want her to have had her shots. No one will answer Mom's knock on the door. So, another baby out there to worry about.

I would hope that if she's trusting of your mom, that it means she's decently treated at home. I understand why your mom doesn't want to feed her--and I also understand the temptation to do so! Purrs to this ladycat from my angels.
Looks like a cutie
Katie, your poor mom. She wants to help a kitty but probably better not to
make it dependent. Who knows how the neighbor would react either. But us true
cat lovers don't let our kitties too far out of sight or like your mom and Lynn,
not at all.
is there any kind of leash law or containment law in your area? If so, and if cats are covered and the cat is roaming on other people's property, it's possible you could make a report and the cat would be removed if they refuse to keep it in their home.
It's also possible, if there's a cat rescue in your area, to ask advice from them. They might be able to ask for custody to find the cat a new home because of neglect.
Very sad that the kitty is always outside. I can understand being concerned and also being reluctant to feed her, especially when the neighbors won't communicate. That in itself is a little strange. Purrs from us for everything to work out okay.
Some people shouldn't have pets
I agree with Jo-Ann, some sure shouldn't and they disgust us lots.
It's so hard, when all we want to do is care for cats.
Bide your time; one never knows what may happen.
Oh Katie - we send purrayers and POTP to this kitty that some good solution comes for her.
That is so sad. If I lived near you, I would steal her. XO
Drat and darn it, it makes my mom bean so mad when she sees kitties not being properly cared for. Especially when the woofies get all the love. Purrs for the little ladycat!
The thing that makes your mom so a great cat parent makes her want to take car of all cats.
Poor kitty! I’m sorry her family isn’t taking proper care of her. Some humans really stink.
I'd be tempted to arrange a kitnapping...
This makes us so sad, and we understand how it is hard for your mommy to see this kitty out all the time. Some people really should not have pets.
Momma hates how some people neglect their kitties.
It is sad to see a cat that is not being cared for properly.
Poor little girl. We really wonder why some people have cats, or dogs.
Purrs,
The Chans
I agree Katie Isabella...I really and truly worry so much about out of doors kitties. My friend Janice had a most unusual one in her backyard the other day.
Hugs to you and your devoted servant
Cecilia
We hate that this lovely girl is not well cared for. If you can e-mail our mom the address of where she lives or the owner’s name if she knows it, she has the ability to try to find a phone number as the people won’t answer their door. I assume your mom never sees these people outside. Hope nothing bad happens to this sweetie.
