Kitties! I was forced to the v-e-t. Mom went to hers the next morning as well...we should be all fixed for awhile!
For me, I got the grooming chores done...the Vitamin B-12, nails manicured, earsies swabbed out. Mom said she failed to get all that done when she went to her V-e-t. She said she wants to buy (no insurance involved) a glucose monitor after seeing one of my human brovvers having one for a couple of months. He did it for the same reason Mom will...to see what she is eating in particular that could make the bloods soar into the stratosphere. That is the one thing when she has the yearly labs, that she hates seeing. Triglycerides too high. She figured to work on the worst offenders whatever they are. Her Dr. told her the darnedest things could do it. She'll wear it a couple of months to see the lay of the land and then, do without. it and eat better. (no, she isn't diabetic..me either.)
Mommy said we are getting rain again and that is wonderful! Oh and she said she got her hairs cutted yesterday at her Groomers place. Instead of being just over half way down her back, it is closer to just over shoulder length. PURRFECT! I like messing with it. She won't have it wound up the back of her head like a French Twist any more.
Look at ME! This is last evening!! I'm in the kitchen! Kitties! I can still leap up here! Mom does not like my coming down though. Afraid I'll hurt my little leggies.

Tabbies!! O' COURSE!!!
We're glad you and your Mom had good VET visits and that your Mom went to the groomer. Our Mom had a bunch cut off when she went too!
It's good to get those things done sweet Katie and you look adorable up there!
Furkids...Mom's is now just below shoulder length....Gahhhhh! She is NOT used to that!
Oh Sweetheart, be careful up there! No it’s not good for us when we jump down! My mom is pre-diabetic & has stopped eating lots of “good things”! She’s not happy about that! Bet your mom is looking “mah-velous” after her visit to groomer! Licks & Sniffs❣️ Kat
Love you Kat. xx
How wonderful that you both survived those vet (and human vet) visits! I liked seeing you displaying yourself on the kitchen counter, Katie!!
Glad your trip to the vet wasn't too bad. Nice to see you able to jump up high. XO
You two do sound like you're good to go for awhile!
We're so glad you and your Mom both had good vet visits! And oh my Katie, you are still quite the climber!
What a wonderful thing that you can jump that high still Katie, and that you want to; that's even more important. Keep it up.
Darling Katie! I am happy that you got a clean bill of health. I can't wait to jump in the tunnel and come and visit. It has been really hot here! And the house is hot because Mom's friend Dean (who is building our new kitchen). keeps leaving the door open. I have been melted into my sono tube on the deck. I can't wait to cullde with you! Your #1 Man Cat! Kozmo
So you both had vet visits huh? Guess what - my Mom has a Triglyceride THING too. Her doc is always after her to not be a bad girl in the eating department. Mom says she deserves treats - I say she better watch it because I expect her to be here to take care of me forever....period. We are anxious to see a photo of your Mom's new "do" with shorter hair. My Mom's hair couldn't be shorter or she'd be bald. Not a good look.
Huggies, Teddy
Katie, I'm glad things went well for you both! I also think you're smart enough to get up and down safely, though your mom worries because she loves you. ❤️
Hurrah for a good haircut! I went to a short bob for the summer heat, to keep mine off my neck. I'll grow the back a wee bit longer for fall and winter. I don't have the right face shape to wear my hair long, it just drags my already long face down even further, even with layers. I've always envied mature women with awesome longer, flattering cuts!
Katie, we are here this humid hot morn! So glad you got da vet outta da way and doing OK. I now have to have a stool next to our chair so I can git on Lynn's legs. I wasn't able to jump up there anymore. I like stools. I gots more of them now. And yer mommy is good to take care of herself and find out if some things are not working fur her tummy and bloods. Lynn gave up sugar and flour and dairy years and years ago. Never missed any of it. and she nevfur goes to da hair dresser. She cuts her own just so when wet it touches her shoulders. In this heat she has brillo pad hair, mol.
Oh if you could hear me laffing! Loved that.
I hear ya precious! Mom has Brillo Pad hair most of the entire summer!!
Hooray for the rain, Katie. You look good up on that spot in the kitchen, too!
We're glad you and Mom's vet visits went well. We hope that monitor thingy helps her figure out the food stuffs. Love to you both!
Katie, We are happy to see you can still jump up to the counter. We can too, but it isn't as easy as it used to be - and we have given up on jumping up from thers to the top of the kitchen cupboards.
Mummy is always bothered about her high triglycerides. She knows purrfectly well that she should cut out white bread and tiramisu and sweetened soft drinks, but She says what's the point of living longer if you have to give up all the things you enjoy (mol). Of course, regular exercising would help...
Glad you have everything under control Katie!
Vet visits may not be fun but they are needed and I'm glad you both had yours. Your mama has a good plan.
Still being able to get up and look out the window is a really good thing. And we are happy to know you have things under control and that your vet visit went okay. Sending lots of love. Shorter hair for humans seems to be the way to go, especially in a heat wave when water is short for washing things etc.
Thank goodness the visits for you and the staff went well. Finding what works to lower the bad figures is not always easy or possible as, for example, the body generates cholesterol even if you don't consume any at all. Veggies and fruit and fibre are definitely the way to go, for humans, and worked for Mrs H but she still has tablets to help drop her figures further. It's the treats she has that ruin it all 😉, but we all need treats, right? Ground coffee actually ups cholesterol too. Thank goodness we cats don't have to drink that!
Lovely to see you in the kitchen, will a Katie in the Kitchen cook book soon?
Stay well and happy

Glad you are OK. Good that you've had rain. We haven't had any for almost three weeks here in England and it's so hot.
Oona: "That counter appears to be the perfect vantage point for keeping an eye on the territory surrounding your ninja headquarters. Oona approves!"
Charlee: "We're glad to hear you got all your v-e-t things done! Here's hoping you don't have to go back there for a good long while!"
You're so sweet, Katie, we like how you're keeping guard at the kitchen...MOL😻We also stopped by to see if you're okay. Hope all is well, dear Katie and mom🙏🏻Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead to the both of you🐾😽💞
