Where'd He Go?

Brovver is gone to his place.  I will miss him!  I don't like when he is gone.  I bonded with him just as I did with mommy- as he was there on a visit when I  first came home with mommy.

So, I will spend the time that I am NOT napping on the back of the sofa  today on his bed in the spare room.  It's fresh and crisply made up.  She left the spread off,  because he'll be back late Sunday.  Guess what?  We are going to have salmon patties when he gets back.  The house will smell of those for a day and a half, but it's worth it.  Yum.  Mom just told me her mouth is watering just thinking of them.  Some people buy a seasoning mix to dump in the salmon.  Mom tried that once at someone's house, and while she was polite and ate the smallest pattie, she did not like it.  Too ultra ULTRA salty; and who could even taste the salmon it was so overwhelmed by that seasoning mix.   Mom makes it like her Dad did.   I'll get a little of the juice and some of the meat.

Mom just did her prancing around with her fave Hawaiian  on TV.  She broke a slight mist on her face.  I may have to lick her arms and face to wash her.   For me...just a second and I'll show you...stand by.  Here.

Dearest Katie Isabella,
Wow, you are already looking forward to your brother's next stay.
Those salmon patties sound yummy but as with any store bought seasoning, it is way, way too salty.
I would not outlive my kitties if I went with any of that.
Both of us love spices but no salt is being used here.
LOVE that photo and above all your expression, as if you're talking to us.
Hugs,
Mariette

Katie Isabella...Angel Madi only like a hand full of human food. She could be way upstairs in the front bedroom 100% asleep. I used an electric can open a lot so that never really got her attention but OMCs could she smell the salmon as soon as the lid was removed. She also love the yoke out of a boiled egg. Another hearing/smell test. When I cracked the eggs on the side of the sink she came running.

You and Mom enjoy your next visit with brovver.
Hugs cecilia
PS as per normal you look gorgeous

It's good that your brother will be back on Sunday, and good that you're having salmon patties, too! I don't mind the smell or the taste. The smell just makes me hungry for them.

How nice that your brovver is coming back on Sunday, Katie. And salmon patties ... yum! We agree with your Mom -- so many store bought seasonings have so much salt. Bleah.

Oh my Mom makes salmon patties without any mix too Katie. I don't care for it myself (I know - I'm weird aren't I?!) but she and Dad have them often. I'm sure you miss your brovver just as much as he misses you dear Katie but it sounds like he'll be back tomorrow so you don't have to wait long!!!!!

Hugs, Teddy

If your brovver comes and goes and comes back again, that's a good thing. Salmon patties will also be good. Mom wants very much to be a person who eats salmon, but she just is not! That means I am not either. We only eat the fish that her friend catches in the summertime. Salmon and kitties go together like peanut butter and jelly. Enjoy, sweet girl.

Love and licks,
Cupcake

Katie, thank you to you and your mom for stopping by a little while ago. It was very nice of you. I thought maybe you knew, but Pierrot passed away a year ago. It broke our hearts. He had fast-growing cancer in his eye and brain.

The salmon patties sound wonderful!

We love salmon - and so does Mummy. She has neffur made it into patties, however. She is wondering what YOUR Mommy's recipe is, Katie. Do you think she would share it, or is it a Family Secret?

Lola The Rescued Cat said...

Hi Katie! You're so lucky because salmon is never prepared in our house. Our mom doesn't do fish, as she says. We bet brovver will appreciate you keeping his bed warm. Happy Sunday to you and your mom!

Ooh! I like salmon patties a lot. I just crush up some Wheat Thin crackers and mix those and an egg with the canned fish. I'd no doubt agree about a salty seasoning. Enjoy, my dears!
