Freezing Friday

Kitties and Woofies, mom has had to go out and cover the tomatoes and petunia again.  Last week we had 5 in a row frost warning nights,; and yesterday, another came in on mom's watch so she hauled the covering things out again.  Coldish in the house too, though the furnace still comes on some.

I have had brother here over night and he will go home tomorrow.  Mom and I will get the housework done after he leaves, and I will take an exceptional bath  in all the sunpuddles because I have had my furs smooched off.

Just wanted to wish every kittie and woofie a good weekend.  Enjoy it.  Never take beauty, and nature's gifts for granted.  Be grateful.

We are getting hard frosts at night still so I have to cover the tender plants too. Enjoy your bath and have a lovely weekend.

Dearest Katie Isabella,
Indeed, April is changing a lot, cool here at night but not like in your area.
Stay cozy and IF those sun puddles are there; bask in them!
Big hugs,
Mariette

Have a wonderful weekend, Katie! We almost never get frosts here. My catnip is happy about that.

It's supposed to drop into the 30s for the next two nights, but the worst part will be the accompanying wild winds. (Spring in NM!)

It was snowing here this morning. It didn't amount to much, but man, it was cold.

We actually have had 3 days of warm! Mom and Alex have been busy getting the yard cleaned up! Mom had to put chicken wire around all of our tulip plants. The evil deer can get into the side yard where the tulips are, and now and they think they are delicious. She also cleaned up the weed bed beside the garage, the beds where the nasturtiums are and got half the garden ready for planting the seeds. She was going to plant the peas, but there are no pea seeds, she has to wait until she gets to the big city next week to buy some. Alex and Mom put the gazebo up on the deck too! We love lying in the shade and watching the burds! Mom says she was procrastinating from doing the vacuuming and bathroom cleaning, but I bet she does it tomorrow! We hope you and your Mom have fun with your brother! Love Marv

Gosh - Miss Springtime is having a difficulty in many spots STAYING around without frosts and snows and all manner of problems! It's time for FULL ON SPRING - we deserve it right? Right!!!!

Hugs, Teddy

the good thing about me being an indoor cat, i don't even think about the temps. Lynn
does all that worrying and turning the furnace up and down when the wind blows. it keeps
me and my furs toasty. but she has to break open the bird baths as the goldfinch have an
extreme thirst, as do the deer. Lynn brought home 4 impatient plants and now she says
she is impatient for warm weather, oh yeah in a month! enjoy the sun on the furs. precious

It’s been cool here too, but it has made the daffodil display last longer.
I hope your smooched off furs recover. That’s the price you pay for being adorable!

We LOVE that your furs have been smooched off, KI. That is the BEST feeling of all. It reminds us of the story of The Velveteen Rabbit. You mom will know what we mean. Awesome!!

Love and licks,

Our weather has been inconsistent here. Yesterday was a beautiful spring day, sunny and warfm. Today is cold and snowy. It's been like that for months.

We have continuing cold weather. Brrr... I think my garden plants are holding up under the unusual snow fall though. Stay warm!
