She went to the Dr. a few days ago with nothing but a list of muscle complaints. All on the left side..left foot, ankle, calf, shin, hamstring--- all cramping and not related to potassium. It may stem from having had that lollapalooza attack of sciatica Oct. 2015. That lasted several months until it finally faded. I know because I had to keep helping her constantly. Nerve pain is horrid and Dr. said it may ultimately have affected the muscle on that side of her body. She's upping the magnesium per her human vet.
BUT after they talked about that, she mentioned in passing that she had lightening bolt pain in her hand when using it and slightly up into her forearm plus numbness, intense pain in the night that wakes her up and dropping things. He said that's not neuropathy as she was wondering...that's Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. He said to start with the wrist brace and I'm telling you, it helps!!! She only wears it to bed--- but that where the head bonks come in. She bonks my head accidentally with that hard thing at night when I climb up to roost on her. She automatically reaches with both hands to begin scritches and petting and WHAM! I get bonked on the head. Over and over. I think I need the Union.
I may sue. Who wants a dear and sweet little girl? I may have to advertise for a new mom or dad.

I'm so sorry about the bonks - but until the Mom gets used to the carpal tunnel ickies, I guess bonks will be forthcoming. Be patient dear Katie - your Mom NEEDS you more than ever. OK?

Oh sweetie, M siad you jiust pack all your bags and come right over here. You will be allowed visitation rights back home until this situation is cleared up. Your poor darling having to put up with bonks on the head with that big board! Start packing - I'm on my way to pick you up. We will take you back once a week so you can see how she is doing.

Poor Mom, purrs from all of us here. My Dad had to wear something like that for a long time, it worked though, no surgery.

Sorry to hear about the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome...Ron went through that some years ago. These days he has lots of nerve pain...and had to start using a CPAP!
I had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists in 2008. I wish I had not waited so long. I have not had any issues with that since! I wish you well, too.
Oh, no sweet Katie. We feel sorry for you and your mom. We are so sorry she has all that pain and we hope the brace helps her get all better. We sure hate that you keep getting bonked on the head and hope you and your mom can come up with a solution to that. Hugs and nose kisses for you both from all of us.
Getting bonked on the head isn't nice and maybe you do need a union, who really knows, not me that's for sure
Poor Katie, it's not nice getting bonked on the head. Poor mum too. My mum had that before me and Eric came along. She said she kept waking my dad up because she kept bonking him with the brace.
It could be worse Katie. A couple years ago I broke my arm. A plaster cast bonk is worse than a wrist brace bonk, as my kitties can attest. Purrs that everything gets better for you both !

I bet they'd be willing to make you a tiny helmet for nightwear if you batted your lashes and wiggled your little behind ever so gently for them. What a sad posting... but for sure this will not last long; trust me!
At times it is hard to catch your sleep and stay sleeping... For me this week has been awful. Getting a FB friend request, that I accepted because it was a local person and many connections. Than I of course did check out the new 'friend' and almost got a heart attack when I stared at a photo of MY PRECIOUS SPICY-GIRL. The one that mysteriously vanished one Sunday while we went to Church and never got found. I've reacted to the photo but no response... It makes me devastated as I have grieved so much about her that I got paralyzed. A rare auto immune disease... Please do pray for me that I once again may hold my precious girl, that we rescued in Acapulco and flew back home with us.

When in the night is wakes her up are hard things too much the chronicle of a family and Cat was OK!

Oh, Katie, I am sorry to hear about your bonks and what is causing it for your Mommy. My Dad had carpal tunnel syndrome about 5-6 years ago - the wrist things did help but he was getting numb hands when driving and all sorts. It probably came from too much computer at work. Anyway, after he retired he had surgery and it resolved the problem, but if Mommy goes that route, be sure to get a really good hand surgeon.
Those other pains do not sound any fun either. We hopes they will improve over time.
