He came out of surgery and went straight to recovery. Fankfully he didn't need life support and we heard weak hee haws within minutes of being placed in recovery after coming out of his sleep.
Last night about midnight he gathered himself via my mouth and came in to join his pals with us in our room. See? I brought his besties ...Floppy Duckie and Floppy Mousie in with him so they could talk about the trauma of all that happened to Donkey yesterday.
WHEW! I don't know what took so long. Why wait till his very insides are spilling out Mommy!!!!

Oh we are so glad that donkey got through his surgery all right and is recovering. Soon he will all back to new.

This is such a relief, Katie! If Donkey had fallen ill here, he might have wound up in what my mom calls the Dead Cat Toy Museum. Come to think of it, I should post about that!

He is looking extremely well for being one day post-op, Katie. Back to being one of the Three Musketeers again, I see. Kudos to Surgeon S - so fortunate she was able to step in so promptly and fix him when he was so close to the end.
So happy that Donkey is doing well and hanging out with his family once again! I'm sure Dr. Mommy didn't know how dire things were. You know how good we are at hiding when we're hurt. Peace reigns again in the home of Queen Katie Isabella!

So happy to hear that Donkey is on the mend. He's gotten delicate in his old age (much like my MOM!) but at least he's able to join in the nightly trip to the bedroom with the others..........that was a close call!
