Meanwhile, mom and my other favorite brother had gone out to eat last night at Ruby's as mom lurves their salad bar). When they got home from that, they had a grading pawty with mom getting to grade some papers too. He has a total of 186 students and he teaches six classes, so we (he) has over 600 papers to grade this weekend. No, HE will have all of those because mom only graded maybe a hundred or so. When he goes back to his home in NC he will have to finish all of that we had to leave undone last night before school commences again Monday morning. Brother teaches Science.
Moving on, here is what I did last night after mom was in bed, lights out and waiting for me to join her. There she was with her pillow all bunched up to suit her and her position feeling just right. She had her eyes closed I know when I leapt lightly to my place already prepared right beside her. She always carves out a semi circle of area free of the top sheet and blankie so I can have unobstructed access to her warmness. Kitties, there I was, and within just perhaps maybe three minutes she heard that old familiar sound. I have to tell you that I horked a HUGE amount of kibble all over our fresh and just changed bed linens. An enviable pile, Kitties.
Mom had to get up of course and remove the pile, place paper towels under the sheet and cover the sheet with two fresh pillow cases. Then she settled back in. I refused to go anywhere near where I had horked. So I occasionally slept at the foot of our bed. Sorry Mom. (suuuuure).

You are a credit to catdom, Katie!! I can never manage to be quite so precise!! ;)
Katie, maybe your brother should stop giving tests!!
Oh my Katie Isabella that is rather impressive. Too bad it ruined your sleeping spot.
See, that's what happens with indiscriminate horking! :-)
I'd better not tell Ron about all that paper grading...it might give him nightmares! :-)
Good one, Katie! If you've got to hork, do it in style, we say.
I'm confused--why would you hork in your favorite sleeping spot?
Too bad you messed up your sleeping spot but good job on the warning free horking so your mom couldn't push you off the bed first! Bet she moved pretty quick afterwards though!
argh!
when i hear that sound i jump up to get her Moving!
you are so blessed to have children who visit you, its a testiment of what a good mother you are
I had no idea that you could stand so nicely on two feet to receive a treat! Very well done Miss katie.
xx
Awww Miss Katie you are a heroine to all of us girl kitties! Such beauty and well timed horkdom!!! What a great combo! MOL
Right on the bed too! *high five*
I have so far, not horked up anything since I got here. Mommy says it's probably because of my cast iron stomach with super acidic stomach acids from having lived outdoors for a while. And she's not complaining! MOL.
See you in a few minutes, Sweetheart!
xoxoxoxo
Your Boomie
Katie, you really are a little imp!
Ugh, that's a bummer you had a tummy upset, Katie.
Too funny! Our Mama just put all the sheets in the washing machine this morning because last night, some kitty threw up in her bed! AND. She just changed the sheets yesterday! Ach!:p
the critters in the cottage xo
See, you were too excited by having your brother there and playing with you and feeding you ;)
We would not want to snooze in a horked spot either ;) heehee
Good job ,by the way,heehee

Can't tell you how many times that has happened to us. Not near our pillow though but end of the bed or where we walk. If I hear it, I usually have to get up to see who got sick and clean it up.
Meredith does it a lot with her long furs. Ashton does it too cause he's a nervous guy and pulls his furs out.

Good job Katie. I pulled that trick once too, but it was down at the foot of the bed on the blankey and so the humans left it until the next morning. Besides, it was just a tiny bit. When you do something Katie, you really do it up big time!
Top marks for a well placed hork Katie.
Yep, hork happens when you least expect it sweet Katie.
OMC I didn't see that coming! I'm sure it WAS accident!
I like Ruby's salad bar, too. I tend to eat too much though. Did you help grading these papers? His students will love some ow prints :-)
This is such a cute picture of you! You sure had fun with your brother :-)
Katie, WE know you didn't mean it! Our mom is SO rude! When we start making a certain noise, she pushes us off the bed. Can you believe it? Neither can we.
Our mom has a tip for your brother. Try grading papers using a dart board. Wherever the dart falls, that is the grade. So much easier and so much faster!
Oh Katie, we know you didn't do that on purpose. Y'know, once I did that right in the middle of the bed. The mom had to get up and clean it all up. She wasn't happy...but she knew I didn't do it on purpose.
Oops...that was me, Wally. I forgot to sign my name.
Wow. That was a LOT of paper grading.
P.S. I love Georgia, but I'm a bit of a ladies' man (shhh..don't tell Georgia), so....I've kind of got a crush on you, too.
What a drag!!! And here you were all cozy, too...
Oh Katie! I just laffed and laffed at your inventiveness--you are my heroine today! I never hork on the bed--or any other furniture. I like to hork only on the floor--I like the feel of solid earth beneath my feet as I feel it gives me the best control of my aim. But ON the bed! ON the clean sheets!!! Well, that's just the best ever. Brava! XOXOXO
Heh heh heh *highpaw*
MOL! Oh Katie! What a place to hork! You wont believe this, but Star did the same thing to her daddy's spot this weekend! He wasn't there when she did it though but he found it when he went to get in! He was not a happy camper, MOL
Just a thought, Miss Katie, but what if your Mom got into the habit and started grading YOU?!
#1 says she remember with her first Aby, Ikkyu, who used to throw up a lot, actually flinging him off the bed more than once as he was preparing to grace the bed linens!
Purrs,
The Chans
Beautiful Katie Isabella!! Awwwww!! Of course mum understands!!
Enjoy your brothers' visits! Yay! take care
x
Well Katie it happens to the best of us dear heart....if I gobble my kibble too fast it becomes hork piles very soon thereafter. Mom just smiles and cleans it up and onward we go until the next time. Moms are great aren't they???
Hugs, Sam
Oh, sweet Katie, we hope you are feeling better after your uh present on the sheets; of course, your Mommy only cares about that too...Love the action shot, gorgeous girl!...Happy Monday, dear friend...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki, Mommy Cat, Daddy Cat
Katie, we're awed by your horking style!
"In everybody's life a little horking must fall. I think Shakespeare wrote that.
aiieee!! Katie...I so hate it when I have to hork up something when Mom or Dad are there to see me...ick! And you have the cutest way of standing on your hind legs to play! Sweet!
Wow, sweet Katie your brother sure has a lot of papers to grade. I bet he was glad your mom helped with some of them. You are so cute playing with your brother, we love that tummy picture. Hugs and nose kisses
Rocks on Katie!!
Yous da Bomb!
Kisses
Nellie
Even though you, Brother and Mommy had to work on all those papers, it must have been so nice to be all together. :)
As for the horking, we say good job, sweet Katie. If you're gonna hork, hork BIG, right? ;)
Hugs!
Of course it was an accident! I am sure of that. Absolutely sure. Hope your tummy is feelin' much better now. Never nice to have a queasy tummy.
Purrs,
Nissy
Hello darling! I came back to tell you the story of BooBoo. Once upon a time, BooBoo, a tiny little kitty who came *long* before me, frowed up a SPECTACULAR barf right on a student's essay. The Human cleaned it up as best she could, let it dry, graded it, and then made a Xerox copy to return to the student with profuse apologies! *I* have never misbehaved myself on any student work, I am pleased to say, because I am a Good Boy. As you know, my sweet. XOXOXOXO
If I need to hork I do it in my dad-persons bed *mol*
Me too stand on to legs when mom or dad gives me treats :)
XOXO
Faraday: *impressed look* That was one MAJOR hork, for a GURL!
