Insistance

Kitties, I insist on grooming mom.  Even with the bandana on her head I insist on washing even that.  And when she says no...I just go down and wash her arm.  If she tucks that in, I wash the sheet.  She said that interrupts her sleep badly and that she has a hard time going back to sleep.  Why she can't join me for my all day nap is not clear to me! She said I may put my toys in a bandana, attach it to a stick, and sling it over my shoulder and visit one of you to hone my skills. I love that suggestion of "Katie's Kuts" for my business name when I get my start with my new enterprise!  She doesn't appreciate me.

  1. Moms are just... we truly don't understand them sometimes. All that you do to show love, and where is the appreciation? We think you should try harder. Never give up!

  2. Oh Katie, your tenacity is to be commended! I think sometimes you just have to dust off your paws and move on! When you are dealing with humans you have to take into consideration the fact that they are intellectually challenged and thankless and generally a waste of energy! However, they are quite useful for opening noms, ya know, it's the thumb thing! ❤️❤️❤️

  6. Katie, we read this over and over and can't see what your mom is complaining about. We think it's very nice that you keep her and the sheets so clean. We're confused but you're always welcome with us!

  8. Humans are a confusing breed. We cannot understand our mom as well, but we don't give her any option. It's kitties way or the highway.

  10. If your mom has trouble sleeping while you're styling her furs, maybe she is flat-out not tired enough. She probably needs to play more during the day. Then she will sleep harder at night.

  11. Katie I'm glad you like my idea for your hair-styling business....like I said, if your Mom doesn't appreciate your attempts to shampoo her hair at night, SOMEONE will! Meanwhile, you just keep trying - persistence often pays off!

  16. Katie, You and our Gracie should compare notes some day. She is very fond of licking my watch band (vinyl, not metal).

  17. Katie, I feel your pain. I try to help my mom all the time by offering suggestions and stuff, and what do I get? "Caroline, you talk too much. Go play with your brothers."

    As if.

  18. Humans are so ungrateful! Keep at it dear Katie - persistence pays off - usually!! Love the name for your new business. I think it spells success and you already have a built-in client. Keep at it.

  19. Humans do tend to get cranky when they haven't gotten enough sleep. I think this is why Mommy doesn't appreciate all the work you do to keep her clean and beautiful. We agree, she should take more naps!

  21. My Mom nearly died laughing because she has a photo of my Grandpa Bobo when she did just THAT! She put toys in a bandana, attached it to a stick and took a photo of him on the couch with it! She thinks she may have it somewhere on my blog, but she can't remember where!!! Love, Cody

  29. Dearest Katie-Isabella,
Oh, you better quit that hair washing and cutting job. Ours only do the arm washing or nose licking etc. Okay, you feel restricted but it still is very sweet for being able to sleep together like that.
    Hugs,
    Mariette
