Can't believe I Did What I Did

Kitties!  Me a mild mannered loving lady cat and:

Yesterday, Mom took the turkey out of the oven and put it on a thick heat-proof surface that was on the counter for the turkey's roasting pan, so that the turkey could "rest".  Mom had been mashing potatoes and doing dressing and all other kinds of things, when she went into the living room where all the brothers were and said something to them.  She kept hearing her DIL say "No Katie Lou...No Katie Girl...No (fill in the blank)  and so on till finally- DIL called Mom to come into the kitchen then! Don't drag your feet!

Turned out I had leaped to the desktop and over to the opened part of the turkey pan.  Mom had a tent of foil over it, so I started to have some.  DIL thwarted that...then. I tried to lick the buttery drippings...that elicited a stronger no and she shielded the turkey from me with her hand.  I HISSED at her!  Several times.  I wanted those drippings.  So when Mom came in, she was able to deter me as I listened to her and Mom temporarily moved the turkey away.

I was hissing...see my teefs?

I'm gittin' me some of THIS!

I actually did let a few laps of drippings before Christi, my human Sissy stopped me with her hand shielding the turkey. And I got mad and hissed!  I was being a butt about eating my food, so I was hungry hence hissing at my human Sissy.

Look though...Brovver brought me the best shopping bad EVER!  I can't stay away from it.

The turkey was golden brown, and the dressing was good...we had mashed potatoes that Mom used a masher on.  We had berried cranberry sauce and some buttered green beans, macaroni and cheese, turkey gravy, and rolls.  Brownies and ice cream for dessert.

Happy Thanksgiving time that was, furriends and parents.  I hope it was peaceful and warm.

Eeeney Meeny Miney Moe

Mom said to tell you that I am eating prescription diet food for hyperthyroidism.  She had been applying methimazole to my ear each day for about a week.  And while it wasn't quite as much, I still managed to rub some on her anyway.  She can feel it.  It's a very distinctive cold feeling.  So..she called the new Vet and requested the prescription wet and dry food.  You know, I am actually eating it!  For now  You know how we kitties are.   Mom loves smooches.  And I ask for them many times a day.  I get in her lap, tilt my head back and toward her asking for smooches.  I will press my head into her face to get more kisses.  I scent Mom all the time..many many MANY rubs of my head on her..guess what is seeping out of my ear.  Yup. And when she kisses me, where I have been rubbing my head on things to scent them AND her...I get it on my furs too with my paw from grooming my beautiful furs all over.  Washing my face in particular.

Food seems to be the best way to go.  And keep the boy cats away for this private info.....I am not peeing NEAR as much.   And man, I am getting kissed all the TIME! I sure love my mamma.

I am going to try a blog hop.

Mom is Cheating on Me Again

Mom was up there making tracks around the track and look who she met, and just HAD to take a picture of!

She asked permission to take the picture... and so you won't think he was being naughty, Mom will say he was as quiet as a mouse...he never said anything at all...and all he was doing was trying to get his Dad moving again!  Sort of "If you won't start walking again, give ME the leash and I'll take myself!"

Mom was struck by his long white socks!  Just on his front legs.  They were striking while he stood!  You can't see it as Mom did while he was walking to appreciate just how striking it was.  His Dad said many people comment on those long stockings!

I think Mom got a cold for her troubles up there at the track these past days.  Colder'n who dunnit.  A head cold for her reward.  Her ears are a bit wonky, her nose is stuffed and she's commencing to sound like a snuffleuppagus.   (and her hair was drenched by dew and looks like heck!!!)(several days in a row!)

Auntie Ellen made the chicken leg and the orange.  I still play with them.

I'm scrumptious and snuggable.

WELLNow!

Kitties, how do you like this???  So there!  (mom said "Ewwwwwwwwwww")

My med is supposed to be in the mail today.  Now mom can start stressing about getting it to my ears where it's supposed to be.  Poor thing.

Mom was out this morning in the cold & ruining her hair in the damp air.  I meowed to her as she put on her jacket  but she wouldn't listen.  NOW look at it.  She'll have to have a go with the Sebastian hair stuff to smooth it down.  Tough bananas mom...I told ya.  "Wear a hat" but... nooooooo. Ms. Hero of the Open Air can handle it!  Right.  Tell yourself that about 100 times as you try to smooth it down.

Did I show you the meteorite, small as it is, that Brover gave Mom for her bday?
Mom and I both loved this.

Herer is her meterorite.  This thing is actually heavy!

BIZZY Night! VERY BIZZY Night

Kitties! I turned over the trash in my room which is also where mom is at the computer. I totally turned over the trash...raked it out onto the carpet and it was waiting for Mom when she came in to turn on the light, start the air cleaner, and as she turned to go to the kitchen. !Voila!

And look at all the things she said that I let loose in the night.  I announced several she thought.

Now, I had several automatic selfies that were taken while she slept--- and so did I.  See??  So no way did I make all this mess, turn over the trash THREE times while mom was busy this morning!  Three in a row! And how could I  move Floppy Mousey,  Donkey, and Fat Pink Mousie (he was in the spare room!!!) because I was fast asleep.  Even my arms were up in the air.

I am sleeping so hard that my eyes are sealed shut and my tongue tip shows!

Who?  Me??  See?  My arms are up in the air!
I was framed.

The V-E-T

Kitties!  The v-e-t called Mommy yesterday early and told her the news of my senior blood panel.

First, he said that he saw and felt that I was in pretty good shape while I was there for my exam. The blood showed I had quite an elevated thyroid reading.  Rose 2 points from last March at the old place. But mom and I were very pleasantly surprised to hear only one number was out of whack regarding having kidney disease.  The others, three I think, were all right.  So I am still in a mild form of KD.  The other Vet hospital acted like I was hanging on by a claw.  Now the thyroid will be tended to again.  The compounding place called Mommy yesterday and my first shipment of methimazole should arrive in 5-6 days.

I wanted you to know that.  Mom hopes as I get meds into me, that I may regain a bit of weight.

Look at me when I got back from Dr. Paul's place after being stabbed and manhandled.  I stayed till 8, came out to use my box, ate a bite, and went right back under.

You can see one side of my face with its mustache and the whiskers for that side.

Where's the fan?

Kitties!  Hotter than a frying pan out there.  In the 80's.  Kinda humid too.  The leaves are falling however and while there was a color show I saw while on patrol, it only lasted a few days.  We are really lacking in rain. After all those years I spent meowing about how it was (and it was!) constantly raining, we could use some!

Here I am, on patrol even though I may look as though I'm napping.  I am only resting my watchful eyes, that's all.

My one white eyebrow is very noticeable.

I crossed my arms to be more special for Mom.

I went to the new Vet and had a big workover yesterday. He took my bloods and I have a new senior profile sent away.  However, Mom and I will know the result today.  Both my thyroid and my kidney values.  Mom will try again to give me methimazole.  She will try to stay away from me for the first few hours afterward meaning no smooching and hugging for a while right after the dose to my ear.  I lost the weight I gained, so maybe now I can regain some weight.  I have a much better Vet. And kitties, just for the heck of it..the other place I went charged Mom 26 dollars at the last visit there for claw cutting!  This Vet's office charges 16. I already told you they came out with a printout of  $800 for the senior exam last April & my mom raised H-E-Double Hockey Sticks and got it down to the high 500s then in that April.  WHEW.

My new Vet charged 298.00 for the complete bloodwork with its fee--- plus the complete senior exam, cutting clawsies and 40 minutes of his time.  I will start KD foods very shortly.  Bonus!  He has 2 cats at home.  12 and 14 years old. Boys.

So Mom and I have met our separate Waterloos this week and come through.

Mom learned a big lesson I think...Hehehehehe

Another Day...Another Bowl o' Feast

Kitties!  It was 80 degrees yesterday and that was really not what mom and I were hoping for.  Too warm.

Mom went out and left me alone while she went to what one of her colleagues call The Redneck Room.  We all of us as can do so, will meet at a popular restaurant as we always do once a month.  Mom said they have the entire back room to themselves.  Not many others are brave enough to sit among us as we are L-O-U-D.  Very much so...everyone talking at once and much hollerin' and lotsa jumping up to hug someone. Calling out names of those we feel close to.  It's colleagues but still, family. Everyone talking at once and LOUDLY!   There is 99% shop talk going on.   Smooches are given all around and received...I'm glad she left me at home.  My furs would have been standing on end and my fangs bared. Their various ranks don't matter any longer.  And you could have been a so-and-so...but all that is left behind, you enjoy seeing the family again each month.  Mom's is a special group.  Not bunches and bunches in that occupation but a work family was formed. Tighter than a tick on a dog.

Mom said to tell you she got her thing done Monday...and mine will be coming up tomorrow IF she can catch me.

Just keeping a paw in.

One Thing and T'other

Kitties!  If it isn't one thing it's another.  Quite the unsettled times for Mom and for me. Lasting longer than usual.  If you don't see me at your place as often, things will go back to normal here shortly I am assuming.

Me, I am sunning in the corner, practically glued to it, heaped up against the living room wall and outside wall with the big triple window...in a strong sunpuddle,  and zonked.  Mom has the TV on low which I love.  I nap better when I can hear it in my background.  Mom is waiting for me to wake so she can finish vacuuming as it is just the living room to go.

Mom has a throw over her in bed instead of the blanket as she gets too warm under the standard blankie.  But I think the time is almost here to apply the red blankie again.  She likes her feets out the bottom of the sheet and blankie at night.  Her feets get too warm otherwise.  It's easier to stick 'em out when it's just a throw and top sheet.   Oh, and I have crept closer and closer AND closer to where I am now, lying against the side of her face.   She doesn't shoo me off anymore.

Mom and I  want to say thank you to all the well-wishers to Angels Admiral and Nik on their Angel Anniversary.  Thank you.  It made me and Mom both smile.  We appreciate it.

Mom will be screaming and acting weird and scaring me out of my sleep  again (as always) (football or not) because the UT Vols will be playing today.  Well, this evening I think.  It'll be on ESPN which since Mom cut the cord years ago, we can't see.  It may be on the SEC Network and she misses that really badly too.  She only misses cable during football times.

KItties, wish Mom luck Monday...she has something to do, and wish me luck Thursday, I have something to do too.  We are both hoping for a break on stuffs.

I LOVE this!!!
